[That's just how he balances out his point actually being reasonable.]

Whoa! [Taichi s indeed pulled out of the way as the monster appears. He gives a relieved look towards Yamato - the closest thing to a thank you he'll spare, and then he glances towards Agumon as the digimon springs into action.]

Baby Flame!!

[And so Agumon shoots a fireball right at the monster! It is a direct hit, but it doesn't seem to do much more than briefly wind this monster.]

Petit Fire! [Gabumon follows up Agumon's attack with a blue jet of flame, but the attack is no more effective than Agumon's. The monster lunches to swipe them both out of the way, Gabumon being stricken into a nearby tree.]

Get up, Gabumon...! How strong is this thing?

[He looks at Taichi, uncertain. It's impossible to tell what they're up against when this place probably doesn't follow the rules of the Digital World. Maybe their Adult forms would be strong enough together...?]

[Agumon lets out a cry as he's slapped back, tumbling into a bush near Gabumon.]

Maybe this guy's the boss... Come on, Agumon! You can do it!

[Agumon slowly rises up and stands. First, he gives a supportive glance towards Gabumon, and then back towards Taichi.]

I can do it... I can do it!

[As Agumon gets himself all pumped up, Taichi's digivice starts to glow, and he smiles confidently as it begins.]

Agumon evolve! [A brillaint flash of light and-] Greymon!!

[Encouraged by both Yamato and Agumon, Gabumon quickly picks himself up, following Agumon's lead.]

Gabumon evolve! [He glows and changes, until--] Garurumon!

[Garurumon pounces at the monster, bowling it over with his increased speed and strength. He tries to pin it down with his jaws, but it throws him, forcing him to leap away and land nearby.

Either way, the attack has done its work -- the monster is distracted, leaving it wide open for Greymon to get a hit in.]

[Greymon bounds forward, fully ready to take advantage of the opening. He starts by opening his mouth and unleashing fire with a bellow.]

Mega Flame!

[Greymon spits out a powerful burst of fire that manages to nail the monster without hitting Garurumon. And then, he dashes forward to headbutt the monster and see if that will do the trick.]

[The double blow is enough to finish the monster off, and Yamato cheers at Greymon and Garurumon as it's defeated.] Good job!

[Then he catches Taichi's eye, and, reminded of their earlier conversation, his smile fades a little. It's hard to enjoy being a team again after that, no matter how well they fight together. So instead he just says quietly:]

...Sorry. I rushed into that one.

[encourageous]

Greymon, you did it! [He cheers as Greymon looks proud; he'll remain in that form for a little more, just to make sure there's no danger.

Taichi can't help but have enjoyed that as well. While their digimon worked together, it kind of felt like he and Yamato were really on the same wavelength again. Just like in their last battles against Piemon and Apocalymon.

So he turns to him with a smile.]

Don't sweat it! I guess now you know... I can stop people from rushing on ahead, too! [He laughs at his own joke, and then he clasps Yamato's hand.]

Go ahead towards Takeru. Greymon and I will watch your back!

[friendshipcrest]

[Despite part of him still being mad at Taichi, Yamato can't help but crack a smile at the joke, clasping his hand in return.]

Don't let it go to your head just because it happened once.

[He's sure Taichi would do exactly the same thing, if not worse, if it was Hikari up ahead. But Yamato leaves it at that, nodding. Garurumon pads over at Taichi's suggestion, and he climbs onto the wolf Digimon's back.]

He can't be far. And maybe we'll see Hikari with them, too.

[encourageous]

[Taichi's feelings of irritation were still there, beneath the surface. But for the moment, he's on the high of the success of their teamwork, and the urgency of looking out for their siblings. So he nods firmly.]

Hikari... Let's get moving then! [Taichi climbs up onto Greymon's shoulder as they move onwards...!]
