Nope! I've heard of them, but they never came to my town. [such is the life of being a guy from the countryside. by the time he got to the cities that would have had them, they weren't around.

and you know, he was busy saving the world and all.]

You don't have to pay me back or anything! It would be fun to look around with someone else, though. [not... that he'd say no to food. don't let his modesty fool you, his eyes definitely lit up at the mention.]

Well, I'm no expert myself, but... I think I'm familiar enough with some of the things.

Have you ever tried—

[ "—cotton candy", is the rest of that sentence, but he seems to realize something. ]

—Oh! I never introduced myself... sorry, it must be weird, being solicited by someone whose name you don't even know?!

[ Cue some vague gesturing, followed by a bow. ]

I'm Atsushi, Atsushi Nakajima. I'm new, and— it's very nice to meet you!

Oh... right. I guess it's pretty rude of me too, not introducing myself either.

[he lets out a sheepish laugh as he ruffles his hair a bit. oops.]

I'm Stahn Aileron. It's really good to meet you too, Atsushi! I haven't been here that long either... just a few weeks. But I can try to help, if you need it!

Haha... it's really amazing. Everyone here is so helpful...

[ He says that half to himself, before he gathers himself again and quirks his lips up into a grateful smile. ]

Thank you for offering, Stahn-san. But for now, maybe I can do something for you.

[ He says, and makes a 'wait here' gesture before trotting towards one of the vendors to get them both cotton candy!! He'll hand Stahn the puffy pink one, with a somewhat-searching 'here you go'. ]

[he's seen this before; apparently following atsushi's request and waiting around for a minute is worth it.

he's not the biggest on things this sweet, but cotton candy is pretty cool in small doses (though he imagines leon would love it). he'll take it gratefully though, grin wide on his face.]

You didn't have to do anything like this, but thanks! [at least he's grateful for it. at least this carnival has something good to offer them, right?]

[ Wow, look at that sunshine smile...! It's contagious, so Atsushi beams in return, shuffles his feet over the grass for a second before gathering himself again. ]

Ah... well, we might as well try to enjoy ourselves while we're here, right...?

[ Even if their circumstances are sketchy as hell. ]

I think so! There's no point in being down about things... something like this should fun.

We could just walk around and see what we find! It may be better that way, anyway.

[ He's so disarmed by how friendly everyone here is...! It almost makes him somewhat shy, but he pulls himself together enough to point to a row of carnival games with a good assortment of prizes: too bad he points to the vendor that has weird stuffed animals by accident... ]

There are games too, if you want to try doing one...? [ Does Stahn want nightmare dolls, that's the real question here. ] I think the darts ones are pretty easy...

Oh! That looks like fun. I haven't played any games like this before.

[due to that lack of going to carnivals in the past situation. but weird stuff animals or not, stahn is as enthusiastic as ever to give it a shot.]
