[ A ... microwave? He's not sure what that is, but. He laughs a little. ]

Well, I don't really wanna destroy anything. [ That would probably be bad. Even accidentally. ] So I'd really appreciate your help. From the looks of things, there's a lot I'm gonna need to learn about ... [ So many things. ] And from the sound of things, too ... I've never even heard of a "microwave".

Oh don't worry! It's a lot easier than you think, all you need to do is push one of the numbers and see how long you want to cook your food! It's simple as that!

[A beat]

That and you gotta be careful about that too or else your food will explode! It's always a fight between the nature of food versus the microwave, it never ever ends!

[ Oh, so a microwave cooks food? At least he knows that now. And while she made it seem simple at first, it suddenly seems a lot more complicated, too. Oh gosh. ]

It'll explode?! What's a microwave do to the food, anyway? [ He's pretty sure that's not normal. ] Can't we just use a normal fire to cook it?

[ A fire and some wood should be easy to obtain, too, right! ]

Well, we could but can you cook with it on that weird thing? I think it was called an oven? But anyway! The last time I tried to do that, it didn't end up very well...

[And let's just say that it involved a lot of fire. Lots and lots of it]

So it's the mircowave for me! Unless you want to try it with fire! But tell me how it goes, I want to learn how to cook with it too!

[ Geez, even cooking here is apparently going to be a problem. Maybe Lailah can help, if/when he finds her ... She's a fire Seraph, after all, so this should be right up her alley! (And he'll never let Mikleo anywhere near these things.) ]

I have a friend who might be able to help with this stuff, so I'll let you know if she can. Maybe she can figure out the microwave a little better. [ Even if she's probably (definitely) never encountered one, maybe fire Seraph instinct can help ... or something ....... He just has to worry about finding her first. ]

In the meantime, you should probably be careful with it ...

If she does, I definitely want to go and talk to her! Because if she can handle cooking, then I want to learn how to as well! I don't want to keep on relying on the microwave!

[Anything was better than her poor attempt at cooking to impress Flynn. And even then, said cooking wasn't...that great]

Especially after how all the technology here just wrecked havoc on us too.

Well, I could help you a little, I guess. I can cook a bit. [ He's not amazing or anything, but he's grown up to know how to fend for himself. ] But not with a microwave, of course. I'd need a normal fire. [ He'd rather leave the microwave to Lailah, if she can even figure it out.

But that last bit gets his attention. ]

You can use the stove? I think it might make it easier for you since you don't need to get firewood or anything.

Although, the other option is to cook food somewhere out in the open and I think that might scare a lot of people really!

Hm? Oh yeah! A while ago, for some odd reason, Cerealia thought it would be a good idea to let whatever stuff they had attacked them! [A beat] Which is weird if you ask me.
