You'll cook for me even more? I think that's a pretty good deal--but y'know, I would've done it without a meal too, right? [Because he should be able to defend himself, and a useless weapon won't be much help with that.

A pause, and she adds sheepishly, even as she keeps rustling through the bushes and flowers for his missing shoe:]

Sorry that I can't do it right now though... This is probably when you'd need one most of all, too.

Hell, for the chance to show off my cooking, and a working weapon, I'll personal chef it up for you for a while. I couldn't just take something for free, anyway.

[He glances at her in surprise; it's not her fault they all ended up out here like this, and he isn't anybody else's responsibility to make sure that he can take care of himself.]

Don't even worry about it right now-- I'm tougher than I look, actually.

[He stops searching, then leans forward, moving suddenly and drawing his hand out, shoe held triumphantly over his head.]

Ha! See, I'm solving problems all over the place.

[She grins in response to that, nodding brightly. He's very triumphant, after all; it's hard not to agree with that sort of thought process for her.]

Well, when you put it that way, you're not wrong! One shoe-problem down, a whole jungle full of problems to go!
