![]() A few weeks prior to December 26th, an invitation went out to all whom already reside in Cerealia. In delicate, curling script, it read: You are cordially invited by Natalia L.K. Lanvaldear to a Winter Ball to be held on the Eve of December 26th in the Gardens. Dress in your best attire and enjoy a magical evening of dance and fine cuisine. What do you mean we should fuss about worlds being destroyed? Get into the holiday spirit, you scrooge! And in regards to the new-comers: whether you have been wandering Cerealia over the course of the past few days and managed to receive one of the later waves of invitations or have simply suddenly appeared in the gardens with nothing but the (hopefully…. appropriate….) clothes on your back, welcome. The gardens have been transformed through the work of

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post overflow! It's a bit early but just to make sure the transition for everyone over here was captcha-free. This one is player-run and all the basics have been laid out for you here. Absolutely feel free to come up with your own prompts and post new intros! For your convenience, I whole-heartedly welcome questions and inquiries being directed to my attention here and I'll answer them to the best of my ability! |

[It's a genuine question, one asked with as businesslike of a tone as she can manage, considering how personal of an inquiry it is for her, too. And especially because the recent events in her own home had involved reshaping the universe to one individual's desires, it's not impossible that this is an illusion somehow, but wouldn't that also mean...?
No. That's too sad to even consider. It couldn't be.]
But then... what is it?

I'm just as clueless as you are.
[ he has some ideas, but... who knows. this may not be purgatory. everybody else seems... alive. ]
no subject
I would like to think it isn't, simply because it means that both what we remember and what we are experiencing now are real, valid things. But is there some reason you feel that way?

after all, people can get very stubborn. he doesn't want to get into any heated arguments, if it ever comes to that.
and also...? he mostly doesn't believe in any of this since he isn't even supposed to be breathing. ]
It's possible to be put into code and live in a virtual reality, but... let's just call it a gut feeling.
[ and leave it at that. ]

Hmm... Then perhaps there's a grain of truth to what information has been provided for us. It's simply hard to tell which part it is.
[Obviously he doesn't want to go into detail, though. She shifts a little in her seat and tries to think of a way to veer away from it.]
Well... Have you spoken with anyone else? I wonder if those who have been here longer might know more about it. I'm also curious about how frequently new people tend to manifest, as the case seems to be...

[ He just shakes his head. ]
I'm sure we'll get our answers, even if we have to scrounge around for them ourselves.

I have heard from others that contact with the individuals who run this place is difficult, but I don't want to feel like I'm sitting on my hands. If there's something I can do, I want to do it.
[She pushes her empty plate away and leans her elbows on the table, looking down at it.]
I just... don't know what that is yet. I don't mean to take it out on you, but I suppose I didn't really have anyone else to talk to about it... I'm sorry.
no subject
I don't think that was anything apologise for. If you just arrived, then there's definitely a lot on your mind.
[ Actual hypocrite Tadashi Hamada. ]

[Since they're in the same boat and all. Using a straw to stab idly at the ice cubes in her drink, she watches it for a while, then looks up at him again.]
I suppose the only thing to assume true is that we're here, and we'll be here for a while yet, from the looks of things. It may be in our best interests not only to learn what we can, but to come together as a group, as well.
