![]() ViViD's usual worlds are unfortunately down for maintenance. While CERES' programmers work on getting it back up and running, all new entrees this round will be going through a different level than usual. Only a single world is accessible at the moment, a simple one entitled 'CERESLearn.' "What the $%@& is this?" you must be thinking. Well, it's simple! It's a study program, of course! CERES' advanced AI technology is here to make sure you learn and that you learn sexily. Whether or not you pay attention to the actual content is up to you, the player. Please enjoy it while it lasts. They're here to teach you a variety of subjects and also to make you feel vaguely uncomfortable all over. New arrivals and those logging into ViViD will first find themselves in a classroom with a new operator greeting them rather than Vidia.

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's usual arrival experience (which is not entirely applicable this round for reasons stated above^) and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |
bonus;
[Sousei's got no idea, honestly, but here's here to rain on your meal anyway.
You know. Just in case you were thinking of enjoying it.]
Though I would not trust food they have offered us for free regardless. They have used our food before as a method of slipping questionable substances to people.
[you're welcome]
no subject
[ not directed towards you, friend, but what you just said. His ears immediately seem to go more rigid than before, alert and none-too-happy, and he stares at Sousei in disbelief. Yeah, this burger is going nowhere near his lips now. ]
Please, tell me the details.
no subject
I believe it was the exact same food item as this--it caused people to attempt to harm each other, I've been told, though I wasn't present.
I was present for the second incident, where a drug was slipping into many peoples' food, in an attempt to make them lose their inhibitions.
[inhibitions of any sort....]
no subject
... I truly don't understand the meaning of all this...
no subject
Though he understands and sympathizes to an extent, it probably can't actually be seen on his face, and he's as blunt as ever. Sorry, bunny.]
You will find that there are few answers thus far. Focus on caution and survival to begin.
no subject
Of course. [ that way of life had been his for the past few days before coming here, anyway. ] I suppose there's actual danger present here, as well? Aside from turning us against each other, I ran into... some kind of monster earlier.
no subject
...Yes. [virtual danger, real danger...it sort of all blends together.] It is difficult to predict, however. The source of danger changes often.
no subject
[ even the cat princes did a better job protecting the capital, for the most part!! ]
no subject
[QUITE FRANKLY.]
Either they are incompetent or malicious. There is no excusing their behavior otherwise.
no subject
... I'd like to imagine it's the former. If they had ill intentions towards us, it seems they would have already killed us by now.
no subject
Not like it's worth stirring up panic over what is just suspicions.]
If it is the former, then they have no intentions of improving, from the looks of things.
[...]
It doesn't matter much at the moment, though. Just be certain to keep your guard up.
no subject
I'd say it matters quite a bit, actually. Understanding our captors is the first step to getting back home.
no subject
Regardless, he's not going to argue the point either.]
I agree that that is our most important goal at present. Still, it may save time in the future if you focus first on acclimating.
[Once you have a house and food and stuff, then help the rest of them find a way out.]
no subject
[ other than not eat this suspicious burger, which is an activity he's going to continue to partake in. Acclimate... Zara had lived in the same place for almost 10 years, but before that, he'd moved around a lot. Rabbits were a nomadic people. Surely, he can acclimate to this place, too.
Even if it feels impossible right now. His long purple ears quiver. ]
I assume they do not always provide food like this for us?
no subject
(He's trying very hard to not stare at those ears. So far, he's being successful.
It wouldn't do to be rude to someone non-human just because they look different......)]
That's correct. Food, lodgings and the like will have to be obtained on your own. It isn't difficult to earn money here, though it...can be troublesome.
[Working for them, he means.]
no subject
[ several options race through his mind. Life had seemed civilian enough here, based on what he'd seen, but he hasn't forgotten their supposed purpose in being here - to fight some kind of battle against an unknown but dangerous enemy. What they do could range anywhere from stocking and supplying to actual front-line fighting. ]
no subject
[He just...doesn't like working for their kidnappers.]
It is the circumstances that leave a bad taste in my mouth.
no subject
... Understandable. If what they say about our worlds is true, they're doing us a favor. But if it's not...
[ then they're just being taken advantage of completely. ]
no subject
[He hears the unspoken and agrees with it. If it's not, then they're really just pawns for whatever nonsense they're doing.]
You seem to have a solid grasp on the situation. Do you have further questions?
no subject
[ he says, with some air of finality - then seems to realize something, a small smile appearing on his formerly-solemn face. ]
Actually, just one thing. Could I have your name?
no subject
[He doesn't smile in return, but that's just because he's a killjoy--he at least seems to lighten up a bit now that they're not discussing their captors.]
no subject
Zara Skeens - but just Zara is fine. What should I call you? Sir Abe?
no subject
(he won't, because he's a stubborn nerd when he wants to be.)]
That is fine. Zara, then.
If I discover further answers, I will tell you. [It's no hardship to let other people who are competent in on what he finds out, after all.]
