Opening Night [OPEN]
Who: Nonon Jakuzure and anyone who's interested in classical music, saw her post, or was invited by her. Feel free to tag around too and meet other people in their beautiful formal wear~!
When: Some Friday after her post.
Where: Opera House
What: Nonon has been working with the opera house's orchestra, and being the controlling girl she is, decided to stage a few concerts. Formal dress is expected. Nui Harime interrupts and kisses Nonon.
Rating/Warning: None likely.
It's opening night, and there's a nice big display board in front of the opera house announcing the first performance of Nonon Jakuzure conducting the house orchestra. Even with a little stylized depiction of Nonon with her signature pink hair and smug grin.
Formal dress is expected, though some people might be able to sneak inside in casual wear, just don't let Nonon catch you. She's going to be in the front of the house though, inside past the ticket booths where people can pick up tickets set aside for them ahead of time, if Nonon had done so. Of course, it's about as analogue as you can imagine, Nonon wasn't about to use the Cerevices to do ticketing, that just isn't classical, it would ruin the entire mood. No, she wants lines and printed tickets.
After greeting any friends or acquaintances the lights in the hall lower once, then twice, signalling the start. She disappears into the back, only to reappear on stage under a bright spotlight with the loud, almost deafening sound of a whistle.
"Entrance March! Under the Double Eagle!" She waves a large pink baton this way then back again. "Now, prepare for a jaunty, thrilling, and mind-blowing performance!"
She's dressed in a flashy conductor's outfit, and proceeds to lead the orchestra into their first song. The rest of more standard affairs of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, music people might have heard if they are from Earth, or somewhere vaguely Earth-like. In general it's not actually that long of a concert, no more than an hour and a half or so, with a short intermission. She wants to hit people with the loudest, most impressive sort of music she can, leaving them wanting more.
Sometime towards the end of the performance, the lights go out completely, only to return with a spotlight on one adorable blonde girl giggling. She invades the stage as if she belongs there, striding right up to Nonon to give her a kiss on the conductor's angry, shocked face, before floating away impossibly. Holding in her anger, Nonon wipes her lips with the back of her hand, blushing furiously, and proceeds with the last song after yelling at Nui Harime, something about getting even with her.
By the end she'll be hanging around the stage, meeting anyone who wishes to speak to her, and then going backstage to change if certain close relations wish to meet her there. She expects flowers to be thrown though of course, maybe even a standing ovation~.
[ ooc: Feel free to run into her whenever! And the date is kinda nebulous, just assume after the latest event. If you have any questions PM me or hit me up on plurk at

Next time I'll make sure to get you seats closer then. [ She's kidding. Probably. ]
Ara ara, did you have a date instead tonight that you missed? [ Teasing. ]
no subject
[He says this, yet there's a certain amount of disinterest in his voice that suggests that a date only marginally qualifies as "something better". The number of fucks he gives about dating: zero.]
And hey, what's this about "next time", huh?
no subject
[ She loves loves loves to talk herself up so much. But anyone who doesn't care about dating is just wrong. ]
I already plan on a second concert series, as well as an opera in the next couple months. Have you ever been to an opera before? They take a while to plan and practice.
no subject
[Somewhere in the colony, Peko's heart is inexplicably breaking.]
No, I haven't. But I figured you'd have another one, since this is your job, right? I was more confused as to what would make you there'd be a next time for me.
no subject
[ Nonon would never accept that in her life, she'd kill someone if they dared to make her marry someone she didn't approve of. ]
Do you think you can resist the call of music?
no subject
[Because thank god omiai isn't quite as strict as arranged marriages in other cultures and time periods. And thank god his parents aren't the overbearing type who wouldn't give him any say at all in his partner.]
[Not that any of this matters though. Marriage is even lower on his priority list now than it was before, thanks to the whole Super High School Level Despair thing.]
I can survive without music, believe it or not. So yeah, I guess I think I can.
no subject
[ Nonon just sort of glares at him. ] Do you really think so little of romance? That's offensive to me as a girl to hear.
no subject
[He shrugs.]
I have more important things to worry about than romance. Besides, it's not like... [He stops abruptly, seeming to think better of however that sentence was supposed to end.] What's it matter to you, anyway? Why do you give a shit what I do or don't think of romance?
no subject
[ She has some serious opinions on this, alright?! Only when he asks why... she just turns away. ]
I don't care what you think about it, I just don't want to hear how little you think of it in my presence!
no subject
[This is such a dumb argument. And kind of awkward, the longer it goes on. So he's not even going to even bring up a counter point, because this has already gone on longer than it rightly should have, in his opinion. And it's obvious that both of them are too stubborn to yield here.]
Tch, then don't bring it up again and you won't have to. Easy fix.
no subject
Hmph. Fine! [ this is such a stupid argument. And Nonon realizes that, tilting her hat up a little to look at the boy who's obviously looking away from her. ]
I guess I should say thank you for coming, it's only customary.
no subject
[He'd turned his gaze back to her to answer that, but mere seconds later he's looking away again, fiddling with his tie as he adds in a mumbled undertone:]
...but thanks for inviting me anyway, I guess.
no subject
I'm glad you already know the extent of my abilities. [ Like the fact that yes she would have definitely bothered him. ]
You can't say you hate having the occasion to dress up though, can you?
no subject
[All suits all the time. Though at least he has the decency to leave the skull ties at home and tuck his shirt in for "dress up" events.]
no subject
[ She likely has met both and taken out some in her time conquering Japan after all. She fought Nudist Beach, she fought the Osaka defences, she knows what they are anyway. ]
no subject
[That's the only thing he can think of that would explain why she doesn't think he dresses like a yakuza. Because other than that, he dresses pretty typically for someone of his rank. The higher you are, the less gaudy your suit tends to be.]
no subject
What about the tattoos? You must have some right?
no subject
Th-That's none of your business!
[Why is he blushing about something like that what the hell.]
no subject
They they tatoo a baby tiger on you or something? Actually, that would probably be cute, let me see it!
no subject
[Why does this keep happening to him.]
no subject
[ Nonon is just kidding now, laughing at how much it seems to get under the boy's skin. But she shrugs, smiling at him, turning to head away. ]
Well, it's good you came, I wouldn't have wanted you to stay home alone with nothing to do on a Friday night. ...Thanks.
[ She adds that last part in when her back is turned, he doesn't need to see that she's actually being nice. ]
no subject
Yeah, yeah. [That is to say: you're welcome.] Like I said, don't get too used to it. Now get lost, already. Go deal with your adoring fans or whatever. Later.
[And with that, he'll just kind of wander away. Though this is hardly the last time Nonon will have to deal with him tonight. Because whenever she goes back to her dressing room, she'll find that he didn't forget/ignore the fact that she told them to bring flowers. He just had them delivered to the opera house itself, as opposed to bringing them himself.]
[It's a single narcissus flower, because even if he's doing something nice he has to be a little shit about it. There's a tag from the shop that says who its from but there's no message other than that. Because surely both the flower and the roundabout way of giving it speak for themselves. He's too tsun for life and she's too full of herself for her own good.]
no subject
...And when she later finds that flower she's kinda floored. It's pretty. Either he really does have good taste, or a smart woman behind him who helped. Well, she's glad it's not a rose, she's had enough boys from her school who would send roses to her after a performance, that was always awkward, you know how many love letters she has had to throw out?
But with this, she will definitely have to find a way to return the favor, she realizes. ]
