[ The broadcast comes bright and early for those paying attention to their CereVices; the man who appears on the screen is strikingly pale, white-haired and piercingly blue-eyed. He looks young, no more than nineteen or twenty and he's dressed in a crisp black and white suit. He stares into the screen for a long moment, long enough to be, frankly, just a bit uncomfortable.▶ ACTION.EXE | IC: 1/26
And then white eyelashes blink and an awkward, unsure smile spreads across his face. He lifts a hand to fix his tie and speaks. ]
This is Mosley.
[ The smile drops, leaving him with a blank expression once again. ]
CERES has decided in a show of good faith to open our doors to you. I have been given the task of, [ He lifts his hands to emphasize with air quotes. ] "being your tour guide." If that is what I must do, so be it. The lazy worm does not get the apple, after all.
[ He looks down at the tablet on his desk, giving it a few taps and suddenly an icon appears on the bottom right hand of the video. ]
That link will bring you to a listing to make an appointment. You will be given a time. Show up promptly or do not, it is no matter to me. The tour will leave ten minutes after your given time and that will be that. Tours will only last a few hours so you needn't worry about the rest of your day. You will certainly return home in time to catch the latest episode of [ Air quotes again. ] "Banana is the New Black." I hear there's going to be a cliffhanger!
[ A pause and he looks oddly thoughtful. ]
I suppose you could also steal it off the internet? [ Blank again. ] Which would be wrong. Our lawyers will contact you if you do that. Do not.
[ And then another of those awkward smiles before quickly turning into something a bit startled and he taps his tablet again, ending the video. Replies to this feed have been disabled, unfortunately. Seems like someone isn't feeling very chatty. It's a miracle. ]
[ The next day, that Monday, those who take Mosley up on his offer will find that him standing there right in front of the main CERES office building, waiting. It’s with that same disconcerting smile that he unlocks the door and ushers them in.
Welcome, all of you, to our lovely CERES!
The group will find themselves standing in a lobby. Clean white walls and floors, a bright blue rug leading towards the elevators on the far wall, and a white reception counter. At the counter are two CERES robots answering calls and directing any visitors (though the lobby seems quite empty today) and on the wall behind them is a hologram of the CERES logo for all to see. Mosley stands in the center of the carpet in his usual suit and claps his hands together, putting on a smile. ]
Welcome to CERES.
[ And then the smile drops. Voice flat, he continues. ]
There has been... talk over the past few months that we at CERES have not been working 24/7 to help you, our clientele, return to your homes safely and soundly. There has also been... talk that we do not do anything. That this entire company is a farce, which is honestly quite hurtful to both me and the other hardworking staff at this company. Mr. Vincere had his way of running this place but Ms. Recreare is fond of a more hands on approach. We want to share that approach with you.
[ He spreads his hands to indicate to the building around them. ]
CERES has many fingers in many jars and they've all been sealed tight for a while. We would like to open those jars. So once again, welcome to CERES and please follow me.
[ After that, Mosley turns and begins to lead the group off. ]

There is no tagging order, so feel free to tag in whatever way works best for you as a group.
The tours will technically last 3 hours icly, but that may change as ic events happen; oocly, the threads will last as long as necessary, though Mosley will come and collect your characters if they are moseying around too long! There will be mod involvement in each of the tours.
If there are any questions, feel free to ask them here. You are welcome to plot with your groupmates by using the ooc top level comments linked above. Thank you!

[The first two don't sound too particularly interesting... or at least they sound like they're more about the planet than about CEREs. Whatever these 'elementals' are, it sounds more likely to be something vital.]
no subject
[ just why ]
...Was that really necessary?
[ Which is said to Phoenix, then Break sighs as he directs his gaze nowhere in particular, since as long as they're focused on the computer, he's personally at a bit of a loss to be helpful. ]
"Elementals" seems as good a place to start as any, so we may as well.
no subject
[At least he's nothing if not used to people yelling. His family can get...pretty loud.]
[But alright, Elementals it is! Just going to double click that icon and see what this is all about.]

Water: Impossible to find, though we have heard of their existence. We know they are capable of breathing underwater, so perhaps that is where they live.
Fire: Troublesome. The easiest to find to negotiate with, but they do not seem to want any of the things we have to offer. Occasionally breathe fire when excited/angered.
Air: Necessary for the atmosphere, which is not breathable. They seem to live to the North of here, though they have been difficult to find to negotiate with.
Earth: The easiest to negotiate with thus far. They seem to be pliant to new ideas when suggested in the right way. They seem to have an unerring sense of direction in locating things.
The document continues on, if he should choose to scroll.
Behind them, there's an odd thud noise, muffled as if covered up or in the distance. ]
no subject
I know, I know, I'm sorry... [He murmured as Kuzuryuu did his clicking. You'd think none of these people have ever been in a real courtroom before.
Then, as the screen pulls up, Phoenix walks over to peer over Kuzyuryuu's sholder at the screen.]
It seems to be different kind of groups. Of people maybe? ...Who breathe fire... [He blinks, wondering if he just heard something in the distance. Maybe it was his imagination?]
no subject
Weird. I wonder what-- [The thud tears his attention away from the screen momentarily. He looks around the room, as though trying to locate the source of the sound.] What the hell was that?
[If whatever made that noise doesn't immediately make itself apparent, however, he's going to go back to scrolling and snapshotting. That's not nearly enough info and if the thing isn't in the room with them yet, they've got time.]
no subject
... People connected to the elements, perhaps? I have heard of people with magic like that. It seems CERES is looking for them, [ he guesses, sounding contemplative.
The sound behind them steals his attention immediately, however; his ears are sensitive, and they pick up the noise easily. He whips around, eyes darting around to try and find the source. ]
no subject
Maybe those empty tubes are for them.
[His attention is immediately divided when he hears the sound, instinctively commanding the could of dust around the room to form up infront of all the people there and create a metal wolf to defend them.]
Someone open up the computer and rip the hard drive out.
[He wants that data, and he's not about to let....whatever is there to keep him from it.]
no subject
[They've barely started looking at the data, and doing something like ripping open a computer could damage the data and lose it forever. Better to save that for a last resort. Though it does give him a different idea.] Quick, Wright, see if you can find a flashdrive in the console.
[Sure, he rummaged through it earlier but he was looking for something completely different at the time. Maybe he missed it. (Note to self: start carrying around a flashdrive after this) In the meantime, he'll keep scrolling through the elementals document to try and commit as much of it to memory/photograph as possible. Apparently they've got a wolf guard now so they're probably fine for a while.]
no subject
[Why am I the one taking orders suddenly? But there's on time for complaints. He feels around the area, trying to find any kind of flash drive. He thinks he remembers what one looks like.]
no subject
It's not empty anymore.
A few more hard cracks of clawed hands against the glass, and it shatters, spilling noxious green fluid over the floor and letting the creature out as well.
It hisses, staring at them with wide eyes. ]
no subject
But when he hears the glass shatter - that was his tube - he looks back and beholds something entirely inhuman. Immediately, he screams.]
HRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!
no subject
Sic 'em!
[The metal wolf protecting Phoenix growls before leaping into action at it's masters orders, immediately jumping on top of it and sinking it's teeth into it's shoulder. Simultaneously Richter summons his sword and rushes the creature, and with blinding speed, using a draw slash with the blunt edge the to knock it away from the group. The benefits of a long sword with one edge, the blunt side is great for crushing bones.]
no subject
What the fuck!?
[Kuzuryuu immediately reaches for his gun, grabbing it but not getting a chance to fire it before he's dragged away by chains. Okay, this is not fine by him but there's not really much he can do. Especially with Richter rushing forward like that, as much as he doesn't really like the guy he also doesn't want to accidentally shoot him.]
[He will snap a picture of that monster though, since he still has his Cerevice out. Gundam would probably kill him if he didn't bring back at least that much.]
no subject
He remains there, curled up on the ground, breathing weakly, but the damage has clearly been done. He's not going to be getting back up.
The rasping noises made between gasps of air are likely attempts at words, but he can't seem to get enough air to offer them up fully. Nonetheless, the translation software that has been implanted into the characters is clearly trying to translate it, alerting their brains that he is trying to speak with them.
The green liquid from the test tube pools under their feet as the shattered tube fully drains out into the air. ]
no subject
Hold it! [He tries to step forward towards the creature, desperately wading through the green liquid.] It's trying to say something. We... we need to do something! Anything?
no subject
I don't...think there's anything we can do. [He looks over to Zara, as if asking for some kind of confirmation of that fact. He is some kind of doctor after all.] Skeens?
no subject
Damn it, [ he spits under his breath, dropping his cane on the floor and rushing to the strange mer-person's side before Kuzuryuu even prompts him. He's never seen anything like this in his life, but it seems mostly humanoid - not so different from himself, actually. But that's not the only problem. ]
I don't have my first aid kit with me! But we need to stop the bleeding. If no major vessels were severed, it might not be too late. [ his voice is urgent and quick; as soon as the words are out of his mouth, he moves to slough off his jacket, pressing it to the wound to try and stop the flow of blood. The broken bones are another matter. For now, there's little he can do about that but assess the damage. ] -- Can you understand me? Try to breathe and stay still.
no subject
[Oh well now he feels like a trash bag. Being trained and raised to strike while the iron is hot has it's disadvantages, but this is why he's a mage.
He growls under his breath, throwing away the sword and scabbard which disappear quickly before they even hit the ground. He watches at what Zara is doing, but he knows exactly what kind of damage he's done. He struck the pelvis, not completely shattering it but he's pretty sure he made a crack, as for the wolf bite, well that can be treated with a little ice. And with that being said-]
Mine power, summon the fangs of cold. Dull it's wrath and call of it's soothing calm.
[Within seconds, small ice cubes start to form next to Zara as Richter just walks off to the side to deal with his growing self hate.]
1/2
But nonetheless, any words that are being said are garbled, as though the translators can't quite pick them up, or were never programmed to do so. It's as if the words are familiar, but not enough to be understood.
Still, it seems to be a little too late for the creature, stuck as he was in the test tube for this long, already somewhat weakened by the experience. Instead, it's just those desperately repeated words, over and over, before he finally slumps. ]
2/2
After a moment, there's a knock at the open door and Mosley stands in the entrance, holding a pack of lightbulbs. He doesn't look very surprised either, eyes glancing between the corpse and the group before he sighs and gives a shake of his head. ]
It is as if I can't leave anyone unattended these days. First there's fires, then slaughtering of innocents, and then elevators break down. Not to mention bombs! Bombs. As if I have nothing better to do than gently hand hold everyone today.
[ Another sigh and he looks towards the corpse, expression flat. ]
I'm going to have to call the clean up crew. Do you know how much they hate coming down here? Why do you think everything's so dusty?
[ He taps the door frame again (being considerate to Break, of course. Because he's blind.) and steps back out into the now brightly lit room from earlier. It's just an empty room, overgrown with moss and other plants. Nothing special except for the door and the staircases. Mosley changed the lightbulb. ]
Come on, we're leaving. Tour over due to needless manslaughter.
[ If they come, he will just start marching back up the stairs, of course. ]
no subject
A message will appear before him shortly before Richter speaks. It reads "You took pictures of the text about elementals, yes? Blink twice if yes."]
Mosley. What-.....Who was that?

▶ END TOUR.EXE
. . . STARTING RESET.EXE. . .
[ Mosley will lead them all out of the room and on to the front doors of the tower, at which point he will bid them a happy farewell complete with a lightbulb for each of them. A souvenir, he calls it.
It's just a lightbulb, though.
And when they've all made it home, at once, all CereVices will ring and when they're pulled out, each screen will show a certain robot those may remember from the previous event. He stares at them blankly for a while before a slow smile spreads across his face and then screen turns black. A few seconds pass and suddenly, letter by letter, a message is shown on the screen. ]
[ And then the CereVice goes dead. Unfortunately, it'll still be out of service for the next six hours before turning on again and working just like normal after that. Well, except for the fact that any information on the CereVice recorded during the tour is now gone. Whoops. Good thing you've still got your brains! ]
