[Cliff was standing, at least. It was a start-- the problem was getting his arms untangled from the vines, but he had a few ideas in mind. At least one of them involved letting the tree drag him in so he could ram his fist in the trunk. A more practical side of his semi-drunken mind considered the possibility of just being too boring for the tree to cuddle.]

[Of course the fox can say whatever he wants, considering he's not the one doing the fighting. Still, at his word the young man with the sword steps in again, this time aiming to cut the vines holding Cliff (and dodging a few others in the process).
Luckily he's one of the faster swords, so dodging isn't too hard, now that he knows what to look for.]
