[ but... oh?? oh that's kind of odd. she looks vaguely unsure of what to do before awkwardly taking off in the direction of the monsters. she'll look back at him once or twice before feeling weird about that and stops.

then they turn the corner to some nasty looking things in the dungeon with them. malia takes a moment to gag slightly. ]

Oh god, they're even worse up close.

Even I can smell them now. [Wrinkles nose...] And they're uglier than normal, too.

[Putting on his headphones, now.]

So they've definitely gotta go.

[Is that seriously your only reason to want to fight them, Nice.]

[ you take one and sheeee will take the other! because she's smaller, she's able to take a running start and slide underneath its legs. when she gets to the other side, she takes a leap at its back and digs in with her claws, pulling herself up as she goes. the monster itself is yelling and throwing itself everywhere and trying to grab her off but welp, she's quick and the troll isn't that flexible.

when she gets to the head, she'll wrap her legs around its neck and dig her claws into its eyes and pull. it's actually getting kind of bloody over here! but at least it's looking weaker by the second. how are you doing, nice? ]

[He has half the mind to just hang back and let her do all the work, but he decides against it. Especially when the other monster decides to swing at him.

Alright, he's going.

He snaps, and when Malia decides to check, and suddenly the monster looks pretty bothered about something around its ankles before it begins to fall. He appears by it by that point, and just watches it while shaking out his hands.]

[scenting]

[ don't you dare, you lazy shit.

when malia finally gets her monster down after bleeding it dry and snapping its neck, she looks up to see nice suddenly appearing?? out of nowhere?? and narrows her eyes. ]

Do you go invisible or something?

[ the... thought of nice being able to go invisible... that sounds like a bad idea waiting to happen.

also casually asking this while ignoring the two other monsters left, no big. ]

The monster that he'd knocked down tries to move, and he quickly kicks it in the head -- which probably wasn't a good idea.]

[ oh. but it is a really neat trick, damn. she de-furs for a moment and rubs the back of her neck, thinking. ]

But you're entirely human, right? How does that work?

[ she does roll her eyes at the kick though. nice, don't be dumb. ]

That kind of happens with monsters.

What do you mean by "entirely human"? All Minimum Holders are human.

I mean, Three can become beast-like like you, but he's still technically human.

[But the monster is annoying! He'll give it one last glance, before being pretty satisfied that it's passed out or dead, whichever.]

No, he's not. Well, I don't know him but I'm not human. [ . . . well. ] Okay, I'm kind of human. I'm like, half-human and the rest of me is a coyote. I'm a werecoyote.

So do you know werewolves then, if you're a werecoyote? Are there wereother things too?

Yeah, I know werewolves. The others in my pack are werewolves and we knew someone who became a werejaguar once. She was kind of a bitch though.

Werejaguar...that's new. I didn't even know it could extend to cats too. It always seemed like people could turn into dogs.

Not saying you're lying, but that's new.

[ yep, there's like two other ogres off to the side, picking their nose. meanwhile the two teens here talk about what's cool or not. ]

Some people turn into lizards. Have you ever heard of a kanima? That's one. I don't know much about other types of things since it's all stuff my pack dealt with before I joined. But it's like... the shape you take reflects the person you are. Sometimes that's not a wolf.

That's pretty cool, though. I kind of want to be able to turn into an animal, now...

My father's a werewolf. My mother's a werecoyote. I know my father was born one too, but I don't know about my mother. I -- I was adopted, so.

Well, I guess not the adopted part, but the part where you were born that way. That's like...you got a shortcut to it or something.

[ she rubs at her shoulder a bit, uncomfortable with the idea of it being a shortcut. if she thinks too hard about it, she'll probably get upset so she -- tries not to. tries to think of how it's "cool" instead. ]

There's things I can do bitten ones can't. Probably because I was born instead.

Wait, the other guys can't do that? I thought werewolves turned into wolves or something. Though I guess it depends on the story, because that all I've ever heard of them in.

Some can, some can't. I don't really know the rules for it but I know it's kind of rare.
