![]() ViViD's usual worlds are unfortunately down for maintenance. While CERES' programmers work on getting it back up and running, all new entrees this round will be going through a different level than usual. Only a single world is accessible at the moment, a simple one entitled 'CERESLearn.' "What the $%@& is this?" you must be thinking. Well, it's simple! It's a study program, of course! CERES' advanced AI technology is here to make sure you learn and that you learn sexily. Whether or not you pay attention to the actual content is up to you, the player. Please enjoy it while it lasts. They're here to teach you a variety of subjects and also to make you feel vaguely uncomfortable all over. New arrivals and those logging into ViViD will first find themselves in a classroom with a new operator greeting them rather than Vidia.

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's usual arrival experience (which is not entirely applicable this round for reasons stated above^) and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |

[Sorry, Captain, but this soldier girl isn't going to be running away anytime soon. She didn't have a good perch to hide in here, but she would have to make do with what she had.
She didn't have time to get proper aim with her rifle. The handguns would have to do. She left her rifle on her back and drew the two 9mms that she had. The last thing she wanted to do was hit Steve, but as soon as soon as she saw a perfect opening, she took it and fired.]

He nods, quickly dodging another attack from the beast. He moves to the left, pulling his shield from his arm and throwing it at the creature. It swings back around to him and he catches it with ease, pulling the monsters attention with it.
Now was her chance, but Steve wasn't sure how much damage handguns would do to something like this.]
That rifle will take it down faster. I'll keep it busy as long as you need.
[He wished he knew the layout of the school. Surely there was a better place to take this thing on, rather than the hallways. But he knew enough just based on every other school that an idea was forming in his mind.]
Think you can find the roof? Might have a better shot from there. Leave getting it outside to me.

[Without another word, she holstered the pistols and darted down another hallway. There had to be a staircase around here somewhere. This place was a maze. She turned down several dead ends before she finally found a staircase.
She paused for a moment to catch her breath before going up and kicking the roof door open while slinging her rifle off of her shoulder. She didn't know where Steve would be coming out of and she wanted to be ready as quick as possible.
Quickly checking her ammo, she went to the edge of the roof.]

[He'll weaken it and hopefully make it all that easier to take down when she's ready, is his plan.
And that's exactly what he does. Since most of the school is clear now, he's taking advantage of the space. He uses it's large size against it. It's not easy for it to maneuver through the halls, and that's what he counts on. It gives him the chance to do some damage, but it gives Riza time to get to where she needs to be.
It isn't long after Riza reaches the roof that there's a large crash and Steve comes rolling from the building, the monster right behind him. Steve's back on his feet in moments, and once he spots Riza, he'll once again toss his shield at the beast to keep it's attention and get it in a better line of sight. He doesn't need it wandering off, not now, but more than anything, he needs it in just the right place for her to get a good shot.]

Steady... She told herself as she looked down the scope of her rifle. She couldn't afford to let this...thing run rampant at a school. Too many people could be injured and she couldn't let that happen.
Another breath in to help steady her hands, aim, and fire. One shot, two, then three. All in rapid succession at what she thought was an eye. Or at least something close to it.]

This was partially to bring a quick, final end to the fight, but also control the collapse of the beast. It had been dying, sure, but it could have easily crashed into the wall of the school in it's last moments of fighting for life. Sure enough, it hit the ground hard, and didn't move again.
But the strangeness of the situation was only made more so when a trophy appeared in front of the monster, and the words 'YOU WON' rung through the area.]

Was this all some kind of game?
[Riza didn't like being toyed with and this was the kind of game that could get people killed. She shook her head a bit, trying to figure out what was going on. She looked over at Steve and gave him a small, but friendly smile.]
You're fighting skills are amazing.
[They reminded her of a certain alchemist, but at least Steve kept his shirt on.]
I'm Riza Hawkeye.

Seems like it. [He turns his gaze to the woman now, sharing her same concerns. If this was a game, it seemed harsh. He felt every hit he had received. If someone that didn't know how to fight got caught in this situation....he couldn't imagine it would end well.]
Thanks. Not half bad with a gun, yourself. [there's a hint of a smirk as she introduces herself, as he's unable to hide his amusement at her name. Hawkeye, huh?
He extends a hand out to her.] Steve Rogers. It's nice to meet you, ma'am.
