( open ) i wonder if there's something really that important to me
Who: Himeko Inaba (
dereban) and you!
When: OOC: 4/7-4/8; IC: 12/6
Where: Ceres Academy, Shopping District
What: Inaba's been spreading herself a little too thin with the many tasks she's done, and it doesn't exactly end very well for her.
Rating/Warning: PG-13 at most due to Inaba's usage of crude language as well as vague imagery of puking; I'll edit if anything changes.
[ Mondays were probably the hardest days of the week for Inaba Himeko. Not only was it the first day to return to school, it was also the day she'd return to working. Of course, she hasn't been stagnating; she's been working hard on various things - programming, cooking, and exercise. But there was one fact that remained: because of all of this and the stress that's built up, she... hasn't had much in the way of sleep lately.
Or rather, she hasn't been sleeping at all. This may be a problem. ]

« ceres academy; lunch »
- [ There's something... off about Inaba today. While she's taking class with the other high school sophomores, she doesn't seem energetic at all. In fact, it's the complete opposite - she's exhausted, tired, even. But even with the bags under her eyes, she's still managing to keep herself awake with caffeine, though every now and again people in her class might hear her cursing off in Japanese, somewhat frustrated.
Because when she's really pissed, she can't bother with the native language, honestly.
During lunch, she can be found sitting by her lonesome eating frozen meals (she hasn't been cooking her food since she doesn't think she's ready yet) and writing on her laptop - to anybody who peers over her shoulder, it looks like a love letter in Japanese - some notes. Every once in a while, she seems to yawn, but she doesn't fall asleep; instead, she just rubs the sleepiness out of her eyes.
That's probably not a good sign. ]
Damn it... if only there was an easier way to do this without worry. [ While she's speaking to herself in Japanese, anybody is free to notice that she looks rather disgruntled and pissed off; it practically shows in her tone. ]
« ceres academy; mid-afternoon »
- [ When classes pick back up after lunch is over, Inaba honestly doesn't feel well at all. While she's not sick, her body isn't dealing with the strain very well, and it shows when she politely asks the teacher to go to the bathroom. When excused to head to the ladies' bathroom, she's speed walking straight there before getting her ass into a stall, closing that shit and promptly throwing up.
Anybody can probably hear it-- it's pretty loud-- and the fact that it's not stopping for a good minute or two is rather worrisome.
But after that's all said and done, she goes to wash her face with some water before walking back to class. She's a bit out of it, so she might actually walk straight into somebody. Oops? ]
« shopping district; late afternoon / early evening »
- [ Now that school's over, Inaba has to haul herself to work. While she's managed (somehow!) to reassure most of the others that she's most definitely fine and that there isn't anything to worry about, the one who's doing most of the worrying is Inaba Himeko herself. Once she's managed to get off the train with a wobbly step, she finds her sight blurring.
It must be my imagination, she tells herself quietly as she takes one step, two--
And her vision completely blacks out and she falls onto the floor, promptly collapsing in front of a bunch of people. ]

- [ Want to play something between classes at CERES Academy? Or even her going to school or to work? Maybe even attending classes with her. Or perhaps maybe you heard about Inaba's collapse from a friend (it's trending over the net; the rumor of a raven haired girl suddenly falling out of nowhere) and want to visit her at her apartment after sending her a message via the CEREVice. Anything goes! ]

Hey, can you hear me?
[If he doesn't get an answer from her, he's just going to carry her to... ah, right. They have a hospital here, so it would be the best choice, probably.
Feel free to mistake him for Yuya, since they have the same face.]no subject
[ Inaba's barely able to steady herself as her eye barely flicker open, still somewhat blurry and out of it. She can barely tell what's what and her mind doesn't fully comprehend the situation. ]
Who-? [ She tries to refocus her eyesight, but all she sees are the bright colors and the spiky head of hair, completely out of focus. ] Yuya-?
[ Her voice comes off strained as she lets out a pained groan, shutting her eyes again as she drifts in and out of consciousness. She's still awake, somewhat, but it's difficult for her to think. ]
no subject
I'm not Yuya. My name is Yuto. [He speaks calmly, while he looks at her with concern. He notices the bags under her eyes. As a member of Rebellion from a war destroyed world, he saw many people exhausting themselves to the point where they couldn't stand anymore, so this is nothing new to him either.] Can you walk?
no subject
I didn't mean to mistake you for him. Sorry. [ Apologizing again, rubbing the nape of her neck anxiously. ] I'm... Inaba. Inaba Himeko.

Still, he knelt down over her and pats her cheek a little roughly. Not quite a slap but not exactly a caress either.]
Get up, idiot. Your blood sugar is probably running low.

But she does get up with an annoyed jolt, creasing her brow as she stares daggers into his soul. Even if she's just outright tired, she has enough strength in her to do this much. ]
Don't-- [ She tries to get up, putting her hand on the ground to support herself with a grunt. ] --underestimate me. I'm pretty sure I've had enough blood sugar.
[ At least, she's pretty sure she has? She's been running on caffeine and frozen foods, though. ]

At once he snaps into action, commanding people to step aside.]
You're suffocating her! Move! [He gestures for them to move away from her before getting down onto his knees, checking her pulse and lifting her head gently. To Inaba he speaks softly.]
Are you all right?
no subject
Mmm? Ah, yeah, sorry. [ Would apologizing be enough? She hopes it will be... Though her gaze seems rather uncomfortable as she doesn't even dare look at him. Sorry, Edgeworth. ] I must have caused quite the commotion...

A girl sitting across from him catches his eye and suddenly his attention is immediately drawn to her. First and foremost it's because she looks very pale. It was the kind of thing a doctor would notice immediately but also she was just that unstable looking; like she might collapse at any second. Secondly, after staring at her a little, he recognized her. Hadn't they spoken before? Back when those video games had been forced upon them?
Jude stands up and cross the aisle to approach her. Time to be a busybody, as usual, even if his concern is genuine.]
Hey... are you all right?
no subject
[ She had spaced out somewhat, not recognizing the voice at first as her gaze lifted slightly. It's true that she vaguely remembers this person-- what was his name, again? It eludes her for a moment as she shakes her head from the fatigue, smiling awkwardly. ]
Aah, I'm fine... [ She holds her hand up in apology. This.. feels pretty awkward. ] You don't need to worry about me.
no subject
[He pauses for a moment to remember her name.] You're Himeko Inaba, right? We only met briefly once before. [He isn't sure she'd remember but he does. He's got the memory for that kind of thing.] I'm Jude. I'm also a doctor so... I can help.
[Well, hopefully. She seems like she might be suffering from fatigue and the only thing to help with that would be rest, but...]

shopping district;
[Suddenly, there's a familiar face collapsing over there, and... Elcia really does consider walking by for a moment. It's not like it's her problem, is it? Besides, they hardly know each other, and she's not getting paid, and...
...She sighs, and walks over, and crouches next to the collapsed girl.]
Hey. Wake up.
no subject
Hmm? Ah, it's you. [ Totally unimpressed as she runs a hand through her hair, not exactly pleased with her situation. ]
no subject
[With that all out of the way, Elcia just tilts her head at Inaba.]
I take it you didn't faceplant into the sidewalk on purpose.

Are... are you okay?! Tai chi... [In his time, he's read enough about other variations on martial arts to recognize the term.] I never thought I would say this, Inaba-san, but this is no time for sparring!!
