[ With all the hubub with the new arrivals, Shirasu unfortunately missed his appointment to meet with Kaoru. But once things settled down, he ventures to the shop. He's curious about modern cosmetics products -- his disguise kit had been left in Meiji-era Japan, but he feels... ill-equipped without it. So, he's determined to use the resources available to put together a new one. How fortunate that he has someone who is... something of a kindred spirit?... with experience in modern make-up.

He steps into the shop, taking in the environment. He's not come empty-handed: in one hand, he's carrying a cloth-wrapped package. ]

Good afternoon, Nagumo-san. I'm sorry to have left you hanging, before.

[Kaoru is busy restocking some shelves when Shirasu comes in, though if he's paying attention, he may notice that Kaoru looks up before he actually opens the door. There's nothing but a pleasant smile and a bow of greeting waiting for him, though!]

Ah, please, there isn't any need to apologize. I believe that we all became quite busy recently... [TO SAY THE LEAST. Most of Kaoru's free time has been dedicated to keeping an eye out for Chizuru or ways to find Chizuru, so the influx of new arrivals had definitely taken priority. Their meeting had more or less slipped away, mentally.]

[ Shirasu did notice, but that just proves Nagumo is as perceptive as he believed. He steps up to the counter, and sets the bundle down. ]

Also, I realize this "Christmas" holiday might be as foreign to you as it is to me, but I thought the spirit was nice enough. So, I brought this for you.

[A look of surprise! Good lord, how many people are going to get into the spirit of gift-giving?? It's a lot of largely useless objects and thank-yous and return gifts. Kaoru's going to be visited by the three ghosts of Christmas at this rate...

But steppin on over to gently reach for the bundle, anyway!]

[ Inside the bundle is a white box with six wagashi inside. Shirasu nods in acknowledgement of the thanks. ]

My pleasure. It's difficult finding like minds in strange situations. So it's best to maintain those relationships, isn't it? [ Since he has very strong suspicions you are not as sweet and pure as you present. ]

[Well, gosh! Kaoru isn't one for sweets, but the familiarity of it is actually appreciated somewhat.]

[Looking up curiously after tucking the box away neatly again and moving to put it out of sight beneath the counter.]

Most everything that we sell in this store by now, to be honest. Lifts, creams, serums... Make-up as well, of course. We carry everything from foundation to top of the line lid pigments. Where would you like to start?

Where would you recommend starting if you were going less for beauty and more for disguise?

Disguise? [GOSH WHO HERE WOULD POSSIBLY KNOW ABOUT DISGUISES definitely not Kaoru Nagumo.]

My, what an odd request... [Doesn't mean he's not going to answer it, though!!]

I suppose it depends on what you mean, sir. One can "disguise" their features with the right contouring, emphasize with highlighting, and change the overall external perception of others with the right colors. Does that sound like a good place to start?

[ He just smiles slightly at Kaoru calling his question "odd". But he's very interested in the explanation that follows. ]

That does sound very useful. Back home, I was usually limited to thick face paint or masks which took time to create. [ So limiting, but his kit had contained many well-made pieces. He's sorry to have lost it. ]

It sounds like a tedious process.

[Kaoru doesn't even bother asking what he'd need things like that for, because it's not like he doesn't recognize the Fuuma name even if he's never outwardly reacted to it. That, and people in Cerealia have some weird hobbies so who is he to judge...]
