She tipped her head to the side, then smiled a beat later, reaching out to pat the top of his head. It was a bit of a luxury — she's normally way too short to reach anyone's head. Now she meant it as a reassuring sort of motion.

"You did really great. Next time, you'll do even better."

Now, he outright grinned.

"Okay, okay. I promise."

She grinned in return, watching the medical and relief people making their way up the road from a few blocks back. "Good. Now rest for a bit, and let the other people do what it is they do best." She leaned back against the wall, feeling some relief in relaxing for the moment too.

"We can head out again in a little while."

The hardest part of relaxing, for Eiji at least, was just leaving things to other people. But at least these are doctors, and he knows they can do a lot more for everyone than he can, so he tries to rest.
