Except it's about now that someone clearly turns their attention on the two trying to fly under the radar. Quatre catches the sight of movement coming towards them and nudges at Ky.]

We're spotted. [Quick quick!]

Ex-act-ly! And we didn't even have that sanctuary until like, a half-year ago, and the technology stuff inside is even newer. Progress here is pretty slow since we're at such a huge disadvantage.

[A little huff of a sigh follows, but Kashuu doesn't seem too put out, honestly. He's used to the odds being stacked against him...]

Eh, well. The best thing you can do now is just focus on getting adjusted and move on from there. Solid foundations and all, y'know?

[Oona's eyes narrow and her mouth pulls back in a sneer] There is nothing humans could offer us that we would need. Humans do not need to know we exist, they only ruin what they contact.

[SOMEONE'S BITTER don't mind her. She huffs lightly, because his assertion that she's cool and unique and all does wonders to soothe ruffled egos.] There is no one else like me. [Arrogant, maybe, but she grins broadly] And I do not lie, so it must be true!

[She's sort of teasing around, but she also knows there's no other mermaids just like her here--sure there was Keimi or whatever, but even she was totally different from Oona.]

[ her unsteadiness on her feet doesn't go unnoticed. he stops for a moment to give her a once-over. ]

Are you okay? You did hit me pretty hard.

[Kaoru's an easy person to follow, at least, not making a fuss about it either way - just keeping forward focused, in case something else pops up that needs to be dealt with.]

I suspect that may help you here, unfortunate as it is. If you're used to hardships, it takes some of the element of surprise away from what they can do.

[That gets a full laugh out of him. For some reason, her sneer is just really funny, and the way she huffs about humans being awful just makes it worse.]

Harsh~! You know you're surrounded by humans here, from what I've seen, right?

[He doesn't say that as a threat. He's just trying to see exactly how deep that hate goes and how she uses it.]

Only problem with bein' unique is that there aren't enough people who get you. But I like those sorts of people, so as long as you leave my people alone, you can hate whoever you want. Fair?

[ Don't worry, Keiichi, Shinpachi understands the need for super loud excitement a lot.. Usually he's that person, after all. But he has a little more common sense when it comes to dangerous situations and acting appropriately in them..

.. but he can this one slide. Probably. So far there hasn't been anything around in this jungle that he couldn't take on one way or another, so he's not too afraid even if Keiichi's loudness manages to attract something or someone. He'll kick their ass - they can afford to have a little excitement.

(It's the best cure in these sort of shitty situations anyway, he figures.) ]

[Despite part of him still being mad at Taichi, Yamato can't help but crack a smile at the joke, clasping his hand in return.]

[He's sure Taichi would do exactly the same thing, if not worse, if it was Hikari up ahead. But Yamato leaves it at that, nodding. Garurumon pads over at Taichi's suggestion, and he climbs onto the wolf Digimon's back.]

He can't be far. And maybe we'll see Hikari with them, too.

[He won't be taken off-guard again, at least; now that this is a proper fight, he's in it to win it. He's lacking in a lot of life skills, but fighting is not one of them; immediately he jumps back to avoid the kick, lifting his sword again. He's really not messing around anymore--he's pissed both by Kouha's expression and by his words. The thought that someone this disgusting could try to lay hands on Chaltier...

[ His eyes go wide for a second, and then he realizes just why he's being gently chided and turns red. Yeah, he gets pretty amped up sometimes. A lot of the time, actually. And while it's not always a negative, today, it is.

Despite his embarrassment, he manages a smile, scratching the back of his neck self-consciously. ]

H-haha... you're right. Sometimes, the spirit takes over and I get a little carried away. But I'm inspired now, so it's hard to control!

[ He even feels like he could learn a thing or two about defending himself from this guy. Not that he wants to have to defend himself, as exciting as it might be, but if he's going to get thrown into crazy scenarios like this one, it might be a good idea to know how just in case. ]

Oh right, I guess I forgot about that! We better hurry before those monsters start coming back!

[With that, she just started looking around before looking back up at Quatre]

But I really don't think we have too worried! Because it seriously looks like those monsters are too scared! No one shall ever dare cross the amazing Quatre and his gundam Sandrock!

[That crowd's a little too rowdy for Rise's tastes thank you very much, so she's moving to set a hand both on Yamato and Gabumon.]

The trio should feel something like a teleportation warp pulling them through space before magically setting them just outside of the building. The rampage continues inside loud enough for them to hear but they've put more distance between them.]

You okay? No missing limbs or anything? [She's trying to joke about it but she's absolutely worried still about pulling non-Persona users through things like that.]
