[Well...that's sort of depressing. He doesn't say anything for a moment as he continues to lead them through the level, occasionally side-stepping items on the floor or pausing to pick up anything interesting. When he does speak though, he's not looking at Roxas but rather he's examining a bone saw he's picked up.]

Sometimes life doesn't go the way we planned it, you know? Even if it's not something you had a choice in it's still something you can make work in your favor, isn't it?

[it's not like he could blame hiro for that—it's just an unfortunate truth that roxas is pretty bitter about the hand he's been dealt. he accepts the silence, mulling things over as they walk; he idles a bit when hiro stops, since he's not particularly interested in anything he's seeing.]

You can make it work in your favor and still not like it, though. Things like that can still bring a lot of problems. [too many problems, more than he's ever needed.]

Then you keep reworking it until you like it. [It's an easy concept Roxas, come on. Not that Hiro would be so easy to agree if the tables were turned either, but.] ...you don't think all problems can be fixed?

I dunno. I've never had one I was able to just "fix" before. I don't think everything is just fixable that way.

[not that he doesn't want to try, he's just not optimistic enough to really think it. boy, they're sure getting off track here though, roxas thinks.] If it is, I'd want to try but...

[Sorry buddy, he sometimes gets off-topic even if he thinks it's kind of important. He gives Roxas a sheepish look, nodding in agreement as he spots the exit ahead of them from the level.]

[it's probably for the better this way, all things considered. dumping his problems, even somewhat unintentionally, on a stranger just isn't something he wants to do. so instead, he draws in a small breath, looking in the direction hiro points before giving an affirmative nod.]

As ready as I'm gonna be, I bet. Let's see what it's all about.
