Who: Masamune Date
dragonofoushuu (the shorter, louder one) & Vietnam
hoasen
When: IC: January 25th afternoon, (24th July in yo real world)
Where: Vietnam's apartment.
What: Masamune is doing work as a detective, and Vietnam is his troubled(?) client.
Rating/Warning: PG for possible dark content? Or yelling cos someone stubs a nail? The fact her apartment looks like a beach resort room is offensive (I know it's frustrating)
[It was only just after work for her, when she returned to her apartment. Vietnam had done the groceries for the evening, and set them aside (into the pantry, into the refrigerator) before making plans for dinner.
But before that, she had to set a pot of tea and lay out some snacks. After all, she had a guest. Well, a guest she'll be paying in the future, but nonetheless, she must show herself as the perfect host. For once, it was difficult to do so, only because of the nature of this visit. Thoughts crossed her mind, and they proved to be a distraction. Where were the others right now? America sent her a text through another once, and it said that he knew he was going to go. Russia disappeared, and now Taiwan is gone. It is because of the code that they are able to live. Yet there are still thinks that didn't quite add up.
She didn't realise she poured the water away from the pot and nearly panicked, but fortunately managed to wipe the hot water away. Well it's a good thing it wasn't completely scalding (that is, should it splash on her hand while she was using the cloth, it will just heal). Mess cleaned up, and she resumed. Deities, she really needed to get her act together before Date Masamune arrived.]

And that's how Date Masamune announces his arrival in the most subtle fashion ever. Even if he had his horse and his cavalry behind him, chances are they won't fit in the house. Besides, subtlety was something he needed to practice if he wanted to succeed in this job.
It isn't even two seconds when he decides to knock again, louder and more repetitively.]
Vietnam! Are you in?
no subject
Yes, I am coming!
[And goes to open the door. If he looks in, the interior to her home is rather different to the corridors of the apartment blocks; she's purchased the holoGM products to fashion it into something similar to a hotel room at a beach resort. Earthy, rather relaxing. Essential in such a stressful place.
She looks up. He's much taller than she thought, the video lied.]
Hello, Date Masamune? Please, come in. [And she moves aside to give him space.]
no subject
[Woah. Appearances do lie. What looks like a mundane communal residence is a luxurious tropical suite in Nha Trang (she would probably know as a part of her with the most glamorous beachside hotels) once the door is opened.
Even the lord of Sendai is stunned for a second as he walks in slowly. Maybe he'll reconsider re-decorating sometime soon.]
This is a nice-looking place.
[He's just going to let his eye wander for a moment.]
no subject
She's actually pleased that he approves, since all guests must be comfortable!]
Thank you, it took some effort to purchase the holograms that I liked, but it looked like it was worth it. Please, make yourself comfortable, I will bring out some tea?
no subject
COME TO VIETNAM, RAKE IN MORE CASHIt's a mentality the Date lord can agree with. Nothing says confidence like a well-furnished castle, or apartment in this case. He acts to impress, and leave people speechless.]
Holograms, huh.
Thanks. You don't need to give me much, besides I came here to talk about business anyways.
no subject
THAT'S HER DREAM!!! $$$$$Exactly! Although her humble ways make her rather shy. She'll understand this though, face is also everything to a lord, or a country. (And that explains why his swords look stylish. Even the angry one.)]
Yes, these are all generated, but it works well...
And you're welcome. It is fine though, since you are still going out of your way to do this. [And there she goes, disappearing into the kitchen to fetch the pot of tea and snacks, a plate of almond cookies. Once she brings it out, she puts it on the table.]

₫₫₫₫Image is what defined most warlords back then. Helmets, armour, of course swords were also tell-tale of their own personalities.
He did bring his own, just in case. It's neither of the three that Vietnam would know though.]
I should invest in some of these myself.
Thanks. Don't mind if I help myself then.
[Like the refined daimyo he is, he enjoys his tea and sweets silently and neatly.
And not threatening anyone with a sword.]no subject
LORD EVEN MORE LEGITThat explains why he's so flashy! He pretty much is oozing with confidence.
And seeing more weapons is still interesting, even if they don't talk (sometimes, it's easier that they don't...right...)]
I can recommend you places that sell them at a more affordable price. Or if you have any particular look you'd like for your apartment.
But yes, please enjoy!
[She even pours his tea out for him! It sure is different having refined company!
SHHHHH no one needs to know...yet.]no subject
insert dong joke hereFlashiness has saved his life twice. Hideyoshi tends to be more forgiving if you apologize to him carrying a huge golden cross.
Kuronbou Kagehide. It'll be nice if he could come to life.]
Ah, I'll appreciate that.
But anyways, I should probably get down to business. First things first, tell me about your friend, and the last time you saw them.
[Can't let himself get lost in idle chatter, Kojuurou would not approve and never will.
He brought stationery and a small notepad, even though he could probably record it down on the CereVice. Some things were just meant to be done old-school.
Ask CCP]no subject
the value...of dong (wow)Now that's a story worth sharing, but it would probably have to be another day while they're not working!
Imagine that poor sword meeting his sword bros...unless he's like CCP 2.0 then Ookurikara would just want to die.]
Yes, my friend...her name is Taiwan, she's just a little bit shorter than me. Long wavy hair, and has a strange curl that cannot be missed. I saw her just after the assassinations, but then I couldn't contact her again unless the system was going down.
[Kojuuro, looking after him in spirit. HOW NICE. And seriously, he really can use his CereVice, not that she minds. She used to carry a notebook around with her all the time too, until recently, being here.
IS IT BECAUSE IT'S STYLISH.]no subject
shotThere's a lot more he can share, some of which have already been recorded into books, but nothing beats hearing from the man itself.
The very first of the Date swords. Pretty much the senpai to those three losers.]
Taiwan. Long wavy hair, strange curl.
Wait, assassinations?
[Every detail needs to be taken down. It's not like he doesn't know how to use it, just that putting things down in black and white was how they did their recordings even in the sixteenth to seventeenth century. The muscle memory was comforting, and not having his own writing fade out as a hologram was a form of security.
Kojuuro was dormant in the code. Maybe one day...
Mitsutada was christened Shokudaikiri on one of those angry episodes, so...]no subject
totally worth itExactly!! And what do countries like best anyway? Listening to stories straight from the source.
Poor senpai though...having to deal with losers.]
Yes! You may see her a lot in her signature colour, which is light pink.
And the political assassinations. Though they never gave us the answer to why Julius Vincere has been taken down, I would treat it as a political assassination.
[It's an old habit that shouldn't die, really. Writing does seem to be safer than using the devices, after the electricity scare. Date Masamune might be on the right track here.
One day...there to boss them all around...thanks Kojuuro.
Mitsutada's stylish life all started thanks to Masamune's angry outburst. MASAMUNE PLS.]no subject
Who knows? Maybe it was four losers.]
I don't know much about the higher-ups here, or much of who was there before that old hag killed him and took over.
Do you think your friend may have been involved somehow?
[He has to ask the tough questions. At least no one can pull the plug off a good old notepad. (stay away from water, fire, sharp things, etc.)
It sure beats loneliness, and imagine the look on his face when he sees the swords with human bodies.
Thank Masamune for everything.]no subject
Four losers actually sounds about right...]
I didn't either. Those who were here before me would have more information, I believe.
[She shakes her head.] She only just arrived. There was no way she could've been involved in such a short time.
[It's okay, she's been in politics AND in war! Tough questions doesn't even deter her. And...yeah aside from those mishaps, it'll be fine, thanks notepad!
Especially with Date's new sword friends. God.
Masamune, you wonder why they have a few complexes.]no subject
Five, if you count Taikogane Sadamune.]
I see. When was the last time you contacted her? Did she give out any information on where she could have gone?
[War, communism, literally getting split in two? Yeesh.
He's a good master]no subject
Poor Sada-chan...off to deal with stupid adult grandpas...]
It was just after the announcement. I left her a box of weapons, though I never thought we would need them so soon. I saw her briefly after since we were neighbours-- [She looks over to the wall, the side where Taiwan lived.] but after that, I never heard from her again.
[Exactly, it takes an iron wall to deal with that, even though she's socially A Mess.
Guess he's...kakkoi.]no subject
Mitsutada is still looking, sadly Masamune did not bring him over.
He glances over to the wall. If he could get in somehow, he would be able to start searching for clues.
A box of weapons too? Geez, what a thoughtful neighbour. Though, he would not trust anyone enough to hand them a box of weapons personally, except Kojuurou of course. Since weapons are only good for the one thing they're made for... ]
I see. Is there a way I can get into her house? I wouldn't advise you to hand a weapon stash over to anyone, chances are some people might use them against your friend.
[Countries are tough, man.
He's a Date otoko after all.]no subject
Poor fake dad...
And sure, why not give her a box of weapons! It's the best because she got Hello Kitty ones especially for Taiwan. Only the coolest sisters would do that. Masamune, pls. Do it for family (wait).]
Well, I was able to before, and I did try looking, but I'm not sure how long I will be able to get you in. Someone else will move in soon? And ah, I know what you mean, so I thank you for your concern. But when it comes to battle, you need not worry about her and weapons.
[Because she's also a tough country! Tiny fake!human bodies dealing with all this crap throughout the years.
Date, the first date otoko...]no subject
Hello Kitty weapons. What a time to live in. Thank god he wasn't dragged over from the Warriors Orochi universe and their infamous gag weapons featuring roses, fluffy neko rods and ACTUAL DONUTS.]
Huh. I figure as soon as possible would be the best. If anything fishy did happen to her, there's bound to be something telltale in her residence.
[Documents that might suggest a conspiracy, stolen goods? Something along that line.
And from what she implies, a fighter. SUSPICIOUS
The one but now not the only]no subject
And you bet. OH NO THOUGH see, the neko rods would've made him EVEN COOLER. Donut needs the donuts.]
You're right. Let's see if we can get in.
[Though it probably would look like an untouched apartment, what a mystery... She's sure about Taiwan's lack of involvement, but if anyone planted anything in there...
And wow, Masamune!!!
Let's party...]no subject
He only has normally cool weapons though there is that one pistol that looked suspiciously like a bird flute but other than it's cool names and cooler weapons.]
Let's go.
[He's heading for the exit, and he has his weapons readied.
Yes he might blast down the door. Masamune's new to the job.]
no subject
And then she nods and follows after him! Once they get to the hallway, she points to the door that is meant to be Taiwan's.]
There it is.
[She suspects nothing.]
no subject
A very obvious-looking policeman.]
Do you have a key?
[Aka do I have to blow down the door?]
no subject
Ah, let me see if it works.
[Time to open the door because she still can access it...well it's empty right now so maybe--
click!]
I'M SO SORRY MY INBOX ATE THIS
I'll go first.
[He still has a gun and he's ready to use it.]
