[Ky draws his sword, sending electricity crackling down it as he moves to half-block Quatre, the movement making it clear they're together.]

[Ky moves that way, keeping an eye out for anyone who needs rescuing or who looks like they're going to rush the two of them.]

[ If it helps, Shinpachi is at least not lecturing him more.. he's just heartily laughing as Keiichi smiles and gets a little less loud. Almost like he finds it kind of endearing - and he does! It reminds him of when he was younger.

(He's still like that, but.. you know, he can delude himself into thinking he actually grew up and became a real adult, ssh.) ]

[ And he does seem to genuinely mean it. Despite the fact that he's a sitting muscle mountain with a sword trying to cook some meat from animals he slaughtered, there's something a little more gentle (or at least more kind and open) about him as he speaks. ]

Not sure if right now's the time for you to get too inspired though. I'd say training outside this place would be a little more helpful before you run headfirst into actual danger. [ You know, before Keiichi gets eaten by one of the monsters here. It might be ViViD, and Shinpachi knows it's not entirely real, but.. still, he doesn't want to know what happens to anyone who'd die in here all the same. ]

[When they're safely away, Yamato stops to catch his breath, hands on his knees. Gabumon is likewise tired, but watching Zero put the gun away cautiously.]

That was close. [Yamato straightens. Quiet type, huh? He's a little intimidated, but he'll try not to show it.] Are... you okay?

[Yamato doesn't even have a chance to ask what she's about to do when they're transported away. It's not quite as disorienting as being yanked into the Digital World, but he still freaks out a little when they reappear outside the building.]

Wha--?! You could've warned us! [He pats himself down immediately to check for any missing body parts.] I'm all here... How about you, Gabumon?

[Gabumon nods, though he looks equally as thrown off by it as Yamato.]

The Digital World. If you got hurt there, it was just like getting hurt in the real world... That's why I can't fight these people!

[Either way they're going to have to do something, though, because those NPCs aren't about to stop fighting...]

[Realising how upset Gabumon is getting, Yamato quickly backpedals on that thought, accepting Vietnam's suggestion with a nod.]

Okay, we'll log out instead. Is there or a portal or something we can use?

[That's how the Digital World worked, maybe leaving ViViD is similar?]

[Yamato glances over his shoulder, raising an eyebrow at her burying her face in the Digimon's fur. Luckily Garurumon doesn't seem to mind, though, bursting out of the courtyard, through what looks like an entrance hall, where he slows down.]

There's no one here... Think we left them all behind in the ballroom?

[Yamato looks around as Garurumon slows, listening intently. It seems safe to keep going, but he wants to be sure, lest they charge straight into danger.]

[ This is a path of a beautiful yet also slightly worrisome friendship. Either way, when Maya asks him another question he'll put away his various ""accessories"" to answer her with "normal" hands. ]

If you're asking whether or not I can yell then...yes. I can yell quite loudly if needed.

[ with a sigh, he leans his weight on the spear, and turns his head to grin. ]

[ and then he seems to remember his manners: he straightens up to bow his head a little. ] Thanks for the help.

[ She nods, but her voice grows softer, quieter. ]

There's nothing they can do to me that's worse than what I've seen before this. So...there's that.

[he'll get a pretty confident thumbs up from stahn now.] I'm just glad to see you're okay. Those guys were pretty tough!

Dunno where else somebody could pull that one off, so they're pretty lucky for that much.

[He laughs a little, just a shade more bitter than before.]

What, you don't think they wanted to have someone around who doesn't kick people all the time?

Maybe it was my good looks? Or they're just not as heartless as you, don't want to see a helpless teenager get himself shredded.

[For a moment, Kouha's cocky grin remains, despite being evaded. When the next casting comes, though, he's in for a surprise. This one's so much bigger, even Kouha moving at his quickest can't avoid it entirely. He slips out of the target area before he gets too badly hurt, but he gets a few major bruises and scrapes for his trouble, and he's bleeding down his right leg.

Time to go. Now. Kouha's no coward, but in such a disadvantageous fight, there's no point if you can't get some kind of upper hand.]

Aw, too bad. If you're not gonna go at it man-to-man, this is a cheap fight. Your sword's cool, but I'll just have to check it out when things are more even. I'm out of here~!

[With another grin tossed over his shoulder, he takes off running... Right into the crowd of people still squabbling for weapons. If Leon chases after him this time, he'll have to risk everyone else to use that arte, and that gives Kouha an advantage.]

[ thankfully for her, that just makes him grin, drawing up, hands on his hips. ]

Don't you worry about that, I've got it under control.

[ He is not a person who has cared about fairy tale weddings a day in his life, and it shows, since he can't keep a straight face.

It's nice to meet someone who knows how to, well, not take everything quite as seriously as it might merit. ]

Sorry! [To her credit, she really does look fairly apologetic.] I didn't want to say it was going to work and then not actually have it work. Sometimes Kanzeon can't rescue us from battles even when we really need it. Besides, ViViD doesn't always play by the rules anyway.

[With that she turns to get a look at their surroundings. It sort of looks like they're right at the beginnings of a forest maybe.] The last time I tried this in another game we were sent straight into a giant pile of mud. This was way easier this time.

[ okay, a flimsy strategy, she admits. but her specialization is dealing with akuma and devising ways to ultimately save her opponent, not brutally kill it like this. ]
