[okay, so maybe he also appreciates that kratos saved his ass. but he has to bitch and moan before he gets to that part. and maybe eye those mana wings a bit curiously; seriously, how is everyone so anime around here? he'll never understand this. but... he also guesses that it's something to be grateful for.

he'll get to that part, though. he's still definitely a bit on the off-put side about not getting a warning before any of that.]

[enjoy those wings as long as you can because they vanish in a couple seconds. no one with a lick of common sense keeps them when they could draw unnecessary attention. kratos' eyes first settle on nam soon before darting around their surroundings.]

Had I wasted those seconds, you might be a leg or two lighter.

[potentially. the kid also could have avoided that but really who gives a warning when saving someone else. consider the bitching and moaning permitted if only because of a lack of kicking and screaming earlier. it's not as though he really cares for or expects thanks, either.

a thorough scan (visual and audio) reveals the closest monsters being a solid distance away. with any luck, luck in this case being angelic senses, any needless encounter can be avoided.]

There aren't any enemies close by so we should be fine going down this way.

[he kind of has to admit defeat on that; nam soon may be capable, even in ViViD under normal circumstances, but nothing here had actually been normal to begin with, even by ViViD standards. but with things as they are right now, it's very well possible that he would have ended up as monster meat, and for that, kratos really did save his hide.

but it's hard to show that he's grateful, if only because he's just bad at it. it's not often anyone bails him out of a tight spot, so it just doesn't come naturally to him at all. instead, he finds himself clicking his tongue and letting out a sigh. there it is, there's that bit of defeat, and kratos is more than welcome to take that as his own victory in this argument. it can't be helped that nam soon is basically just a dumb, overgrown child when he wants to be, despite the guise of (very) early adulthood and maturity when it really counts for something.]

Is there a path out? [he's eyeing the area warily; all of his own attempts to escape had been met with dead ends, and he doesn't have any way of being sure that the monsters aren't a threat here. he can only trust kratos here, and he's not sure whether or not that's a good idea.
