![]() ViViD's usual worlds are unfortunately down for maintenance. While CERES' programmers work on getting it back up and running, all new entrees this round will be going through a different level than usual. Only a single world is accessible at the moment, a simple one entitled 'CERESLearn.' "What the $%@& is this?" you must be thinking. Well, it's simple! It's a study program, of course! CERES' advanced AI technology is here to make sure you learn and that you learn sexily. Whether or not you pay attention to the actual content is up to you, the player. Please enjoy it while it lasts. They're here to teach you a variety of subjects and also to make you feel vaguely uncomfortable all over. New arrivals and those logging into ViViD will first find themselves in a classroom with a new operator greeting them rather than Vidia.

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's usual arrival experience (which is not entirely applicable this round for reasons stated above^) and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |

Yeah-- you wouldn't guess it, though, would you? It's amazing what turning into a bug-monster-thing does for your attractiveness.
[A shake of his head and his hand tightens around his sword's hilt.] They're coming, Nesso.
no subject
[Seriously even Arles seems less intimidating. He offers Elza a grin in response.] Though since it is a woman, shouldn't this be your strong suit, Elza? Maybe you could charm her to death rather than raise your blade?
[Go. Go flirt with the bug lady, Elza. Save them the battle. But his expression grows serious as he brings his weapon up, ready for the oncoming creatures.]
no subject
That? You know, Nesso... even I have a certain type of woman that I don't really like that much. That kind's usually the kind that turns into a giant bug monster and wants to eat me.
[His tail flicks sharply from side to side.]
no subject
[Because yeah, he can see that being a turnoff. That's not too hard to imagine. It turned him off. Then again, so did the forwardness and hitting on in general. All of this is rather, well, moot.
Since now it's combat, and that he can undestand.
When the bug monster breaks through the door, Nesso is in motion towards it, sword brought to bear, flanking to one side of the nearest creature.]
no subject
[And then his black sword cuts through the air, cutting the limb off to a shriek from the monster, blood splattering the blade and the floor as it crashes.]
no subject
Its jaws are problematic too!
[Nesso provides helpfully even as he finds what he hopes is a joint, plunging his blade deep inside the creature, a spray of ichor accompanying the thrust, enough of a wound that it brings the creature rearing up, shrieking, as much as bugs can shriek.]
no subject
[Elza swings his sword in a whirl, severing another leg, sending it spinning and skipping over the floor as the monster writhes, enraged and in pain. Elza darts about to its front, closer to Nesso, and flips up his longsword.
With a jab, he buries the blade inside of the monster's chest, twisting, cutting deep.]
no subject
[See, this is nice too, bantering as they go on about fighting. When Elza catches the creature in the chest, Nesso will take his opportunity as well, sword drawn to hack at the thing's head, intending to cleave into it -- and succeeding, all too messily unfortunately.
But still screeching the bug seems to be wavering on its feet.]
no subject
I think with one more, you should be able to fix it altogether, Nesso! Here, I'll get its attention.
[And he does, darting in close and darting away, drawing its eye.]
no subject
Be careful, Elza!
[But he's down with the plan. And the minute the creature's gaze turns away, Nesso is on the move with his sword, plunging it deep into the creature's chest, twisting, trying to strike some sort of vital place to take the bug down once and for all.]
no subject
[Elza ducks any oncoming blows, glancing quick in Nesso's direction as he moves. Runs, drawing its attention with his waving tail and with his lifted hands, his eyebrows furrowed in determination.
It's only when he hears that fleshy sound that comes with Nesso sinking in his blade that he allows himself to dart back out of the way.]
no subject
But he knows his friend is more than capable. And that faith pays off because now as he yanks his blade back, the bug creature shudders and falls forward. Nesso jogs backward, flicking at least some of the gore from his blade.]
That was the most persistent admirer I've ever seen.
no subject
But you dealt with it pretty well.
[You know. With killing and such.] Now that we don't have anything dangerous chasing us... I'm really relieved to see you, Nesso.
no subject
[Nesso's expression softens into a smile.] Likewise. Even if I'm not sure where here is, exactly, I'm happy to have found you.
[Someone he knows he can trust, who has his back. It's important.]
no subject
[You better not be implying that he doesn't make the best partner at some time!! Elza grips his elbow for another long moment, glancing around with twitching ears, checking the area, before looking back.]
Wherever it are, it sure as hell isn't Weblin. [He shakes his head.] It's not like anywhere in Weblin...
no subject
[Even buggy admirers!] Nowhere like Weblin. Like nowhere I've ever seen at the borders. But if the two of us are here, that can't be a coincidence.
[Right?]
no subject
Aa, it can't be. But, Nesso... you were taking your sister from the castle, weren't you? Last time you sent a report...
no subject
That... [His expression sobers and he nods.] That's right. We'd escaped and had just met up with the wolves. Fiona, Zara and myself. And Julian. [Oh Julian. Poor broken Julian. Anyway.]
But then suddenly I was here, with that strange explanation and... none of it makes sense. I can't find Fiona. I don't know if she's here or not.
[And for that matter.] You were out at the border. [Right?]
no subject
[But then he'll shake his head helplessly. He hasn't seen Fiona, either.]
Aa, your father-- the lord duke, he's safe. So are the little ones; those two hunts. They're all out of Weblin and were waiting for you.
no subject
[And what his sister wants, his sister gets.] Julian von Garibaldi, also betrayed by the princes it seems. He's a broken thing, but... [Nesso thinks he's an okay guy beneath it all. Hopefully.
He manages a faint smile.] You have my gratitude for your help, Elza. For keeping my family safe. [He knew he could count on you, bro.]
no subject
The wolf hunts, then...]
Nesso... this is all really true? The princes hiding a cure? If the country knew, then... [Oh dear. He puts his fingers to his temple, frowning, but he glances between the slats of his fingers at Nesso's face.]
You don't need to be grateful for that. It's only natural I'd help you. [He grips at his shoulder. However, are they really safe now? Elza doesn't know. He doesn't know anything.]
no subject
He's not sure he hast he words to describe it. So instead he lets his expression] I'm grateful nevertheless. Natural or not, I've relied heavily on you lately. I knew there was no way you would let me down. To be able to put my faith in you like that, without hesitation. It's invaluable.
[So accept his gratitude, damn it!]
no subject
He exhales, putting his fingers to his temple, pushing some of his hair back at the same time. But his gold eyes lower slightly Nesso's words, a smile crooking up one corner of his mouth.]
You know you can always count on me, Nesso. My life's duty is to serve as your vice-captain. [He brings a fist against his own chest, sounding proud.]
no subject
But as Elza says that, he finds himself exhaling a heavy sigh, reachig over to grip at Elza's arm once more.] Watch those words, Elza. I value your loyalty more than I can explain, but once we return to Weblin, to follow me any long will be tantamount to treason.
no subject
But his lips tug up in a smile at the words, his head lightly cocking. His arm shifts within Nesso's grip in order to clasp back at his arm.]
I wouldn't say that unless I intended to follow you wherever you went. Treason or not. My loyalty will always lay with you, no matter what we'd end up fighting. [Not a inch of hesitation, no sir.]
