There's a pained hiss of air that comes from Ryuuga, but he's at least now finally able to get back on his feet and swing his sword arm up to draw the summoning circle, letting the armor settle on his body before he readjusts himself, pointing his sword at Yusuke and grimacing under his helmet at the pain in his shoulder.]

[he's not going to leave anyone out to dry, but all the same... he doesn't plan on letting that monster get any closer, either. which is why stahn is moving towards it, slashing with his sword rapidly. he follows it up with an upward slash and one that uses flames to knock it back into the ground. and while it's stunned, he calls upon a small vortex of flames that envelopes the monster like a cyclone.

...naturally, because it's all flashy and he's got that dumb protagonist thing going on, he's calling out his attacks like some kind of summoning ritual: Dragon Swarm, Hell Sword, Flare Tornado.

okay, so maybe he's a little intense and hot-blooded when he fights. but it's probably better than either of them getting mauled, right? even if it does sound a bit ridiculous.]

[ Maya's definitely scrappy and Genos does his best to make sure that she doesn't hurt herself while trying to kick off their assailants. He's equipped with many things but he's definitely no healbot. ]

However, if I were to use them in this space here I would risk the lives of those who are not after our lives. It is an unnecessary risk.

[Nothing seems off, and nothing seems to be waiting to ambush them. So after taking a few sips, Yamato gets to his feet and nods.]

[Yamato decides not to argue and does so, reluctantly crouching down to drink more. After a brief look around the area, Garurumon joins them. Once he's had enough, Yamato glances at his brother.]

We can set up camp here, but we'd better not make a fire or anything that'll attract anyone. Are you hungry?

But you can't blame me! I mean, Gravity Falls has a bunch of weird monsters and all but it's not everyday you get to deal with all of this!

[She said before spreading her arms open to make her point! Seriously, even this was a little too weird for her! And this was the same girl who had to fight a dating sim before too!

Well, maybe they aren't as bad as they look! Hopefully they'll be able to heal pretty quickly right?

[ zero manages to dodge mostly, too, which helps. they're not so sure that killing everyone in the room isn't a bad idea, but if there's another way, it's the exit to the ballroom. ]

There. [ zero raises a hand and points at the door, several dozen feet away and blocked up by NPCs. ]

[ amazing, shinpachi. impressive. this time she does look at him just as he's looking at her, her chin cradled in her palm and her fingers idly tapping against her cheek.

[ it is kind of cool fighting with zero, though — even if senpai doesn't even remember who he is, much less notice him. his heart sinks in his stomach as he looks from the door to the NPCs to zero. (he wonders if they're really that cool and collected under the mask. ...do they even have a face under the mask?) time to... access his inner rage? he swings away and kicks and generally has no strategy whatsoever besides hitting things, but at least he's hitting them sort of hard now. ]

Will you just die already?! [ said while beating an NPC somewhat maniacally... oh, actually, it's definitely unconscious already, he's almost literally beating a dead horse. one down, eleven to go?? ]

[ at least he's making progress. zero follows, goes ahead, back and forth, cleaning house with savagely direct hits and weaving in and out of conflict. fierce as the NPCs are, they're not all trained or of high level.

when rhys is stuck on one, though, zero gets impatient. they reach out and grab for rhys' shoulder to pull him along. ]

Well, yeah. [ He agrees with a tired look on his face. ] It's not everyday we get to be in a Battle Royale.

[ Or Hunger Games. Look, he never watched the American movie. He's more familiar with BR. Still, the way this guy's behaving ... ]

[Yusuke keeps a careful eye on Keiichi as he continues to fend off the NPCs, making sure he's not too distracted by fighting to see what the other boy was up too. So he wasn't doing the direct route-- that was smart. A lot smarter than what Yusuke would have done, anyway. A flying shuriken drags his attention from Keiichi for just a moment, and Yusuke delivers a swift kick to it's owner to knock them down for the time being. Once he turns his head again, Keiichi seems-- gone??

It throws him for a second, worried that the guy got ambushed or dragged away while he wasn't looking, but he breathes a temporary sigh of relief when he sees him stagger out again. Where did his weapon go? Did he get attacked and someone stole it? That wound on his leg did look nasty...

The other opponents out for the count at the moment, Yusuke edges his way over to the door, still watching Keiichi to see if he was still going through with the plan, now that he was injured. It seemed like it, he was approaching the other NPCs-- ah, but now they were chasing him. That wasn't good. Taking a running start, he charges his fist up with spirit energy and wallops the guy with the battleax in the ribs. He yanks the ax away from the now wheezing and doubled over NPC, only to use it to pry the crowbar away from the other one. Taking said crowbar, he chucks it in the direction of one of the pursuing NPCs, hoping to knock them out before they hit Keiichi.]

Hey, I wasn't done, I was in the zone-- [ no, not really. rhys gives up on his poor, unsuspecting victim (in his defense, they very forcefully shoved him, it's karma) and moves on, though, figuring it's probably better outside than it is inside.

so, he goes directly for the door, basically fucking off and leaving zero to deal with any remaining NPCs. he's waiting for him outside the door, though, that's... something. it is mostly because he figures he's less likely to get impaled with zero around, but still. ]

[ zone, what zone. zero urges rhys out, following close behind. they're ready to get out of here too.
