![]() A few weeks prior to December 26th, an invitation went out to all whom already reside in Cerealia. In delicate, curling script, it read: You are cordially invited by Natalia L.K. Lanvaldear to a Winter Ball to be held on the Eve of December 26th in the Gardens. Dress in your best attire and enjoy a magical evening of dance and fine cuisine. What do you mean we should fuss about worlds being destroyed? Get into the holiday spirit, you scrooge! And in regards to the new-comers: whether you have been wandering Cerealia over the course of the past few days and managed to receive one of the later waves of invitations or have simply suddenly appeared in the gardens with nothing but the (hopefully…. appropriate….) clothes on your back, welcome. The gardens have been transformed through the work of

[Rei curls her fingers around Inaba's and tugs gently, pulling her close but leaving room for
Jesuscomfort. Stepping out onto the dance floor, she starts off slow in a back corner.]Starting out, pretend there's a box on the ground that's about three steps wide. Watch my feet, and you'll see. You should never have to take more than three steps to anywhere in the box.

Jesustoo much comfort, anyway. Hitching a breath, she carefully looks down at her feet, trying to follow the steps in slow motions. At least she's paying enough attention to not step on any toes! ]Ah-- like this?
no subject
Yes, just like this. Slowly, just one two three.
no subject
[ Her voice is merely a murmur, a spoken breath as she perks her ears up to listen to the rhythm of the music and match, still looking down to make sure she doesn't accidentally screw herself over. ]
Is there anything else I need to know? [ She's kind of stiff and robotic with her movements but that's only because she doesn't really know what to do... haha. ]
no subject
You need to relax. Just enjoy it, let me guide you. Follow my movements, and don’t be so stiff. Watching your feet is just going to trip you up, so all you need to do is remember one two three. Left, then right then left.
no subject
[ That... would probably be awkward, so Inaba just opts for looking directly at Rei, trying to follow her movements, taking a breath with each step. Okay, so far so good. She hasn't tripped up yet. ]
So just like this.
no subject
That's exactly it. See? It's alright, you're doing fine. A natural, even.

[In fact, so amazing Rei's even blushing...just a bit.]
But she's just getting started. And we're not sure how her career will go, with...everything else.
no subject
[ Amazing, that is -- from the brief description she's heard. ]
Ah, yeah. Makes sense... Must be hard, huh.

[She smiles.]
And you're a fine dancer. See, you're not even paying attention.
no subject
[ She didn't even realize. In fact, that alone makes her laugh. ]
Haha, I guess so. This means I'll have to show off my dancing skills when my friends show up. [ If they ever do. ]
no subject
[She grins.]
Tell me about your boyfriend?
no subject
[ There's a slight pause in her movements just for the faintest of seconds as her face turns completely red, slightly embarrassed. ]
Ah, well, Taichi, he's... [ Damn it, she's kind of flustered now. ] He's an idiot. A completely selfless idiot who would sacrifice himself for other people. He's kind in that way, but harmful in that way, too.

[ It's... not something she likes talking about, truthfully. ]
But no, my world's as normal as can be. [ That's a lie, but it's not one easily seen through. ]
no subject
Normal's relative anyway. Where I'm from we have actual superheroes.
