[ At her response, he makes a sound of agreement. Humans do have a lot of spirit. It's what keeps them going, isn't it? What keeps them alive. Sometimes, he forgets and loses sight of this, especially with how difficult the job is back home. Seeing so many people in fragile states of mind. Triggered by their stress, by their lives, by simply being.

He'd been there. Gino isn't sure he'll ever fully recover. ]

I'm used to track down criminals. [ How does he explain this... ] In my world, there exists a set of people in the police force that have criminal mind sets. It doesn't make them on the wrong side of the law, but they have a better capacity for understanding what would drive a person to crime– we call them latent criminals.

[ Stick to the textbook definition. It's easier. ] That's my classification.

[It is such a direct contrast, when having freedom can also be chaotic. At the same time, should that be directed at various nation spirits, they would find themselves very Displeased. And wondering how Japan allowed it to go through.

She listens carefully. What she gathered is that a detective who tries to think like a criminal in order to solve crimes are then called "latent criminals". Isn't this a normal kind of practice? Not just for criminals, but also in sports, competitions. It's speculation.

Vietnam raises her eyebrow.]
A detective often puts himself in another mindset in order to solve crimes, no? But "latent criminal", doesn't that make you sound like...a criminal? The implication is right there in the name.

[ Freedom is chaotic, especially for those so used to a System that's decided their welfare for so long. Perhaps some nations would disagree; Sybil was built for the most people to feel the most happiness. Not everyone is included. Isn't that the sticking point? ]

They do. [ He can't disagree. It's part of the job, as much as it's also part to ensure the mind doesn't go to the same dark place the criminals go to. That's the difficult side. The one that Akane seems to have no problems leaping over in hurdles. Gino still isn't sure how she manages. ]

Something like it. There's not a lot of freedom of motion, but I suppose it's better than the alternatives. [ Isolation or execution. ] I apologize, I don't mean to burden you with this. It's just how things are.

[She's not entirely sure it would work for countries like herself. Suddenly Psycho-Pass movie plays (wait a minute). But really, as someone who can feel the people, she would know what could happen when humans become caged. A nice, gilded cage, but still a cage.

But she doesn't know those details. All she knows is that Ginoza is considered a criminal.]
A hound, a criminal...you're monitored. [It's not a fancy term, he actually is on a leash.] It is fine. [Perhaps it is better for him now.] What is the alternative? If you can tell me, that is.
