[To be fair, if it had been mission related, he might not remember, for as much as he tries, and as much as he internalizes more of his interactions with people on Shinra's dime--for better or worse--than he probably should for the sake of his sanity.

But he doesn't think that's the case. Not that he has a better explanation.]

[Or they work for everyone, everywhere, depending on how you look at it, but an explanation like that would go totally over Zack's head. And he doubts they'd do anything to get on a company's bad side.]

[Well, that's interesting. For as much as Zack's apparently lacking memories of meeting Terra, it looks like he's not the only one with some gaps. Or this is just a really weird, weird joke that neither of them really seem to be getting the punchline for. Though, back home, someone would have had to have been living under a rock for quite some time to not know what anyone meant when talking about "The Company" in singular, proper tense.]

Shinra! You know, "the"? Energy company that kinda...owns...everything? Any of that ring a bell?
