[ getting attacked again. his strategy consists of wildly batting at his opponent with the club, but blunt force trauma is blunt force trauma, even if it isn't elegantly delivered. ]

Bite me! Don't actually bite me. [ rhys narrowly avoids actually hitting zero. whoops. ] Sooo, just checking in with you, I'm starting to think killing literally everyone in this room isn't the easiest plan. Any thoughts on that?

[ zero manages to dodge mostly, too, which helps. they're not so sure that killing everyone in the room isn't a bad idea, but if there's another way, it's the exit to the ballroom. ]

There. [ zero raises a hand and points at the door, several dozen feet away and blocked up by NPCs. ]

[ ...goddammit. ] Awesome. I love today. I'm having a really good time.

[ it is kind of cool fighting with zero, though — even if senpai doesn't even remember who he is, much less notice him. his heart sinks in his stomach as he looks from the door to the NPCs to zero. (he wonders if they're really that cool and collected under the mask. ...do they even have a face under the mask?) time to... access his inner rage? he swings away and kicks and generally has no strategy whatsoever besides hitting things, but at least he's hitting them sort of hard now. ]

Will you just die already?! [ said while beating an NPC somewhat maniacally... oh, actually, it's definitely unconscious already, he's almost literally beating a dead horse. one down, eleven to go?? ]

[ at least he's making progress. zero follows, goes ahead, back and forth, cleaning house with savagely direct hits and weaving in and out of conflict. fierce as the NPCs are, they're not all trained or of high level.

when rhys is stuck on one, though, zero gets impatient. they reach out and grab for rhys' shoulder to pull him along. ]

Hey, I wasn't done, I was in the zone-- [ no, not really. rhys gives up on his poor, unsuspecting victim (in his defense, they very forcefully shoved him, it's karma) and moves on, though, figuring it's probably better outside than it is inside.

so, he goes directly for the door, basically fucking off and leaving zero to deal with any remaining NPCs. he's waiting for him outside the door, though, that's... something. it is mostly because he figures he's less likely to get impaled with zero around, but still. ]

[ zone, what zone. zero urges rhys out, following close behind. they're ready to get out of here too.

—though, not prepared to bust out and into a jungle. zero pauses for a second before continuing on. ]

[ the lack of communication is really starting to take a toll on rhys. it's the buddy system, they're buddies, they communicate!! ]

So, do you know where you're going, or...

[ or are they just blindly running into a jungle because that... doesn't bode well. for one of them, at least. ]
