While CERES' programmers work on getting it back up and running, all new entrees this round will be going through a different level than usual. Only a single world is accessible at the moment, a simple one entitled 'CERESLearn.' "What the $%@& is this?" you must be thinking. Well, it's simple! It's a study program, of course! CERES' advanced AI technology is here to make sure you learn and that you learn sexily. Whether or not you pay attention to the actual content is up to you, the player. Please enjoy it while it lasts. They're here to teach you a variety of subjects and also to make you feel vaguely uncomfortable all over. New arrivals and those logging into ViViD will first find themselves in a classroom with a new operator greeting them rather than Vidia. "Greetings and welcome to Cerealia! It's nice of you to join us at last. As you can see, we're just about to get started! Here are the instructions: ♥ Choose your subject of choice. They include things like medicine, math, CERES economics, CERES history, fun facts about Julius, engineering, and science! ♥ Choose your tutor. You can hire Astor, Hilda, or UN-Zippy ♥ They'll teach you slowly, deliberately, sensually. Then after that, they'll drill you hard and without stopping. ♥ Just when you think you've had enough, they'll quiz you all over until you're sweating and panting. ♥ For those of you who pass, you'll be welcomed well into Cerealia and be given a free voucher for a McCERES Mildly Content meal. //SCENARIOS.EXE PHASE I [ xxxx ] Once you choose your lesson and your tutor, you will be transported to a classroom where you and a few other players who decide to choose the same lesson will sit with your tutor after school, getting knowledge taught to you by someone who seems more intent on learning what's under your clothes than filling your head with knowledge. They will be awkwardly stretching, dropping pencils by 'accident' on the floor, and bending down slowly to pick them up. Certain things might be spilling out of their clothes. Awkward things. They will breathe down your neck and make sure you are well-versed in their anatomy by the end of the lesson. Fortunately, it won't last long as their bodies start to flicker erratically. PHASE II [ xxxx ] Just as things begin to escalate, the flickering will grow intense until your tutor will start to morph before your eyes. What takes their place is something that is anything but friendly. And yes, it will continue to breathe down your neck and speak in a sweet, soft, alluring voice while reaching out with its 'hands' to try and touch you. This will be your cue to run through the halls of the school while That Thing chases you in every single direction imaginable. There will be others joining you as everyone starts bolting out of their classrooms. PHASE III [ xxxx ] Feeling tired already? Well, don't stop and rest now! For those who successfully murder their own tutor, they will get their food voucher and a lovely welcome into CERES. You've officially passed! Everyone will be allowed to mingle around the game room in the CERES Research Tower before being directed into McCERES just across the street. For those who were already in the colony, you will also receive a voucher and directions to McCERES at the end of the game in case you want to go meet up with the newcomers there or just eat some artery-killing fast food. PHASE IV [ xxxx ] For those who get eaten by That Thing or don't pass their quizzes and upset their tutors, they will be forced to endure the Price of Failure. This means being sent to the gym with the other 'failures' to endure a painfully slow and erotic striptease by UN-Zippy. Once that is over, they will then be logged out and allowed to have their complimentary McCERES voucher. BONUS [ whyo'clock ] Congratulations on surviving CERESLearn! Here's your complimentary voucher for a free Mildly Content Meal at McCERES. This month's special is also the McKnight Burger. Characters are immediately invited to take a load off and enjoy some good ol' fashion fast food of questionable origin. [It doesn't take long for Rider to finish the beast. However it leaves her unsatisfied. Once gone it simply vanishes away, the existence even more ephemeral than that of a Servant. Still the danger is gone and that's what matters most.

So with that she turns back around and walks to where she pointed Shirou and Sakura to.]

[Shirou can't check if Rider beat the monster or not. It worries him a little, but there's no way Rider will lose. He's putting less thought into his actions because he's holding Sakura. Keeping her safe is the only thing that matters. A few minutes pass by. Shirou thinks Sakura's light and he didn't mind running with her all this way.

Even though he got this far with Sakura in his arms he's panicking because he wants to protect her so badly. When they arrive at the staircase he holds onto Sakura's hand tightly. Sakura can probably feel how tense he is from all of this.

He takes a deep breath and jumps down the staircase in a single leap.]

.....I'll work on my landing.

[He's positive he bruised something. Is it leave a mark? But no more importantly...]

Sakura, are you okay?

[springful]

[She grips his hand back, relieved but also...] I'm fine, but...

[Worried. Really worried. Worried to the point where her grip is probably a little painful from how tightly she's holding his hand.]

Senpai, please think about yourself next time! I'm grateful that you're protecting me, but I can run just fine. You probably hurt yourself landing just now, and I'll be even more worried if it's any worse! [The fact that she's scolding him like this while still in his arms probably dampens the effect a bit, but she's mad this time. She can carry her own weight (literally) when it comes to running, so if he ends up hurt while carrying her like this, she won't be able to forgive herself.]

[projections]

That's good. [He's not as tense anymore knowing Sakura's okay. Shirou's smiling like an idiot knowing she's fine. The moment he lets his guard down he feels Sakura gripping him tightly. What the fuck? That shit hurts. He winces for another reason entirely. Does she work out? Oh yeah, no. Sakura's part of the Archery club and that would explain where her strength is coming from and she's mad. That's not a good combination. ]

Sakura!! [Screams] Okay! Okay, I understand. [Welp.] I won't do something so reckless again. [Lies. LIES. MORE LIES.] It looks like I can't fool you with that landing. It's true, I hurt myself somewhere. Try to go easy on me.

[springful]

[Oh WHOOPS she didn't actually mean to grip his hand that hard... She lets go, a little embarrassed, but her point still stands!! As if Shirou could ever fool anyone with how reckless he is.]

As long as you understand. [Even if she knows he doesn't really...] We'll have to treat you after we get out of here, but you can put me down now. I don't think we'll have to run anymore.

[projections]

Sorry, I'll put you down. [Shirou lowers himself and puts Sakura closer to the floor. She can leave anytime she wants.] It's only a scratch, don't worry about it Sakura.

[That's another bluff. He doesn't even know how serious it might be. ]

Rider should be finished soon.

[And just a moment after he speaks Rider enters the stairwell and immediately notices Sakura and Shirou at the bottom of the stairs.]

That monster won't be a bother anymore. [She speaks as she walks down the stairs.] Sakura, are you unharmed?

[...And you too Shirou...why not.]

[Don't worry, she'll answer for them both...]

Yes, we're both alright. Thank you for saving us, Rider. [Does she really have to thank her when she's her Servant anyways?? Probably not, but she'll never stop being polite okay.]

[Shirou feels relief knowing that they're both safe. He's really grateful towards Rider. ]

Let me ask this question first: When did you change into your armor? I thought you were wearing normal clothes, Rider.

[The battle outfit bothers him more than it needs to tbh.]

Normal clothes? I've never worn anything but this Shirou. [She pauses for a long moment before she turns her head to Sakura.] Do you find something wrong with my outfit as well, Sakura?

[Do you humans have an issue with how she dresses??]

[SHIROU PLEASE.... Even if Sakura has the same question. Somehow it just sounds so insensitive when Shirou says it.]

No, there's nothing wrong with your clothes. It's just that... The last time I saw you, you were wearing different clothes. A black turtleneck and jeans. [This is starting to feel weird.] I was wondering when you changed, too.

You were wearing what Sakura described and you had a pair of glasses.

Hm...I'm a little disappointed you aren't wearing them now. [Shirou's trying to picture Rider wearing those things at this very moment. It suits her too well.]

Rider are you interested in trying normal clothes?

[Oh that's much different. Hm. It seems something in their memories does not match up with hers. That's disconcerting to know, but it's still Sakura and Shirou. She won't turn away from them despite these odd irregularities.]

I cannot say I would be interested, but...if we are to be here for a while, it may be necessary. However, the glasses you mentioned are impossible. Regular glass would not suffice in suppressing my eyes. If I am to wear glasses, they must be capable of nullifying the effect of my eyes.

That aside...I apologize, but I do not recall wearing what either of you described.

[springful]

[She could mention that they were Mystic Eye Killers, but considering that there's probably no way of getting them again here, it seems like a moot point. More worrying than that is when Rider says she doesn't remember. Sakura can't help but frown. There's something really strange going on here, and it makes her uneasy.]

What's the last thing you recall then, if I can ask?

...Shirou had asked me to take you and Rin Tohsaka to safety. He was planning to destroy the Grail after saving you.

[That's the easiest and simplest she can bear to put it. She knows Sakura was in a great deal of pain, could see from the way she acted when she first attacked Shirou and Rin. She knows because it's the same way she behaved after she ate her first human and realized she was stronger than anyone trying to steal her sisters away.]

That's— [She doesn't know what she was expecting Rider to say, but it definitely wasn't that. That was so long ago now (even if not that long ago at all, really). If she knew, she wouldn't have asked about it. None of them were really that comfortable with talking about it.

But at least she knew where they all stood now. She doesn't understand how it came to be, but it's something at least.]

... I'm not sure how, but that was in the past for me. We've been living together in Senpai's house for a while now.

[Shirou falls silent for a moment trying to process what Rider's saying. Back then he was so broken that he couldn't even remember Rider's name. He expresses his uneasiness by grimacing. That isn't a particularly fond memory for both him and Sakura.]

It had to be done. [ This is strange though. Why does Rider remember things differently? His memories match up more accurately with Sakura's. Despite this fact being true Shirou can still feel some gaps in his memory. What is he even forgetting?

...Sakura I--[He wanted to tell her that they'd be fine. That's all in the past now, but he just gave himself the worst headache imaginable.]

[Their reactions are what she expected and she stiffens at them, almost wishing the topic hadn't been breached. It doesn't matter to her in all honesty, as far as her lacking memory. The fact that Sakura is safe is enough for her. What she cares is that they care.]

Please, don't be concerned. It simply means I was summoned here from a different point in time than the two of you. It's no different than being summoned into the Grail War. That said, if wearing regular clothes would make you two more comfortable I will be willing to try it.

I suppose that's one way of looking at it... [Even if it still leaves a lot of questions, but really, there's a ton of questions already. Namely how any of them even got here, but. Honestly, Sakura's glad enough that she's not alone here. She gives a small smile.]

Oh, I'm fine with whatever you wear regardless. I agree with what Senpai said earlier though. You looked very beautiful in regular clothes.

If that's the case, I won't concern myself with it too much. [He pulls himself together and stops worrying. What's in the past is in the past. They have to focus on what's ahead of them.]

You have no objections to it? That's good then. Sakura should be able to find something nice for you.

[He's not qualified to look for women's clothes.]

[Sakura's comment catches her off-guard, not quite expecting to be called beautiful, but she tries to bounce back quickly.]

I'll leave it up to you then, Sakura. [She doesn't see the need to wear anything different in particular, other than for blending in purposes, but if Sakura and Shirou are insistent then there's no need to turn them down. At least she won't have to eat.] I suggest we save the rest of this discussion for another time. There may still be more enemies ahead.
