[Mary's excitement for their shopping trip had been catching, which is why today Shiho is waiting outside the entrance to the Shopping District with Kaoru almost directly after school, their bags still slung over their shoulders.

As far as Shiho was concerned: today was going to be great. Nothing, not even the fact that CERES was likely plotting somewhere, or that their mutually shared stalker was in the city could ruin it.

She stretches then leans with one hand held flat against the wall, smiling and searching for Mary.]

[Kaoru won't hesitate to try to sling her arm over Mary's shoulders.

She nods along to Shiho's answer.]

Yeah, don't worry about it. Are you ready to go?

[ Look at that, she's actually not flinching-- even relaxing a little! ]

Yes! I'm all ready.

[ Just don't run. ]

[No worries, Mary. It's difficult to shop properly (in Shiho's opinion) when you ran the whole way through the Shopping District. She'd much rather stroll, occasionally adjusting the grip she has on her bag.

There are stalls with tiny trinkets (some normal, some delicately creepy and others solid and questionable-looking) as well as shops with clothes and anything they can imagine. Shiho looks at a store full of fluffy dresses that look like things Mary might like.]

So, where should we start first?

[You certainly learn fast, Mary!

Kaoru smiles brightly as they walk, with her bag casually thrown over her shoulder, in counter-point to how Shiho always walks and carries herself in a very lady-like way (it just wasn't Kaoru's style.)]

I think we should go try on clothes.

[immobileyes]

Can we?

[ Mary has no schoolbag whatsoever - because school is still kind of too daunting for someone who'd been labeled a monster - so she just keeps her hands clasped in front of her-- whoops, no, they're clenched under her chin now. ]

I've never had a friend who's tried on dresses with me before!

[ Because Kido liked pants. ]

Of course!

[Shiho's already skipping ahead to the store with all the fluffy dresses. They weren't really her regular style or Kaoru's style either, but there was no hard or set rule about what they should or shouldn't wear anyways, right? They wore whatever they liked.]

This store looks cute. What do you think, Mary?

Yeah! Half the fun is putting on cute or ridiculous outfits and modelling it for each other!

[Kaoru follows right after Shiho. She knows what you're doing and she approves 100%! She points to one of the dresses in the display window.]

I think that one would look cute on you, Mary!

They all look so pretty... [ Yeah, this was a good choice, even if Mary's approaching the store more slowly. ] I think they'd look nice on both of you, too.

Well, all three of us are cute girls, after all. It's a given that these'll look nice on us. [Shiho swings her bag so that it's now held behind her. She wouldn't be doing any reaching out and pulling anyone along into the store, but she's waiting for them to follow.

There's a fluffy dress in there with her name on it!]

[Since Shiho won't, Kaoru will just have to reach out and take Mary's hand to pull her in.]

So, do we pick out own dresses, or should be pick them for each other?

I wanna pick one for you guys!

[ IMMEDIATELY. ]

Okay!

Then Kaoru-chan and I will pick for you, Mary! [Mary's excitement is catching.]

How about each of us picks one dress for each person? This way we'll all have two dresses to try!

That's a good idea! Then no one is left out. [ Firm nod-- as she already starts in to GRAB SOME GOOD ONES. ]

[Shiho picks a rack at random, sifting through dresses in every colour of the rainbow, all fluffy-skirted and poofy-sleeved.

After some careful thought, she chooses this for Mary and this for Kaoru. How's everyone else doing? She turns to watch (after picking up some matching bows for them to wear too.]

[Kaoru went to another rack, one further from where Shiho and Mary are because she wanted to make this a surprise.

Kaoru looked through the dresses, occasionally holding one out to look at it before putting it back. In the end she settles ith this dress for Shiho and this one for Mary. She drapes them both over her arm and turns to them.]

Hey, I'm done! What about you two?

H-hold on, I'm almost--!

[ Mary's trying to liberate herself from the sea of fluffiness, but she finally emerges with two carefully-held dresses, one for Kaoru, and one for Shiho. ]

Sorry... there were a lot.

It's fine, no worries!

[Shiho almost steps forward to save Mary from the clutches of the fluffy dresses when she manages to get out safely without any help at all.]

That's okay! Wow...these are all so cute!

I'm sorry this tag is so late. It's been a weird week.

[Kaoru laughs a little.]

There are a lot, aren't there?

[She holds one dress in each hand and hands them over to whoever they go to, draping it over a free arm or shoulder. Which ever seems more convenient.] So this one is Shiho's and this one is for you, Mary!

They really are cute... [ AND SHE'S SPARKLING. ] Thank you! They look like they'd be fun to twirl in.

You have to twirl for us when you try them on, then!

[Twirling in dresses is an integral part to the shopping experience, of course. Shiho heads for the dressing rooms, claiming one for herself.]

And, my weeks continue to be weird. Sudden changes in my daily schedule are terrible for RP.
