Who: abe no "i'm so gloomy now" sousei & all of you people

Where: Various, catch him wherever suits!
What: What do you do when your partner's gone missing? Do dumb things and check on all of his adopted children, naturally.
Rating/Warning: None!

a. open - around the shopping district;

[At first, he didn't really think anything was wrong. Tenka going missing was naturally concerning, but he could've been at work, or the like. But as the day drags on and he doesn't show up, Sousei actually picks up his phone to call him.

User not Registered.

That's...that's very bad. Don't mind Sousei just standing in the middle of the sidewalk staring down at the CereVice in his hand.

At least, until he snaps back into action, turns abruptly, and starts going in the other direction. Too bad he didn't look where he was going first, hopefully his abrupt stop and equally abrupt direction change didn't cause any traffic jams.

Otherwise he can be found poking his head into shops and through alleyways and possibly even opening up and peering into trash cans. What does he think he's going to find there? Who knows. He has to give it a try, though. Even if he does look ridiculous with a trash can lid held over his head.]

b. open - gym;

[And as it drifts into the next day with still no Tenka, Sousei has to admit what he very much doesn't want to--namely that Tenka's gone, and they have no idea if he'll come back or anything. The city has only just started to run properly again after that entire ghost scare; still, it's hard to really appreciate that when it's becoming starkly obvious that everything is not quite right now.

Which is why he can be found in the gym even before his shift begins, practicing. It's good to practice. It's a good way to stay fit, and sharp, which is necessary after that entire fiasco.

Of course, he may be taking this a little too far, as the time drags on into hours and his breathing comes in short, sharp pants. He should probably take a break, but it doesn't seem like it's all too likely right now.]

c. semi-open: to tenka's close cr/people he adopted/etc;

[If Tenka knew you or was trying to take care of you or wanted to help you in some way or was even just amused by you, chances are he told Sousei. And now, as it edges into the third and four and fifth day and still no sign of Tenka coming back, he has to admit that that's probably the case. It had taken Soramaru two weeks to come back, so it isn't as though there isn't hope--but even so, he can't leave this for two weeks.

So he goes to perform his Not Fun Dad duties (which, for the record, he never signed up for). So if Tenka knew your address, he'll be awkwardly knocking on your door, or if he otherwise sees you around the city, he'll be approaching.

Awkwardly.

Sorry if you've never met him before, but he has a Duty to perform, and that duty is looking out for Tenka's gigantic swarm of adoptees and making sure they're all okay after that entire ViViD and technological fiasco.]

Excuse me.

[Don't mind him. He's just a little more Awkward than Tenka--and he's a little tired, though it's hard to tell from his face.]

[ Kousetsu doesn't look like he really believes that reply but he says nothing of the fact. Instead he will nod his head with that usual grave and serious look on his face. ]

...yes I will be sure to do that. [ But he probably won't, in all honesty. Sousei has enough to worry about right now so Kousetsu is going to make sure he doesn't add on to the already stressful situation anymore than he needs to. He'll stand up then bowing a little as he heads towards the door. ]

What of Tenka-san's brothers? ...are they aware of what has happened?

[These two are too similar for their own good, when it comes down to it. Regardless, Sousei is satisfied with the answer for now. He nods simply and slowly, crossing his arms.]

...They are aware. It would do neither of them good to keep it from them.

[He's not Tenka; he doesn't try to support people hiding from the truth.]

They are taking it as well as can be expected.

...I see. It is...hard to lose one's family while here in this place. I will try to do whatever I can to make it easier for them as well. [ Kousetsu frowns as he looks back at Sousei. ]

Is there a chance that he will return?

...There is a chance, yes. It has happened before.

[There is always hope. Even if slim, even if unlikely.]

I do not know if it will happen or not. [Another pause, and he shakes his head.] Regardless, thank you for looking after Soramaru and Chuutarou.

[They're what's most important right now.]

I will do my best to treat them as if they are my own brothers. [ He nods in affirmation to his own statement. ]

...it will be hard for them in the next few days. [ Overcoming that lose is no easy feat, he's sure, even if these emotions he has are not exactly ones he's used to having. ]

I will also work extra to make up for the credits Tenka-san was bringing home.

[ Kousetsu is all about working hard so this is something he is easily able to do. ]

[The...credits.... ah. Sousei snorts vaguely at that under his breath.]

There's no need to concern yourself with that. We have more than enough; what you are contributing is fine. [After all, it's not like Tenka always worked that hard, and he splurged most of what he earned on buying his friends or whoever needed the pick-me-up that day free drinks.

They just were lucky and had more than enough money from their less than lucky arrival.]

...I see. [ Well he's still gonna worry but that's just how Kousetsu rolls. ] ...I will pray for Tenka's safe return in the meantime. It is not...fair to take him away from his family without proper goodbyes being said.

[ Kousetsu can't forgive Ceres for that in particular. ]

I have not heard this happening to many people here. Is it...a random occurrence?

[Without proper goodbyes......... yes, he supposes that is one of the problems. Would a proper goodbye help? He's not sure.

He managed to make space for a proper goodbye before, and that had truly not helped at all in the end.]

It seems to be. I have seen some of the people here disappear, and there are not many left from even when Tenka and I arrived.

...it is strange that they would send us away when we are supposed to fight for them. [ It doesn't make any sense to him. Still all this talk about leaving and goodbyes makes his mood just a bit more dour. It can't be helping Sousei's current state either. How careless of him to carry on like this. He feels somewhat guilty even if Sousei isn't showing any problems with discussing it. He'll bow his head at Sousei then. ]

...I am sorry. We should not be talking about such things right now. [ It wasn't in good taste. ]

I was going to make some tea...would like some, Sousei-san?

[... Well. He won't deny that after a long day of telling people that Tenka is gone, he would rather not talk about the situation.

So when Kousetsu gives him a graceful way out, he takes it.]

... Yes, please. I would appreciate that.

[They can pick something harmless during tea.]

[ Kousetsu nods silently as he goes out into the kitchen then. They could talk about something else, yes, too bad they're both pretty horrible at small talk?! He'll set up the tea pot and everything before looking back at the other.

Kousetsu is content to sit in silence however...but it's probably not the exact thing Sousei is looking for. So go random conversation starter, maybe?! ]

...I have found a place in the market that makes good dango. [ And here he'll go and fetch the box out of the fridge. ]

...if you would like some, Sousei-san, you are free to have them.

[are you trying to comfort feed him, kousetsu

tenka will get back and sousei will be fat--

But no, Sousei arches an eyebrow at that, before shaking his head.]

I do not want to take your dango from you. Please, feel free to enjoy it yourself. [and he's admittedly not one for sweets.]

Though I appreciate the offer, tea will be enough.

[ Maybe he is trying to comfort feed him, don't judge. Kousetsu is just used to giving Sayo sweets and the like when he's down. But they were also good with tea, so maybe it's just out of habit?! It cheers up the tiny tantou at least. He somewhat frowns before nodding in acknowledgment at Sousei's choice. ]

It is...almost ready. [ He will actually take a stick of said dango for himself then. Another few moments before the tea kettle starts to squeal as the water boils. He'll remove it than pour it into two mugs, handing one to Sousei. ]

[He accepts the mug quietly, wrapping his fingers around it and relishing in the warmth, if nothing else. It's...nice. If nothing else, the smell of tea made traditionally like this, the warmth of the cup...this is all familiar, no matter how far from home they are.]

[After a moment of staring at the cup, he shakes off any and all morbid thoughts, coming back to himself.]

Do you like sweets, Kousetsu? [he was unaware....]

[ He sits across from the other taking a sip of his tea before he begins to eat. Sweets were something he wasn't particular fond of, no, but he didn't dislike them either. ]

...yes. If it is not too terribly sweet. [ He'll just nibble on the second piece now while he watches Sousei. ]

Sousei-san...you do not like sweets then?

[Sousei shakes his head simply, sipping his tea.]

I do not dislike them, but nor do I like them.

[He's totally ambivalent...]

But I will be certain to remember that. [It seems the majority of the household like sweets, so...he can bring some home.

It won't fix things, but it might help.]

[ Well they're both ambivalent about things so Kousetsu can't even argue with him there. Still he nods, making sure to remember that.

In a similar vein he kinda understands where Sousei is coming from so he definitely gets what he's thinking. ]

...it might be nice to share them with Haru-san and the others. [ The sweets he means. ]

[That gets a nod from Sousei, simple and agreeing.]

Does Kure enjoy sweets? [He's a little curious about the saniwa they're all so fond of, okay. While he's met Haru himself, there's a lot he doesn't know.]

Haru-san...

[ He gives pause as he thinks on that. There's a nod from him as he remembers something recently. ]

...yes he does. He made us cupcakes in celebration for his birthday. They were...very good. [ Kousetsu is actually getting more accustomed to sweets and they're not half bad, really. ]

... I see. I was simply curious.

[Cupcakes, huh... Milla had brought some over that one time too. He supposes it doesn't hurt at all to have some sweets every now and then, even if he's not that partial to them usually.]

If you wish to buy or make more of them, Chuutarou is fond of sweets as well. He will help you eat them.

...then if it is permissible I will do so. Perhaps it will help...raise his spirits. [ And cooking actually might help take his mind off of things, maybe?! ]

Yes... perhaps it will.

[He's most concerned about Chuutarou and Soramaru, naturally. They've lost their big brother before, and losing him again was not easy in any way.]
