![]() A few weeks prior to December 26th, an invitation went out to all whom already reside in Cerealia. In delicate, curling script, it read: You are cordially invited by Natalia L.K. Lanvaldear to a Winter Ball to be held on the Eve of December 26th in the Gardens. Dress in your best attire and enjoy a magical evening of dance and fine cuisine. What do you mean we should fuss about worlds being destroyed? Get into the holiday spirit, you scrooge! And in regards to the new-comers: whether you have been wandering Cerealia over the course of the past few days and managed to receive one of the later waves of invitations or have simply suddenly appeared in the gardens with nothing but the (hopefully…. appropriate….) clothes on your back, welcome. The gardens have been transformed through the work of

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post overflow! It's a bit early but just to make sure the transition for everyone over here was captcha-free. This one is player-run and all the basics have been laid out for you here. Absolutely feel free to come up with your own prompts and post new intros! For your convenience, I whole-heartedly welcome questions and inquiries being directed to my attention here and I'll answer them to the best of my ability! |

Oh... well — thank you. I'm quite partial to them myself.
no subject
Good taste! [Glancing over toward wherever the nearest sparkly snowflake ornament is. He's even got a pin with one on it in his hair! Sparkles are just superior, basically.]
This is the first time I've been to a party, but I'd go to waaay more if they all looked so nice.
no subject
Your first party? [ ever??? ] Well, I'm glad to have been a part of it. Though I dare say I've set quite a high bar for all your subsequent parties.
no subject
Yeah, I didn't get out much. [Since he lived in a warzone and all... But that's not good party smalltalk, SO-]
If the next one doesn't live up to it, I don't know what I'm gonna do, y'know?
no subject
so weiss shrugs a bit, one hand settling on her hip in a somewhat authoritative manner. ]
If a party's decorations aren't up to par, sometimes the company you keep can more than make up for it. Just make sure you go with people you like.
no subject
S'that all? If a good party is any place with a bunch of people I like, it sounds just like home.
[Which sounds like some sort of weird Hallmark card sappiness or something, but no, he's being literal. He lives with a lot of people.......]
no subject
Well — I can't say it's that simple... Having good company simply makes a bad party more bearable.
no subject
Yeah? So a bad party full of people you don't like must be the worst. [He wouldn't know, but he can sure imagine it.]
no subject
Yes, exactly! You'll wonder why you even bothered.
[ oops, sounds a little like she's got first-hand experience. ]
no subject
You sound like a party expert. What do you do when that kinda stuff happens? D'you just have to sit through it?
[War council meetings are bad enough okay, he can't sit through a bad party.]
no subject
[ she smiles flatly, lips pursed. ]
If you aren't, you just have to grin and bear it.
no subject
What a total pain. This socializing stuff is a lot harder than the magazines make it seem.
no subject
Magazines? Is that your only experience with it?
no subject
no subject
You came from a small town then, I assume?
no subject
Nope, I don't think it was super small. I just lived in a really old place, and I've been on the front lines since Haruji manifested me. [But he at least knows to anticipate confusion there, so he'll HELPFULLY CREATE MORE by adding:]
I'm a tsukumogami, so I'm still getting used to human things.
no subject
yeah no that still doesn't mean anything to her. ]
I can't say I'm familiar with that word...
no subject
Kashuu's quick to explain, at least. He makes a gesture toward the sword at his hip...]
That's me. Tsukumogami are spirits of things that have been around for a looong time. Usually they just kinda pop out on their own if the circumstances are right, but in my case, someone summoned me. Make sense?
no subject
You're the spirit of that sword.
[ meaning, no, it does not make sense. ]
no subject
no subject
she really shouldn't even be surprised anymore tbh ]
Okay... Sure.
Are you enjoying it? [ sMALL TALK??? ]
no subject
Being away or being here? I mean, both are neat! It's kind of weird not having to fight, though. [He may be a prissy princess but he also belongs on the battlefield, okay...
Also wow how timely, right before Cerealia gets its collective ass handed to it for Christmas by santa and his elves.]
no subject
also thanks for jinxing them, buddy. ]
Well I wouldn't get too comfortable, anyway. I get the feeling peace and quiet are two things this place is not well known for.
no subject
[IF HE ONLY KNEW. ...Well, he will soon enough because he's a dang jinxing fool.]
I can keep my skills polished that way!
no subject
[ she pauses. ]
How exactly do you fight...? Do you — go back into your sword, or—?
