(open) don't look at this embarrassment of a dead guy
Who: Rasu & open.
When: ooc: 9/4, ic: 17/12, evening.
Where: Pleasure district.
What: Rasu was just looking for Hokuto. Then getting lost happened.
Warnings: general pleasure district stuff, mention of death.
[ He didn't really intend to explore the pleasure district when he went outside this afternoon. He was actually going to see Hokuto, but since he's so rarely in the pleasure district he ended up getting lost. And now he's been outside for at least few hours, and the time when he died is becoming very prominent in his mind. Most people probably doesn't want to think about that too often, and in this case Rasu belongs to most people.
He's really uncomfortable looking between love hotels and brothels, especially seeing all the robots that are around.
You now have a few options.
1) He backs right into you because he was frightened by a robot.
2) He's actually asking for help; even if he's stuttering quite a bit.
3) So he made it to the host club but Hokuto isn't there. And there's people/robots getting payed to be close/handsy here. Which makes for a very uncomfortable Rasu.
Locked to Hokuto: 4) Look who's finally calling. Someone who is extremely embarrassed because he locked himself in a toilet stall and the club closed on him. ]

Which might be why he doesn't notice Rasu until the other backs right into him. He lets out a startled little yelp and then almost overbalances backwards, because the flowery kimono they had put him in is really rather restrictive, movement-wise. He never knew more girly clothes could be so impractical.
He manages to catch himself on the other man's arm, however, and as soon as he's sure of his footing he hurriedly lets go with an apologetic grimace.]
I'm so sorry. Are you okay?
no subject
He glances nervously at the hand on his arm, and is relieved when he's let go of. ]
I, I think. So. I'm so-sorry. Too, miss---- mist... miss?
[ Please don't hate him if you're not a miss. ]
no subject
Mister, actually, but it's hard to tell in these clothes.
[It's pretty hard to tell regardless, judging by the two other men who have mistaken him for a girl only since he arrived in this place. Not that it bothers Souji much, really; he's never cared much about unimportant things like what he looks like and what people think of it.
He tries to keep his voice gentle and calming, since the poor soul is obviously far more rattled than he is.]
And please don't trouble yourself, it was just an accident. I wasn't really looking where I was going anyway.
no subject
I'm, I'm sorry, mister.
[ Really, he means it. ]
N-no, it was. My. Fault. The robot... um.
[ He hates robots so much. ]

He smiles kindly, tilting his head a bit - and then has to tilt it back, because the hair piece they put on him has ended up askew and just dumped a string of fake flowers on his face.]
They're a bit startling, aren't they?
[He hesitates for a moment, thinking, and then reaches out his hand toward the other man. There's a 22 centimeter difference in height between them, and Souji looks like someone who might snap in a high wind, but he is also positively radiating reassurance and a certainty you could probably bounce rocks off.]
Let's get you somewhere a bit calmer, shall we?
no subject
He looks between the hand and the man's face. Rasu looks pretty fragile himself, but it's mostly just noticeable when he's wearing less clothes. Starving to death over a long period of time kind of does that to a person's body. So he shyly takes his hand, though his own is still covered by his sleeve. ]
Um. O-okay.
Hopefully this is okay ^^
Now he gently tows the other man along, off down a less crowded side street where the businesses seem equally more discreet and significantly more seedy. He waves a couple of freelancers away with a small laugh, gives his impromptu companion an encouraging smile, and shortly thereafter manages to end up in the back garden of the tea house. It's surrounded by a wall that muffles the sound from the streets a bit, and scattered around it are a couple of benches piled with cushions and blankets.]
There, much more peaceful, right? I thought maybe you'd like to sit down for a moment and catch your breath. You look a bit peaky, you know.
sure^^
Peaky? Well, he's used to comments more blunt and less polite than that, but he fidgets a little, picking at his nail polish underneath the coverage of his sleeves. ]
Well, um, I. Died this. Way. So it's how. I look.

[Suoji has spoken to people from points in time when he, too, will be dead, but this is clearly not what is meant. Speaking to the dead is not an entirely alien concept to him, either, but back where he is from that is only possible if you have the kind of powers Hajime does. Souji certainly does not.
More to the point, perhaps it's rude to just ask people if they're dead?]
Ah, I'm sorry, maybe that wasn't very polite of me. It's just that it took me a bit by surprise. [A bright smile, and Rasu can remain standing if he wants, but Souji is at least going to take a seat. He still gets out of breath far too easily.] Either way, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Okita Souji.

[ A lot of people come from worlds where they can't communicate with the dead. Technically, the same goes for his world. Or, the world he lived in when he was alive. Only a few people could see spirits there. But where he came after, the afterlife, Sheol, everyone's a spirit. It's where everything that dies in the living world goes when their lives ended. Humans, animals, flowers... ]
I'm Rasu.

[He doesn't seem very rattled by the concept, however. Many things have been upsetting and confusing about this place so far; so much so that "I'm dead" from a person who otherwise seems benign is hardly going to worry him.
He smiles up at the other man, fussing a bit with the slipping hair clip before it manages to escape him for good.]
You didn't seem very comfortable out there. Are you lost?
no subject
[ Some people aren't very keen on meeting the dead. Or get too close with questions he's not very comfortable with. ]
I'm... Yes.
no subject
[He makes an amused little sound at the affirmation, but not unkindly so.]
Still, you came here looking for something, right? Maybe I can help you find it?

Hokuto fishes his phone out of his pocket, and is relieved to see that Rasu is calling. When he picks up, its with a small sigh. ]
Hey, Rasu-san.
no subject
H-hi. I. I um. Sorry.
no subject
The apology makes Hokuto confused, and a little worried. ]
Why? Did you do something that warrants an apology?
no subject
Yes, I. I got lo-locked. In.
no subject
Locked in? Where?
no subject
[ This is embarrassing... ]
no subject
[ Yeah really, why? What's he doing at--oooh. He turns and heads back toward the host club. ]
Nice of you to come pick me up, Rasu-san.
no subject
[ He kind of ran from the other hosts, okay. They don't get payed to leave him alone after all. ]
But I. Failed at it.
grpvjpcathis got lost. dumb email.
[ Which basically means he has to hurry. ]
So you can probably come out and wait at the front.
[ Failed? At picking him up? ]
It's the thought that counts, isn't it?
[ Actually, it's pretty nice of him. ]
no subject
[ And now he really doesn't know what to do. ]
No it's, I'm being. U-useless again.
no subject
Okay. But you can still go out to the front, I'll be there in about seven.
[ Because thankfully he could use some shortcuts when he was alone. Including shortcuts through some random bouts of flying. ]
No, you're not. I'm grateful, really.
no subject
[ He didn't think about that. ]
Th-there's no. Alarm or. A-anything?
[ He still feels useless though. ]
I'm. I'm sorry.
