Should Oldbag Acquaintence Be Forgot
Who: The Ace Attorney cast, any of their CR, and maybe gate-crashers?! Curious neighbors and other passersby won't be turned away.
When: January 1st
Where: The Wright apartment.
What: It's never too late for a new years party, except when it is.
Rating/Warning: Nothing out there just yet
[A new years party had been in the works for a while now. But the incidents with the Santa attacks plus time suddenly skipping ahead to January 1st had caught everyone off-guard. But Phoenix was convinced to go ahead with the party anyway. It's one way to help keep spirits high after what had happened the night before.
Invitations were dispersed amongst the group of people from their world (except for a certain elderly murderer, sorry Von Karma) and the friends they've made in Cerealia (and everyone is open to invite other people as well). Everything's happening at Phoenix and Trucy's apartment, which has some simple New Years banners set up alongside some surviving Christmas decorations. The Christmas tree is still up too, just in case... but all of the decorations and ornaments featuring Santa and his reindeer have already been destroyed.
Entertainment includes a karaoke machine which plays music normally when people aren't using it, and an assortment of food is set up, with people being free to have brought their own dishes and snacks. There is some alcohol there too, including the customary champagne, but likely the local adults will be trying to keep things down to small champagne samples; Phoenix prefers to respect his original world's drinking age, after all.
And, as they near midnight, the intention is to try to countdown to January 2nd as if it's the new year countdown!]

Well, uh. That explains the talking box, then. So there was a girl hiding in there, huh?
Larry's gaze follows Miriam's eyes through the box as she stands, completely unsure how to react to this.]
Are you spying on us or something? I guess you really know how to crash a party though, I gotta give that to you.
no subject
Anyway, what's it to you? Maybe I was just taking a breather beneath my box-- which was clearly marked "hands off," plain as day! --when someone here happened to get too close, completely spoiling my seclusion!
Anyway, how do I know you're not the party-crasher? I've never seen you before either. Sss, sss, sss.

Larry backs up awkwardly, letting Myriam finish her rant, and stands up by the time she's finished.]
Yo, calm down! I get it, I think. You're a friend and you really like your box. I'm not sure why, but...
[It's not really the point, is it?]
Hey, don't go pinning the party-crasher title on me just 'cause you don't know me!
[HE JUST DID THE SAME THING TO HER--]
I'm Larry. I'm a friend of Phoenix's, and I'm Trucy's uncle of sorts!

How do you know Mr. Phoenix Wright, then? You a prosecutor? Defense attorney? Former client? All of the above? Two out of three?
no subject
I'm pretty much just his best friend- we've known each other for...well, forever, basically! Though I was his first client too.

[Aside from the times where Larry just made things more complicated.]
But what about you? How d'you know Nick and Trucy?
no subject
Me? Sss, sss, sss. Well, if you must know, I'm a law student! I was a senior at Themis Legal Academy when Mr. Wright appeared as a guest speaker. During that time there was a murder at the school, which I partially witnessed, so I got involved with the trial as well. --Though Athena Cykes was the attorney for that case, so I'm closer to her than Mr. Wright.

[He's been all over Phoenix and Edgeworth's cases, in the worst ways. And the most recent murder he witnessed wasn't even full murder.
Witness stories aside though, this helps place Myriam in the bizarre timeline going on with people he knows.]
Gotcha, gotcha. You're Athena's friend, then. [Attorneys are totally buds with witnesses right.] I guess that means you're from the future too.
[He's not even gonna add anything there for maximum ???.]
no subject
Kaaaaaahk! The future?? What? You're not... a time-traveler, are you?
[She could see the headlines now: "Acclaimed Attorney Phoenix Wright best pals with secret time-traveler! Debate begins on whether using time-travel to predict court verdicts is 'ethical'."]
no subject
[Oh, oh wow. He's now realizing that Myriam here must be new.]
No one's told you about the weird time differences going on? It's- it's this place that did it. The code stuff. It's 2019 for me back home, but Nick, Trucy, Athena...and you I guess, are all from after that.

[Creepy!]

[He never really thought about it like that.]
Iiii don't know how well it'd go for a grown dude like me to randomly talk to a little girl though.
