It's only a ride
Who: Zoro
yourotherleft & OPEN
When: IC 1/2-1/6
Where: CERES gymnasium, Residential District
What: Zoro needs to get out of the house and get some exercise. He challenged/talked to a lot of people who might take him up on some sword training, so the best place to take him up on his challenge is...the gym. It's easier to find than the dojo, okay.
Rating/Warning: None likely, will update if needed
[whatever that bullshit with the unkillable phantom was about, Zoro has come to the conclusion that he needs to get away from the apartment for a while. Off his ass, and back into a routine. There isn't room to keep weights or spar in their home, so he'll need to get out and about to train like he's used to. Where does one find the biggest weights and the best training facility? Apparently the gym. Good thing it's close by, in the same district, because it takes him the better part of the morning and asking at least five people to direct him to get him there, and even then he walks past it on accident rather than by the intelligent design of any of those five people or his CEREvice.
He'll be at the gym every day for a week, and before too long regulars might hear the staff whispering about the guy who demands they put the maximum amount of weights on the lifting machines and it's still not heavy enough. He's making a nuisance of himself, but it's all for the sake of staying in shape. No fancy robot world with flashy lights is going to make him soft!
Any and all takers can find him:
A
Lifting all the weights. All of them. Boggling onlookers. Able to still converse while he does so, so if it looks crazy, feel free to mock him for it. He's not very good about not hogging all the weight but at least he'll wipe down the equipment.
B
In the virtual training facility. It's pretty clear that he's been told he has to train here, "fake" or not, possibly because he's destroyed training dummies already. He carries three swords, already a fascinating topic of rumor and gossip, and isn't content with merely battling imaginary foes. They just don't have the same feel. So any and all swordsmen/women are free to challenge him - he'll take it! Or he'll stop and talk swords, if facing him is too daunting an idea.
C
Miscellaneous places. The showers, the juice bar. He's not shy, he'll stop to talk if anyone engages him.]

[Zoro turns with his lips twisted in a scowl, and he's about to toss some snark right back at the girl, but then he recognizes the voice a beat later.]
Wait a minute. I've talked to you before.

the swords help tip her off, though. she smirks a little. ]
Oh? Lucky you.

[it was only a few days ago, but.]

It's Weiss. Weiss Schnee. [ it's been over a month, but somehow she's still saying it as if it's supposed to mean something, here. force of habit. ]
What's got you so eager for a fight? Cabin fever already?
[ notice how she completely forgets to ask him for his name... ]

Rorona Zoro.
[he stands back and rests an elbow on the swords at his hip, sizing her up for himself]
You could say that. Whatever that thing was that broke into our apartment the other day, I couldn't even land a hit on it. I need to keep my training up before anything else like that happens.

but her eyes narrow a little at the mention of that... thing. she'd been outside for the majority of the incident, her still-healing ankle proof enough of what a bad idea that had been. ]
Wise of you. I hardly doubt that will be the last of it.
no subject
Stuff like that happen around here a lot? Or was this just a special occasion?
no subject
I can't say for sure. I haven't been here long enough to notice any patterns.
no subject
[he nods to the sword at her side] You any good with that?
no subject
I'm great at it. [ confidence is not something a schnee typically lacks.
sadly, she is not... really able to use it well at the moment. damn ankle. ]
no subject
Great, huh? I don't mind seeing great sword work in action.
no subject
Perhaps I might indulge you one day.

and then a small smirk twists her lips. ]
You know what opponents wouldn't be fake? [ oh, she's going somewhere with this. ] Dojo students, sensei.
no subject
Students are fragile. I'd snap 'em like twigs. Pretty sure they frown on that.
I don't hold back, I don't intend to ever hold back.
no subject
You don't think some of them can handle it?
no subject
It'd be nice if they could. That would mean there was someone my match, here. It's only been a few days, but so far that ain't happening.
no subject
You should be pleased, then, that I am currently indisposed. You can retain your arrogance for a little while longer.
no subject
[y'know, just curious.]

An incident out in the snow during that blizzard. Nothing major, of course. [ at this point, though, weiss will downplay anything to save face. ]
no subject
[asshole mode is go]
We didn't go out, stayed warm and dry. Mostly.
no subject
A miscalculation during a battle. [ it was embarrassing enough without having to explain it all over again. ]
How lovely for you.
no subject
It wasn't a party indoors, don't get me wrong. Just not cold and snowy.
