speaking of big cuddly dragons, the one currently being hugged sniffs hiro, exhales a warm puff of air, and then vocalizes a low, quiet croon due to the current situation. random hugs aren't the worst thing, but he is moving forward slowly, gently shoving hiro. hugs aren't enough. ]

[not knowing what kind of boss it is means he has no idea if that's possible. the heartless always ended up where he was because of the keyblade—could that happen here too? is it even a heartless they'd be dealing with? it is a mystery, truly.

it's not like roxas is much better off with his keyblades size-wise, either. sure, oathkeeper and oblivion aren't as big as ends of the earth, but it's still two and roxas isn't that big of a kid. who knows? maybe they can draw it out with the power of three keyblades circulating the air.]

But I guess even if it's not, it's probably worth a shot, right? [so roxas holds both hands out at his sides, just enough away from his body to summon both keyblades—oathkeeper in the left, and oblivion in the right. both practically touching the floor as they form. surprise, terra! it's not one, but two!]

It may be a longshot, but...

[They are her allies now, even if they only humans. She'll have to protect as many as she can-- that's what a Crystal Gem does. But adults needn't be kept away from too much information. They aren't the same as certain little boys. In a situation like this, they surely can be relied on for menial tasks like supplying the most basic intel!]

Place tricks? Are you saying that the presentation was a lie?

[She doesn't want to get her hopes up or anything, but it would be much better to face an adversary than to have to work for a strange entity to bring back the human Earth. To have it all be a farce would be kind, in a way.]

[Pearl is less than fully convinced up until the boy names the beast. The way he boldly stepped between them could be written off as human bravado; what causes Pearl to stand down is the tone he takes on. That's a desire to protect in his voice, and the Gem is incredibly weak to it.]

Are you sure harmless is entirely accurate?

[Wary gaze. Her hand has paused with only the tip of her weapon being tugged out from the large pearl embedded in her forehead.]

[Pearl would never, ever willingly abandon Steven! Not unless she had a mission to do and Garnet wasn't overly concerned about small cats taking over his body. Their work as Crystal Gems can once in a while put a damper on her parenting skills, but overall she has done her best to provide in the absence of-- ah. Steven's actual mother.

ViViD has glitched in the past, so I do not place much trust in it. Of course, this level could be normal, just long.
