![]() ViViD's usual worlds are unfortunately down for maintenance. While CERES' programmers work on getting it back up and running, all new entrees this round will be going through a different level than usual. Only a single world is accessible at the moment, a simple one entitled 'CERESLearn.' "What the $%@& is this?" you must be thinking. Well, it's simple! It's a study program, of course! CERES' advanced AI technology is here to make sure you learn and that you learn sexily. Whether or not you pay attention to the actual content is up to you, the player. Please enjoy it while it lasts. They're here to teach you a variety of subjects and also to make you feel vaguely uncomfortable all over. New arrivals and those logging into ViViD will first find themselves in a classroom with a new operator greeting them rather than Vidia.

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's usual arrival experience (which is not entirely applicable this round for reasons stated above^) and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |

[Nesso manages to call out, in between making a sweeping slash at the bug critter's legs before dodging its jaws (maybe? pincers? either way he's dodging) by tucking himself into a roll and scrambling back to his feet.]
As fast as you can, princess! I'll catch up!

... Slows...
Slows down. ]

... But instead, she runs in front of him, her hair flaring out around her as she throws out both her arms. ]
S-stop...

[ It's shrill, still small, hardly impressive. But her eyes flash from pink to a burning crimson, and the bug stops abruptly. To be precise, it freezes in place, one leg still extended to swipe at the both of them but never reaching its targets. ]
no subject
Mary! What are you doing?
[It's frantic, and as he sees the insect creature moving to strike, his arm comes out as best it can, blade raised to defend the two of them from a blow that... never comes.
For just a moment Nesso stares. That... is new. What happened to it? Is that something Mary did? But it's not important to figure out how just now. What really matters is this is the chance they need to escape, right? So without warning, he wraps his free arm around her waist, hefting the poor thing up like a football and taking off at a run.]
no subject
There isn't much. ]

What happened back there? Did you do that? [Witchcraft?! He'd be more frightened if 1. it had't just saved their lives and 2. his sister hadn't recently been accused of being a witch, which made him rethink many of his preconceived notions of witches in general. Because Fiona can only be associated with good things.]

... I said before... that my eyes were strange. [ she's quiet again, eyes resting on the floor as he runs. ] When I was little, I was told that I couldn't look anyone in the eyes or they'd turn to stone.
I can't really do that, but I can make things stop moving, for a little while. But it's not normal, I know, and it can scare people--
no subject
[It's not normal so far as he knows, but.] It can also do pretty impressive things. Like save both our lives.
[He glances over even as he runs, finding a door that leads to a stairwell now, darting inside and shutting it behind him before finally setting her down.] So thank you, princess. It looks like you wound up protecting me instead.

[He reaches out to settle a hand on her head gently.] Don't look so sad. Pretty girls are much more suited to smiling. [And then, in an attempt to be slightly less of a dork.] I'll be more careful from now on, all right?
no subject
Promise.
no subject
You have my word, princess.
no subject
... G-good. [ And, after a pause, she'll add a little shyly ] I'm glad you're okay.
no subject
I'm pretty relieved I am too. [He admits with a laugh, before adding, more seriously.] I'm glad you're all right too.

no subject
... Right! [ well, at least he got a smile. ]
no subject
Thank you. And you know, I'll have to see that I make it up to you too, for saving me.

So then, shall we call it even then and instead just be friends?
no subject
... I'd like that.
no subject
Good. I would too.
[Making friends and not getting eaten by bugs. It's a pretty good day.]
