![]() ViViD's usual worlds are unfortunately down for maintenance. While CERES' programmers work on getting it back up and running, all new entrees this round will be going through a different level than usual. Only a single world is accessible at the moment, a simple one entitled 'CERESLearn.' "What the $%@& is this?" you must be thinking. Well, it's simple! It's a study program, of course! CERES' advanced AI technology is here to make sure you learn and that you learn sexily. Whether or not you pay attention to the actual content is up to you, the player. Please enjoy it while it lasts. They're here to teach you a variety of subjects and also to make you feel vaguely uncomfortable all over. New arrivals and those logging into ViViD will first find themselves in a classroom with a new operator greeting them rather than Vidia.

Welcome to CEREALIA's latest intro post. For your convenience, we have compiled a post detailing everyone's usual arrival experience (which is not entirely applicable this round for reasons stated above^) and a FAQ that should explain everything in more detail. Please read them thoroughly before playing. Thank you! |

He's going to ready his sword and well, charge straight in. That seems the most direct course, right? Nesso wields his weapon well, so even if the foe is new to him -- really new. He's never seen a giant bug before, so he's not entirely sure how to best take it down. But he'll manage it somehow. Right now he's aiming to disable it, take out some of its legs.] Be vigilant! I don't quite now what will be a lethal blow and what will simply make it angrier!
no subject
But he'll stand back and let captain swords over there do his thing, making sure not to be in the line of attack from either him or his freakish bug opponent. Once a few of its legs are out of commission, he risks a step closer, even with said bug flailing in an angry, freshly-injured way.]
If you aim for its head, that should be enough!
[He... he sure does already know that.]
no subject
The blond's idea is good though. Its head. That makes sense, now that he's got it at least a bit hobbled. So he does just that, throwing all his weight into the next blow to bring his blade slicing through the thick exoskeleton, striking true and sending a delightful little fountain of ichor up and into the hallway.
Another swifted stab in that same spot and it does indeed stop moving.]
no subject
But Oz will... well, actually, no - the gore is pretty gross and he still isn't used to that part at all, and he grimaces openly once the bug drops dead. There's still some vague admiration present, though!! People who can wield swords expertly and with Knightly Intent™ will always get an extra gold star sticker in his books.]
—Are you all right?
[is the bug dead for real... He's stepping his way closer, and the chains blocking the stairwell vanish as he moves.]
no subject
But at least Nesso will keep his priorities straight, doing his best to get that gore off his blade before he turns towards Oz with a grin.] Never better. You?
[He looks to be in one piece, right?] So... you're definitely more capable than you look. [Wait.] No offense. I just... you look unarmed.
[And small and squishy. Are you a witch, Oz? ARE YOU?]
no subject
At the statement, he offers a sheepish smile...]
Sorry for not explaining anything sooner, but it's kind of difficult to do that... [Like, no one needs to deal with BY THE WAY I CAN SUMMON WEIRD CHAINS AND SCYTHES right before going into battle!!] But I won't be a burden! I can fight or defend with my abilities - whatever you need.
[Reiterating again since he has PROOF this time. Proof that he's
a witchself-sufficient!]no subject
[One bug, down. No one else involved in it. Things are going well.] Let's see what we can find on this floor, find out if nayone else is here.
[Sound good? He'll keep his sword out though. Just in case. But umm, one question.] Are you a witch?
[Wizard? Whatever the gender appropriate term would be. His sister was recently accused of being a witch, which has him thinking of Fiona all over again.]
no subject
[He seems vaguely hopeful to hear that! AW YEAH being complimented on teamwork. Very little can top things like this, okay.
But he'll nod in agreement to that suggestion of casing the floor, keeping his guard up and preparing to set off. BUT THEN THERE'S THAT QUESTION, and he freezes up for a second before shaking his head. At least it's better than being asked if he's a grim reaper...]
Oh— no! No, I'm not a witch or anything like that.
no subject
[Very efficient for two guys who just ran into each other in a school hallway. He's starting down the hallway to, glancing over at the blond, nodding.]
I've never seen anything like it. But whatever it is, it seems you wield it well. [So he'll take that as a net win an go with it.]
no subject
—Thanks. [It's rare and a little bizarre to be complimented on his abilities like that, but Oz will TAKE IT with a smile.] Hopefully it won't come in handy more than this one time, though... [no more bugs please.
But with that, Oz glances down the hallway before looking back up at Nesso.] Should we pick up where we left off?
no subject
[Seriously. No more bugs would be excellent. They've got some searching and potential rescuing to do.]
Absolutely. Let's search as quickly as we can manage, just in case that commotion draws unfortunate attention.
no subject
We can split up the rooms, then. I'll check the ones on this side of the hall- [gesture!] -and you can check the ones on that side. Is that all right?
no subject
[Good plan, Oz. Divide and conquer! But don't get too far. Nesso will take off for his designated side, peeking into the room before stepping in proper, sword drawn. But nothing. Empty.
Onto the next one.]
no subject
[NO ISSUES THERE. Oz will work his way down his own line of rooms, making it to the end of the hall without any incident. What shockingly good luck...
Once he's done, he'll turn over to face Nesso, waiting near the hall's end.]
All of the rooms on this side are empty.
no subject
[Nesso is a little disappointed that there's no sign of Fiona, or well, any of Oz's friends and family too. He turns to face Oz.]
Maybe the others already fled... if anyone was up here to begin with.
[Fled or got eaten, but he's not sure he wants to deal with that last one right now.]
no subject
Mm, that might be the case... Let's try a couple more floors. If they're empty too, then maybe we should work on finding our way out.
no subject
He's quick to nod in agreement.] It's a sound strategy. Let's be quick. [A smile now, his best attempt at reassuring.] I'll go first.
[And yes, off he goes, still hopeful that they may find the people they're looking for. That hope won't last too long in his case, alas.]
no subject
Do you think covering one floor each would be too risky? If not, I can just head up one more.
[He's a little hesitant to put a whole floor of distance in between them though, just in case disaster strikes and they end up having to fend for themselves.]
