Opening Night [OPEN]
Who: Nonon Jakuzure and anyone who's interested in classical music, saw her post, or was invited by her. Feel free to tag around too and meet other people in their beautiful formal wear~!
When: Some Friday after her post.
Where: Opera House
What: Nonon has been working with the opera house's orchestra, and being the controlling girl she is, decided to stage a few concerts. Formal dress is expected. Nui Harime interrupts and kisses Nonon.
Rating/Warning: None likely.
It's opening night, and there's a nice big display board in front of the opera house announcing the first performance of Nonon Jakuzure conducting the house orchestra. Even with a little stylized depiction of Nonon with her signature pink hair and smug grin.
Formal dress is expected, though some people might be able to sneak inside in casual wear, just don't let Nonon catch you. She's going to be in the front of the house though, inside past the ticket booths where people can pick up tickets set aside for them ahead of time, if Nonon had done so. Of course, it's about as analogue as you can imagine, Nonon wasn't about to use the Cerevices to do ticketing, that just isn't classical, it would ruin the entire mood. No, she wants lines and printed tickets.
After greeting any friends or acquaintances the lights in the hall lower once, then twice, signalling the start. She disappears into the back, only to reappear on stage under a bright spotlight with the loud, almost deafening sound of a whistle.
"Entrance March! Under the Double Eagle!" She waves a large pink baton this way then back again. "Now, prepare for a jaunty, thrilling, and mind-blowing performance!"
She's dressed in a flashy conductor's outfit, and proceeds to lead the orchestra into their first song. The rest of more standard affairs of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, music people might have heard if they are from Earth, or somewhere vaguely Earth-like. In general it's not actually that long of a concert, no more than an hour and a half or so, with a short intermission. She wants to hit people with the loudest, most impressive sort of music she can, leaving them wanting more.
Sometime towards the end of the performance, the lights go out completely, only to return with a spotlight on one adorable blonde girl giggling. She invades the stage as if she belongs there, striding right up to Nonon to give her a kiss on the conductor's angry, shocked face, before floating away impossibly. Holding in her anger, Nonon wipes her lips with the back of her hand, blushing furiously, and proceeds with the last song after yelling at Nui Harime, something about getting even with her.
By the end she'll be hanging around the stage, meeting anyone who wishes to speak to her, and then going backstage to change if certain close relations wish to meet her there. She expects flowers to be thrown though of course, maybe even a standing ovation~.
[ ooc: Feel free to run into her whenever! And the date is kinda nebulous, just assume after the latest event. If you have any questions PM me or hit me up on plurk at

She doesn't care much for the small crowd, feeling at home taken center of attention, even if Hiro is the one playing. ]
That's right, I'm the conductor brought here to liven up this place with my own spectacular charm. [ She waves her baton around lively. ] I was playing the standards of the classical period, with a few of my personal favorites, but I'm glad to hear it. You seem to know what you're talking about though.

Weeeell... ♪ Not to toot my own trumpet... [H E H] But I've been playing the piano since I was little. So old habits like that tend to die hard. And I've been listening to the classical composers way back when too. Sure, it's relaxing music to hear on a MP3 player, but there's something even more special whenever you come to an actual show.
[It was pretty refreshing to speak to someone who had the same love for music like himself. His best friend listened to music too, but didn't understand it to the same extent as he did.]
no subject
Of course, an MP3 player can't make up for the grand sound of a proper concert hall, the way the percussion echoes and reaches your very core.
[ Obviously, she likes the instruments that are the loudest and most obnoxious. ]
Do you always come to a concert in your school uniform?
no subject
Didn't you know? Only the biggest MVPs can walk into a concert with school uniforms on and still manage to blend into the crowd. ☆
[He liked to do think that Joe's stealth lessons did not fail him, but in actuality... No one bothered to notice until now.]
no subject
Really? It sounds more like a thief who snuck in the back for a free show.
[ She stares him down a little... before pushing him over and sitting next to him on the piano bench. ]
Show me what else you can play, or did you only learn one piece?
no subject
Name something and I'll play it down as best I can! They call me "Godhand Kageyama" for a reason.
[Was it a true nickname or did he make it up for the sake of acting cool? Only he knew.]
no subject
...There's no way anyone actually calls you that.
[ Like hell will she ever. But she thinks. ] Chopin's Sonata Number 2. Do you know it?
[ It's a famous, difficult piece, one that she is challenging him by naming. ] Do you need a book?
no subject
[There's a pause as Hiro shuts his eyes to get a visual of the notes in his mind. He remembered helping out Airi play some bits of Chopin in the two worlds too. If Nonon was challenging him, then there was no way that he could back down. That confident air around him does not falter any.]
I've already got the "book", so no worries there. But which movement do you want? Grave? Scherzo?
no subject
[ It's still a silly nickname. ]
You've already got it? On your device? [ What a confusing thing to say! But his question brings a delightful smile to Nonon's lips. ]
The finale~. [ Likely to be seen as the most difficult, given its tempo and little rests. ]
no subject
[He says that so cheerfully that it was almost unbelievable. The notes were one thing, but there was something that he found was more important.]
The most important part is putting my heart in sync with the piano's. Something like this won't be an easy feat, but I've got the resolve to carry it through!
[Hiro's logic wasn't the easiest logic to follow by normal means. And besides, he had already considered the piano his friend! So with that, Hiro takes a minute to finger out the keys in mid air before he finally starts playing.]
no subject
You talk big.
[ And then...he plays big too. Nonon is more than a little surprised. He actually... can do it. Is he a piano prodigy? He has to be, she imagines, playing with little warm up, someone her own age in his high school uniform. It's almost too much to believe. She's just going to let him play as long as he wants, even if her finger is raised, conducting along. ]
no subject
Soooo... Whaddya think? I'm judging from your silence that you wanna take my autograph, huh?
no subject
I'd rather eat my own hat. ...But you're good. How long have you been training on the piano? Were you already in a professional orchestra?
no subject
[If that was a joke, then he'd naturally follow up for a punchline. Truly, Hiro could've been more humble and respectful than this... But she made some cute expressions and teasing people was a lot easier for him. Next time, he'd dress more properly for her show if she decided to throw one.]
I've been doing it since the 1st grade, honestly. I've helped out with music clubs and stuff, but never really thought about goin' professional.
[Back in the day, Hiro didn't want to be chained down by words like "responsibility". He preferred being free and living in the springtime of his youth. Of course, that mindset changed after the ordeals with the Administrators happened. Now that he was technically God of his world, he's learned to be a little more responsible with his own life.]
no subject
Well, it kills me to say it, but you are definitely good enough. I've heard professional players with decades more practice than you who can't keep up.
What do you plan to do after school?
no subject
[At least before everything that happened in the two worlds. And honestly, Hiro thought jobs were for suckers who wanted to fall into a repetitive system. At least, those were his thoughts at first. Frankly, he didn't have a plan beyond living freely with his best friend.]
But destiny had a different plan for me. I became a part of something bigger than myself.
no subject
[ Nonon hops up on the piano (she would never let anyone else do that, but she sees herself as better than everyone else) and crosses her legs, looking over at the boy at the keys. ]
no subject
I became a guardian to protect the world from supernatural threats. Stuff like aliens for example are pretty high on that list.
no subject
..You had to fight aliens too? I wonder if that's why the people here are here. Everyone's seemed to have dealt with aliens at some point, myself included.
no subject
[The Administrators and their Swords were as numerous as the stars in the sky. And Hiro had managed to defeat two of them along with the Divine Order of the Universe itself. Still just because that he had taken the Heavenly Throne didn't mean that his position could be usurped or the Earth wouldn't be threatened.]
So what kind of aliens did you have to fight? Some that I met were nice, but others... Not so much.
no subject
[ Nonon wished they picked someone else, her best friend, than even herself, but there's little to gain by complaining about it... ]
LIfe Fibers. Alien fibers that came to Earth. They want to suck all the life out of the planet, and then move on to another one. The last thing I remember before getting here is going to destroy the original Life Fiber once and for all...
no subject
They sound like a group of parasites. I've never heard of beings like that before... [It just showed how much more he needed to learn as an Administrator. And considering that the conversation was moving into a serious direction, Hiro decides to lighten it up in his own way... He's not sure why she's been through, but he didn't want to bring up unpleasant memories.]
Thooough real talk. Why call 'em "Life Fibers"? Why not "Space Fibers" or "I'm Gonna Suck Everything Up Fibers"? It's the esthetics that always count when it comes to naming a Big Bad.
no subject
That's basically what they are. But I don't know how they differ from the Flamines or whatever supposedly destroyed our universe... CERES isn't very forthcoming with details.
[ Nonon is also turning against them simply because Ryuko already is, and she figures that girl knows more than she does at the moment. ]
...Do you think I named them? What the hell do I care what they are called?!
no subject
I dunnoooo. ♪ One of us has to ask the big questions to move the plot along. That's how it always works in video games.
[In any case, Hiro will put a hand into his pocket and hold out a bunny keychain.] Here you go. I don't have flowers to offer for the great show, so you can use this to hook onto your cellphone or something.
no subject
...You really are an idiot, I've just figured that out. That's how you are so good on the piano.
[ Removing his intellect and putting all his skill points into dexterity. Or something like that, if she actually knew video games.
But he got her a present. How nice. And fuck, it's cute. She nearly swipes it, holding it close excitedly, before staring a little. ] Th-Thanks. You're just lucky I love cute things.
