Aa... there was a woman there, chained up, behind another cage. She was under all this surveillance. She was the one who told us CERES had been watching through us, all this time...

And then, something happened to all of our eyes and we passed out.

[Hinata's lips twist.]

[braavado]

[Korra listens, her expression only turning more serious with every second.]

So she's not a fan of CERES. [Briefly, Korra wonders who the woman was.] What happened when you woke up?

[particularity]

I couldn't see out of my eye... and I felt sick for a while. Nauseous.

[Hinata frowns and touches his fingertips over the eye he couldn't see out of.]

[braavado]

Is it...still like that?

[Hesitantly, if only because he's a stranger, Korra reaches out and lightly touches his arm.]

We don't have to talk about this if it's still too much.

[She wants the information, badly, of course. But she doesn't want to make him feel awful either.]

[particularity]

[Hinata blinks. And he looks at her face, and a smile breaks over his own.]

No. It's fine now. It came back, bit by bit, until I could see again.

I won't say I didn't panic at the time... but I'm good to talk about it now.

[braavado]

[She watches him carefully, waiting for him to change his mind. When he doesn't, she nods. She doesn't know why he's smiling at her like that, but if he's sure...]

When you woke up again, was the woman in the cage still there?

[particularity]

I dunno. [Hinata frowns.] When we woke up... we were back in our apartments.

Komaeda--er, the guy I live with--said that the androids just came in and put me in my bed. CERES's robots, that is.

[braavado]

And I get the feeling we aren't getting back in that building so easily.

[Korra sighs.]

It's weird, though. Why would your guide just leave you there if they were trying to hide something?

[particularity]

[Hinata shakes his head. That's for sure. CERES guards that building well.]

...Someone else I know was wondering the same thing. And it wasn't just us, it seems like it happened to a lot of the groups.

That's suspicious too.

[braavado]

[Definitely suspicious. Korra can think of one reason immediately, and it's slightly optimistic.]

Do you think someone in CERES wanted the tour groups to find things?

[particularity]

Aa, I don't think that's impossible.

[Hinata nods-- the thought's occurred to him before, too.]

[braavado]

[She looks at him intently, wondering if he's figured out another angle to it all.]

What do you think happened, then?

[particularity]

I... most of my thoughts are just guesses. There are all kinds of things that it could be. But I think that someone might've wanted the information we found out on the tours.

And that, maybe, they had some part in it.

[He pauses a moment.] A little while after we woke up, after the tours and after we'd been brought home, we all got a message on our devices here. It thanked us... so I'm suspicious of that.

[braavado]

And you haven't gotten any more messages since then?

[Whoever sent it sounds pretty elusive, though Korra supposes an elusive ally is better than none at all.]

[particularity]

No, not since then...

[Hinata shakes his head. It's always only bits and pieces. Like Haven, Cerealia never gives too much, never allows them to find too much.]

[braavado]

[She sighs. Exactly what she was afraid of.]

And we have no idea who they are. I guess all we can do is wait and see if they send you guys anything else.

[Shaking off the disappointment, Korra gives him a smile that's small and tired.]

[Hinata nods, expression softening.]

Yeah, no problem. I think the more informed we are, the better.

[Better than not knowing a thing!]
