[She puts it together about the same time he does, and she starts searching on the floor or something like that to see if she could find it.

...But then she thinks about the monsters, and she runs quickly to them and starts feeling around their bodies. If it was a video game, one of them should have it, right?

Mm. [That's the only noise he manages as he heads towards the nearest carcass, finding nothing in the rubble on the floor. At least there's not far to go, as the walls are getting close enough to push the monsters towards them. But that also means they don't have long let.

Jade puts all of his experience in conducting searches of criminals into practice, feeling along the monster's forms and whatever clothing they may have. But nothing yet...]

[Finally, in one of the last monsters she checked, there was the last piece of the puzzle. She grabs it, and makes a run for the door, so that she can smash it into place.

And...hopefully make the walls stop closing in.

[As the last piece is inserted, the door shifts and starts opening! By slowly sliding upwards.

But the walls seem to be following the practice of 'can't stop, won't stop', and it's starting to get cramped. They may just have moments left - probably around the amount of time it will take the door to open fully. But Jade is swiftly at her side as he assess the situation.]

[Well. That wasn't what she expected. She backs up enough of a space so that she'll be able to start getting into a run, and by that time it would probably have risen enough so that she could slide underneath it.

And that's what she does, starting out at a sprint before hitting the ground and sliding underneath the door.

[He actually has to sidle over a bit to give her space for her run. Once she's through, Jade wastes no time in following suit, the walls inches away from him as he throws himself on the ground and somehow manages to make a successful slide in his robe.

Once safely on the other side, he stands up and dusts himself off, while the walls can be heard slamming together behind him.]


Well, I suppose there's no turning back now. [He adjusts his glasses.] Let's assume that we're on the correct path.

[She gets off the floor a minute later, and brushes herself off. When she hears the walls slamming together, she sighs.]

Glad that's not us.

[But she's going to keep walking.]

I'm going to assume so, or we just went through a whole lot of trouble for nothing.

That's right. It's not as if we have much of a choice now. So let's pursue this assumption to its logical end.

[Which seems to be right ahead of them... The path opens into a larger cavern, with a sign that has a skull on it. All the telltale signs of an impending boss battle.]
