Either way, Tenka's working his evening shift as he normally does, happily chatting up patrons and pouring drinks and considerably more at home with this job than he was 3 months ago. Still though, he manages to brighten up even more like the sunny guy that he is when he notices Hinata walk through the doors of the establishment and starts to wave his arm widely.]

Heyyyy, Hinata-kun!! There you are! C'mon, c'mon, take a seat.

[Hinata settles in, shrugging off his jacket before he peers at the bar behind Tenka, looking at everything. Despite the faint tired slump to his shoulders, he's pretty bright-eyed, and he glances over to the empty stool when Tenka indicates. What well-known company you keep, Tenka!!]

So that's why you don't look like you're working that hard?

And then he's realizing and squinting. Brat!]

Oi, oi! Do you want your aniki to be working hard even harder? Rubbing my knuckles raw just to make enough of a paycheck to keep you fed? This is the thanks I get?!

[DANG, JUST ABOUT HAD HIM--

But Hinata watches him as he starts going... and going... oi, wait, when did this become about keeping me fed, we don't even live in the same house?!]

[He drags it out, feeling affectionate somehow for him and his dramatics.]

[He jokes but he's half-serious here because Tenka's done a lot for him in various ways. He's just hiding his seriousness underneath his, ehm, little brotherly duty of giving Tenka grief.]

[The half-serious part isn't really.... getting acknowledged. Rather Tenka just keeps going with his air-headed, boisterous facade--]

Ahh, you're finally realizing how great I am then.

[He shakes his head. One day (possibly today after a few drinks) he'll be earnest about things but not right now!!]

[CLASSIC INDEED and Hinata uncurls his hand on the bar counter, ready to take the cup.]

We're finally beginning this, huh...

[He's not going to get drunk, though!! Possibly.]

Okay, Tenka. Bring it on.

[And that's when Tenka happily pours the sake into the cup and gives Hinata a bright grin.]

On the house for the first time you drink with me, Hinata-kun.

Are you really sure that's okay? You know I don't mind paying.

[He picks up the cup between his fingers, raising it to his mouth to drink a sip.

--first sip brings a scrunching of his eyebrows and an expression that looks vaguely pained but no he's got this and gulps it down.]

Would you even be able to hand me the correct amount of money by the time you're done?

[Hinata's got this!! He has an idea on how to pace himself.

[He lifts the cup again to sip from.]

[Sometimes, the things Tenka says--

Do you realise how much they touch my heart sometimes, oi... He grouses in his head.]

Well, I'm still gonna keep my drinking to a normal level. I think it'd be less fun if you had to help me home.

[And he drains the rest of his cup, setting it on the counter.]

[No, Tenka has absolutely no idea. Ever. Still though, he's laughing easily at that.]

It wouldn't be the first time I had to do that for somebody. You're at least probably lighter than Shinpachi-kun.

[Tenka please!!

Hinata does push the cup forward with two fingers, asking for some more sake.]

Do you end up having to help him or others home a lot?

[Welp, Tenka will pour that for him without hesitating.]

Ah... yeah, Shinpachi-kun more than most. That guy knocks out a ton since he thinks he's some sort of heavyweight champ....

But - [he shrugs] - I head back in the direction of the apartments anyway, so it's not a big deal.

[The second cup is easier to drink-- no making faces this time around, but sipping slowly, glancing up at Tenka.

He's starting to feel relaxed and warm, which is probably why he says:]

You're a nice guy, Tenka.

That was pretty fast.

[????? okay he's honest but he's still laughing like--]

I'm glad you think so, Hinata-kun. I think I just do my part.

Your part seems like it's pretty big, y'know.

I'm just one guy in a small town back home, Hinata-kun. It's already enough to keep my hands full.

Even being here, wrapped up in this world-destroying stuff -- that's too big for me.

[Hinata shakes his head slightly. That's not quite what he means. But he hasn't drank so much he's about to spout off all of his internal monologue.]
