Hmm... well, I don't know too much about headaches and stuff in humans-- [he scratches at the back of his neck, apologetic. Sorry, he's a sword, and not even a fancy one that could purify things like some of his friends, lame.]

Oh! But sometimes if you're too tired or thirsty, that can make your head hurt! Do you have a group you're staying with? I could carry you to them! If not, I can help look for water? That is, if all the water in this place isn't weird like the rest of it...

[he's probably overwhelming her with questions without realizing it, but he just wants to help!]

[ To be perfectly fair to him, Mary is just an easily overwhelmed individual. And even she can tell that this very tall stranger isn't here to hurt her, despite her timid instincts clamoring otherwise.

She considers correcting him, that she isn't human, because with a claim like that, it's pretty obvious that he isn't either-- but no, better to be safe than sorry, so when she slowly speaks up again, it's not about that. ]

I'm staying with Zara... he's not as big as you, but he has bunny ears.

I met a guy with bunny ears recently! Not here, but... before? In that one block challenge that a lot of us got thrown into.

[A shame he didn't get the bunny-man's name during, but to be fair, it was a very stressful situation not allowing time for pleasantries.]

[ Hopefully those birds don't migrate quickly. But she does seem to have perked up a bit at the mention. ]

I think... there were some birds... that way? [he points back to where he came from, through (unfortunately) another mess of vines.]

Then again, I've seen a lot of different birds here. I guess we can just go until something looks familiar to you!

[he stands himself up and quickly offers her a hand- fully intending to toss her up onto his shoulders when she grabs it.]

[ Even if she's blanching at the sight of more vines, this won't stop her from (tentatively) reaching out to (gingerly) place her hand in his, because of course she doesn't suspect that her feet could possibly leave the ground as a result of such a gesture! That would be silly. ]

[He may stretch her arm just a tad when taking her hand... before latching an arm under hers and bringing her up to rest on his hip not unlike an adult holding a tiny child.]

[ ACTUALLY THIS IS HIGHLY EMBARRASSING, and Mary just let out a very dignified squawk, scrambling to cling to him because she also doesn't feel all that secure. ] You don't h-have to carry me!

[he makes sure to stabilize her, supporting her with one arm as the other holds onto his blade. He lugs around small ones at home all the time, don't worry about it.]

You sure?? You seem so exhausted! We wouldn't want you passing out or anything... I would end up carrying you anyways.
