[ The broadcast comes bright and early for those paying attention to their CereVices; the man who appears on the screen is strikingly pale, white-haired and piercingly blue-eyed. He looks young, no more than nineteen or twenty and he's dressed in a crisp black and white suit. He stares into the screen for a long moment, long enough to be, frankly, just a bit uncomfortable.▶ ACTION.EXE | IC: 1/26
And then white eyelashes blink and an awkward, unsure smile spreads across his face. He lifts a hand to fix his tie and speaks. ]
This is Mosley.
[ The smile drops, leaving him with a blank expression once again. ]
CERES has decided in a show of good faith to open our doors to you. I have been given the task of, [ He lifts his hands to emphasize with air quotes. ] "being your tour guide." If that is what I must do, so be it. The lazy worm does not get the apple, after all.
[ He looks down at the tablet on his desk, giving it a few taps and suddenly an icon appears on the bottom right hand of the video. ]
That link will bring you to a listing to make an appointment. You will be given a time. Show up promptly or do not, it is no matter to me. The tour will leave ten minutes after your given time and that will be that. Tours will only last a few hours so you needn't worry about the rest of your day. You will certainly return home in time to catch the latest episode of [ Air quotes again. ] "Banana is the New Black." I hear there's going to be a cliffhanger!
[ A pause and he looks oddly thoughtful. ]
I suppose you could also steal it off the internet? [ Blank again. ] Which would be wrong. Our lawyers will contact you if you do that. Do not.
[ And then another of those awkward smiles before quickly turning into something a bit startled and he taps his tablet again, ending the video. Replies to this feed have been disabled, unfortunately. Seems like someone isn't feeling very chatty. It's a miracle. ]
[ The next day, that Monday, those who take Mosley up on his offer will find that him standing there right in front of the main CERES office building, waiting. It’s with that same disconcerting smile that he unlocks the door and ushers them in.
Welcome, all of you, to our lovely CERES!
The group will find themselves standing in a lobby. Clean white walls and floors, a bright blue rug leading towards the elevators on the far wall, and a white reception counter. At the counter are two CERES robots answering calls and directing any visitors (though the lobby seems quite empty today) and on the wall behind them is a hologram of the CERES logo for all to see. Mosley stands in the center of the carpet in his usual suit and claps his hands together, putting on a smile. ]
Welcome to CERES.
[ And then the smile drops. Voice flat, he continues. ]
There has been... talk over the past few months that we at CERES have not been working 24/7 to help you, our clientele, return to your homes safely and soundly. There has also been... talk that we do not do anything. That this entire company is a farce, which is honestly quite hurtful to both me and the other hardworking staff at this company. Mr. Vincere had his way of running this place but Ms. Recreare is fond of a more hands on approach. We want to share that approach with you.
[ He spreads his hands to indicate to the building around them. ]
CERES has many fingers in many jars and they've all been sealed tight for a while. We would like to open those jars. So once again, welcome to CERES and please follow me.
[ After that, Mosley turns and begins to lead the group off. ]

There is no tagging order, so feel free to tag in whatever way works best for you as a group.
The tours will technically last 3 hours icly, but that may change as ic events happen; oocly, the threads will last as long as necessary, though Mosley will come and collect your characters if they are moseying around too long! There will be mod involvement in each of the tours.
If there are any questions, feel free to ask them here. You are welcome to plot with your groupmates by using the ooc top level comments linked above. Thank you!

Can fight, do not worry. And can kill. [Because if there's one thing she's learned, there's a difference between those who are willing to fight and those who are willing to kill.] Would be easier if there is water nearby. If we can lure monsters to water, can easily take care of them.
[That much she's certain of, at least; in the water she's confident she has no equal. its the out of water part where things get iffy. But hey! Stabbing! She's got that down.
...And then the giant puppy appears. Oona stops short, expression a comical mix of shock, confusion, and disappointment. Well it is sorta cute, and she blurts out:]
Can we keep it?
[Probably not, but riding a giant puppy into battle sounds awesome] Is it wise to turn backs to it...?
no subject
assuming it lets them. ]
Don't see why not. If you want to be its friend, I won't stop you.
[ cinder steps closer to the dog, gauging whether it believes that they won't do anything to harm it. despite its cuddly appearance, she has to wonder whether or not if they touch it. it'll suddenly transform. well, in that case, cinder will be bestowed the fight she was deprived of so she nods towards oona. showcasing in her approval both in a "you can be the one to pet it first and risk losing that hand" kind of a way and an "i appreciate you asking for my permission". ]
Let's just hope it doesn't bite.
[ she says, quietly hoping it does. ]
no subject
Quizzical puppy head tilts, if nothing else. ]
no subject
Perhaps it has owner? Does it have a collar? [She carefully holds out her hand, palm down and wrist limp to try and give off a 'means no harm' vibe. Actually, now that she thinks about it, an owner is a good thing to be worried about.]
If it has owner, the owner is probably even bigger, yes? That could be true problem. [She wishes she really understood the concept of baby talk, but she makes a kissing noise towards the dog anyhow]
Come here, come here... We're friendly, promise...
no subject
Too bad it's 3 times too big for that.
You might want to look out or risk getting crushed by a puppy.
There's no collar to be found, though; it seems to be completely alone. ]
no subject
that's a joke, though. whatever irritation she feels is unapparent in her expression as she distances herself from a feet or so from them. cinder watches in scrutiny as the beast charges, wondering if that's enough of a sign that it will obey and/or befriend them.
now that they know it likes oona, maybe the they should backflip onto its back and ride off into the town??? cinder still isn't sure if oona has been trampled on or is already doing that. she squints and only notices the lack of a collar which seems to answers oona's previous questions. ]
no subject
Oona yelps and scrambles away, waving her hands in an attempt to get the puppy to pay attention] Ah, sit! Sit! Lay down!
[She doubts this puppy knows basic commands, but thank god for inhuman reflexes. She can't help but laugh though, pleased despite the trampling attempts.] Ah, it is cute! Tour is not so bad after all!
Ah, wonder if we can take it out of here... [Oona no. Running rampant through the streets of the city on a giant puppy is probably not advised.]
no subject
For what it's worth, it seems friendly enough and interested in them, without having an intentions of attacking. ]
no subject
[ from where she's standing, the dog glowingly seems to be obedient to them. or at least, too oona. she strolls towards it, her hand extended as she dares to place a hand against its fur. it's like feeling up a skyscraper that's just made up of shaggy fur thick as pillars. she wonders if it can sense her touch, given how their substantial size difference until she's standing by oona's side. ]
We could try taking it into town, however. We should meet up with others now that I think we're done here.
[ politely, affably; she makes eye contact with the dog again. while neither of them know the protocol when it comes to communicating with giants of the canine variety, it seems to understand the gist of it. with one hand, she points towards the mountainside and with the other, she makes a motion like she's ushering it towards there. hopefully, however, without mistaking it as a request to trample over them again... ]
Would you like that? [ she steps to the side, just in case, though. ] Would you like to go for a walk?
no subject
Oona backs away a little to watch Cinder and the puppy, before nodding encouragingly.] Ah,yes, a walk! Come, come! [She gestures for the puppy to follow as she starts walking a few steps backwards to see if it'll follow.
She can't wait to see the look on the others' faces when they come back with a giant puppy in tow.]
no subject
You have acquired +1 giant puppy.
What now? ]
no subject
cinder considers allowing it to follow at their heels the way one normally commands their beast. but one step from this dog is equivalent to the span of that of a football field. while cinder is confident she'd be able keep up, even she would have trouble maintaining the stamina required. especially in shoes as high as these. nor does she fully know the capabilities of oona's own athleticism. yeah, this dog is already proving to be more trouble than it will be worth. especially when it'll end up need to relieve itself... hopefully not.
looking remiss, cinder turns to face oona defers all puppy related responsibilities onto her. which includes walking it and being the first to dare attempt her eventual suggestion. ]
It would be easier if it had a leash but for now... [ stares up at it, trying to peer the top of its head down to its neck, shoulders then back. ] Do you think you could reach that height? If we could ride it, it would cut our traveling distance in half.
[ not that the distance from the midpoint to the dog's location had been an especially long one. still. how do ants intend to lead a giant? ]
no subject
She also doesn't notice that Cinder seems to be leaving the responsibility of the puppy up to her, but she eyes where Cinder seems to be looking and tilts her head this way and that as she thinks.] Can not jump so high. Climb, maybe.
Eh... Puppy! [This thing needed a name, but that could come later. Oona waves her hands a bit to get its attention] Lay down! Lay down? [It hadn't seemed to notice commands like 'sit' either, so Oona just starts making 'lay down' gestures and trying to mime it out in the hopes the puppy will get the right idea.]
If it does not work, could lead it to tree. Climb on tree, get on its back? [And hope it doesn't suddenly learn the 'roll over' command.]
no subject
He can bark, he's good at barking. ]
no subject
cinder makes her way to the base of the dogs feet and places her hands out, one on top of the other. ]
You know, I could throw you up there.
[ she says with all seriousness. ]
no subject
Cinder looks serious about it. While skeptical, it's the only option they seem to have.] ...Fine. Be ready. [So she sighs and gives herself a running start to jump on Cinder's offered hands. HERE GOES NOTHING....]
no subject
no subject
So it should be much easier for Cinder to get on, at least, luckily.
The puppy yaps, docile enough. ]
no subject
She manages to hold back a yelp of alarm and clings to the puppy for a moment, waiting to see if it'll start trying to buck her off or something. When it does, she sits up and gets comfortable, looking around.]
Ah. It worked!
[She pets and scratches gently at the dog's fur] Good puppy! [Who's a good puppy YOU ARE...]
no subject
A glitch of sorts.
Rather, as they go, the dog morphs and shifts underneath them, until it has become something just as large, but not quite so cute and puppy-like.
There's a snarl from beneath them. ]
no subject
it's only when the dog transitions from fluffy and white to a shadowy, gnarling figure that cinder can finally finds this ordeal semi-worthwhile. cute as this all was, now they were getting somewhere. too bad the rest of the group seemed to be dealing with a new problem judging by their figures over the hill.
cinder doesn't really give oona time to process what's happening and grabs her by the hand. ]
Off. Now.
no subject
Her happy expression falls quickly and she makes a confused "Bwuh?" noise as Cinder grabs her hand, reacting to the command before she has time to think about it.]
What happened to the puppy!? [Seriously this is an outrage. Oona came out here to have a good time and she's feeling so attacked right now.]
no subject
The clock struck midnight and our carriage turned into a hell-hound. If you don't want to become dog food, I suggest you brace yourself.
[ because cinder pulls her towards the ground, meaning yes. they're about to leap off of it. hopefully as soon as they touch base (and don't break any bones during their free fall), they can make a run for it and leave it behind. oona should be glad cinder didn't decide it efficient to kill it while they were at it. maybe it'll turn back to being toilet paper commercial cute if she's lucky. ]
no subject
In fact, it'll give chase all the way to the boss battle, should they so choose to do so.
Which is probably a good idea, because the closer they get to Kyouko and Zero, the harder it will be for them to breathe, fingers, bodies and code also beginning to fritz along the edges.
And, of course, there's a giant monster to contend with. ]
