Who: Sousei and Kratos aka the Deadpan Dad Duo and then Sousei and Souji aka Stop Making People Bleed On the Floor and a bonus Sousei and Tenka Make Bad Life Choices
When: IC: 1/13 | OOC: 6/1
Where: The Dojo
What: this is how bonding works
Rating/Warning: Just dummies being dumb here
kratos;
[Sousei spends the majority of his time at the dojo (even more so now that there's so much noise and activity in his apartment) so it's really no surprise that he's generally there when other people come in to check it out.
Case in point: Kratos.
Even wrapped up in his basic sword exercises, Sousei couldn't miss that red hair, and so when he finally finishes his repetitions, he lowers his sword and tilts his head towards the visitor. He's not even quite out of breath yet, but then--he practices a lot.]
... I don't believe we ever exchanged names, though the circumstances probably explain enough about that.
souji;
[On the other hand, someone Sousei is always down to spar with these days is Okita Souji. The Shinsengumi captains are all wickedly skilled, and he has to fight hard to hold his own--which means that by the time they're finished beating on each other with those wooden practice swords, the both of them are black and blue.
Good job, guys.
Either way, Sousei seems satisfied, even as he pauses and frowns at his bokutou--there's some blood on it, and so he reaches for a cloth to clean it. They may go a little harder than is intended when it comes to this sort of thing.
And, quite frank and deadpan--]
Did we get blood on the floor? [wow he has so much concern for Souji's well-being]
tenka;
[It's...admittedly been really nice to be able to spar with Tenka again. It's been a really long time, but even so, they fell right back into the pattern easily. So they've gotten back into the swing of sparring, and of pushing each other to be better and better and better and--
Well, maybe that's why their spars are getting more and more intense.
Sousei doesn't want to lose to Tenka, after all, and he knows Tenka is the same way; they've always been like that, even as children, and now it's even worse if anything.
So this spar in particular has been incredibly intense, and Sousei knows immediately when he's overstepped--he doesn't have the time to correct it, and he knows Tenka's going to score a hit no matter what he does.]

He's even going back to grab the wheelchair from the hospital and then running back to catch up with Sousei, pushing it alongside him.]
Sousei, just take a seat.
no subject
[SHORTLY.
IMMEDIATELY.
he is not sitting in that wheelchair, he just keeps on walking forward.]
It isn't so bad that I need to use one of those.
no subject
I'm going to put you in the wheelchair.
[ARE YOU READY.
HE'S NOT PUTTING IT BACK.]
no subject
[are you really willing to risk him hurting himself more because HE REALLY WILL.
FIGHT YOU.
HE'S NOT SITTING IN THAT DAMN CHAIR.]
Put it back.

It's not often that Tenka gets angry -- truly, sincerely angry. It's only when he thinks the people he cares about are in some sort of danger.
At this point, he's pretty sure that Sousei's stubbornness is aggravating his injury further and that's not okay.]
The hell is your problem?!
What about broken ribs is so hard for you to get....?!
no subject
I know that they are nonfatal. I know that now that they are properly back in their places, they will heal.
[It's not a big deal.]
I don't need help with this. When we have made it home, I will rest and recover. [At least grant him the courtesy to walk home under his own power.]
no subject
You know, it's not the end of the world to admit that you need help.
[Wasn't that the exact same thing Sousei had told him before?]
It's harder for you to walk home like this. What's the point in fighting against me when I'm trying to make it easier? Are you dumb?
no subject
It's not necessary.
[Nobody has to know--and everyone will know if Tenka is wheeling him around in a wheel chair.
...After a moment, he caves only slightly, with--]
If you insist, I will lean on you. [after all, that's what he asked of Tenka before.] But I will not sit in that chair.
no subject
And why is Sousei so ready to trust Tenka with his well-being again after he was the one to injure him in the first place? (How lucky can Tenka get?)
.... But he's realizing that Sousei probably won't relent any further. So he sighs as he makes a motion for Sousei to wait for him before wheeling the wheelchair over to the sidewalk and flagging down the closest android. Guess who's making a deal with a stranger to return the wheelchair back to its proper place?
Then he's walking back to Sousei and taking his arm to put over his shoulder.]
I didn't know you had something against chairs.
no subject
[He doesn't want it to be obvious that he's injured. He doesn't want people to know and be concerned. He's supposed to be the one protecting people, not making them worry about him.
Tenka knows.
That's enough.
So he makes sure to keep his face blank as Tenka puts his arm over his shoulder (it does hurt, his ribs do protest, but it's not that bad), and focuses his gaze on the direction they're walking.]
Now let's go. We've already wasted too much time.
