Of course it doesn't. Maybe time will dull that hurt, but things that hurt, you can't make them go away before they're ready to either. But maybe it's better that way. Even if it hurts, pain and loss, it's part of a memory of something -- good or bad.

[Komaeda steps closer now, cautious still, but less so. He watches her, that look on her face now.]

And memories make who we are. Whether we can use them to stay strong if they're good memories, or learn from mistakes if they're bad, they're both important. [A pause and a shrug, a blithe smile.] But trash like me can't be expected to have that right.
