Hey, everyone! Wow, I'm really recording, huh...?

[Leia's face appears on the camera. She might look a little bit nervous, because wow--you can't take back something you say live on video as easily as you can on paper, but don't be fooled. She's determined, and since signing up for a blinde date, she's far more into this Valentine's thing than she ever expected.]

So I know there's a lot going on right now, with everyone recovering and exchanging information. The last thing I want to do is interrupt all that, but it's a new month, and I think Mabel's got the right idea. We need cheer in our lives again, and we need a little romance!

I'm going to be helping her out by selling these adorable heart candies I found. [She holds up one between her fingers before the camera pans to show a small bowl of various colors.] They're color-coded with meanings, so you can tell your friends and loved ones exactly how you feel--and you can even make up your own meanings if you want to.

I'll have them available starting today all the way up until the big day, so be sure to stop by the Game Center and see me! The name's Leia.

[WIPES SWEAT drinks juice really fast. That was a lot of talking she just did. Hopefully she made sense.]

b.) but what if you're color-blind (action)

[Later on, just like she said, Leia can be found behind a booth near the gaming center. She's set up with little jars of the aforementioned heart candies, as well as small fancy-looking pouch bags coming in white, pink, and red. There are also two neat piles of tags with string attached so they can be tied to the pouches: with one side having the standard To: and From: labels, and the other containing a legend of various colors corresponding to the hearts.

In one pile, the meanings are spelled out; and on the other, they're blank, in case anyone wants to write their own, as she promised.

At the end of the table also, there's a copy of the latest issue of the Cerealia Times for anyone to pick up and read, as well as fliers for Mabel's blind dates. She hopes you've signed up! She isn't shy about inviting people over, either, so if you're passing by, even without having seen her video, you might hear her calling out to you.]

Hi! Need some special candies for your special someone? Maybe a friend?

[She'll give the explanation as many times as she needs to, and talk about all of the different meanings if that's what your character wants! Anyone is welcome to try a couple pieces from the free sample bowl as well, to see how they taste (spoilers: sweet as hell).]

You can expect the booth to be set up for at least a couple hours almost every day, likely after her work shift (so if you want cat costume shenanigans, just say the word).

[It seems like Larry keeps running into the right people at the right time lately! He's been scouring the marketplace and game corner for potential gifts for his date in the coming days...and a bag of candy hearts sounds like a good gift to him! Or at least, an additional gift to go alongside a bigger gift.

He comes to a halt beside Leia's table and offers her a wave.]

Hey! Y'know, I've actually got a date coming up...d'you think she'd be into these?

[Truthfully, he tends to go for chocolates.]

[At the greeting, Leia turns her head and returns Larry's enthusiasm with a wave. It's hard to answer his question, of course. She doesn't know who his date is!

But that's okay, because he probably doesn't either.]

Hey! Did you sign up with Mabel, too?

[It's not an insult. She just kind of assumes.]

[It's not a wrong assumption! Larry seems a little surprised by the guess, but he's not bothered by it.]

Oh! Yeah, you figured me out!

[Man, there must be a lot of psychics around...wait, are those fliers for Mabel's sign-ups?]

A lot of people must be signing up, huh?

[Leia laughs.]

It seems to be a big hit, yeah. I'm so happy for her.

[And above all, she's glad she decided to sign up, despite her initial reservation...]

I don't know that I can promise your date will like them, but it wouldn't hurt to take some anyway! Here, try one.

[Leia lightly sticks her hand into the free sample bowl and pulls out a heart or two to offer to him.]

You can't go wrong with dating services this time of the year. She's a genius for coming up with it- and running it all by herself!

[He has to give props to productive romantics- especially kid romantics. That girl's going places!]

It's the thought that counts, yeah? Let's see...

[He accepts the hearts and examines the colors before popping them into his mouth. He contemplates the taste...and they taste surprisingly good!]

Huh. These taste way better than the candy hearts I'm used to. Maybe they'll go over pretty well with my date!

[It's probably one of the more positive reactions she's had! There's a bit of relief every time--she can't help it. She smiles encouragingly.]

Bring some along! They're so cheap, and even if it doesn't go well, you'll still have plenty of time to give it to someone else.

I hope it does, though. [He seems like a kind-hearted guy who deserves it.] I believe in Mabel.

[As long as they're not extra chalky, they're bound to be better than the other heart candy competition! At least, that's how Larry sees it.

He grins back in response.]

When you put it that way, it's hard to lose! Sure, I'll grab some. [He examines the different colors, now making note of the color chart.] So I just go with the most fitting colors?

[He's picking out some purple ones to start while he waits for advice on what to go with.]

Yeah, I don't really know Mabel but I'm sure she knew what she was doing. She knew exactly what was on my mind when I passed by her table the other day. She's gotta know what kinda date I'd like too if she could read my mind that well!

[She's not sure about all that. There are certain things humans just can't do, and she's pretty sure mind-reading is one of them; but she suspects she's taking him way too seriously anyway. She'll laugh it off and picks a couple more colors for him.

Namely the lighter blues.]

Whatever colors you want. Since you're not a mind reader and you don't know who your date is yet, I guess covering a broad rainbow of colors might be best.

I could fill a little jar for you.

[He looks very appreciative as Leia helps pick out some colors. Light blues: perfect idea! He grabs a few more to help out, snagging some oranges along the way as he digs around.]

I guess these orange ones would be good too then? Since we're technically going on a date already...

[In the end though, he comes to a conclusion as he hands Leia the candies he picked up.]

Sure! If you wanna fill in the rest, that's help me out a lot. Maybe...colors you'd like to see if you were the one getting them from a blind date?

[It's super specific but he doesn't know okay. Girls gotta know what other girls would like, right? Right??]

[It's just a shame Leia is so unhelpful, because she's mostly just... putting a little of everything. Of course some of them come off way too strong, so she'll avoid those. Even orange is questionable...

Does he seriously not know the difference between going on a date and dating?

...She won't ask. Gotta be encouraging!! Once the jar is full, she offers him both a regular legend and one that's fill-in-the-blanks.]

Here. You can even decide on your own, what the colors mean to you. Just go with the flow and be yourself!

[The sad thing is he does, he just...has no idea what he's doing with these color meanings. Obviously something isn't clicking well enough with the wording. At least he didn't pick the obviously way too strong ones?

He brightens up considerably at the blank sheet.]

Oh, nice! I kinda like this a lot better- colors have sooo many meanings, y'know? Like, red can mean love but also passion and strength, so I don't really have to mean I love the person I'm just meeting. Smart choice with the blank sheets!

[Oh good lord, there goes the artistic side of him doing color interpretations. Bless Leia for being patient with him.]

[That seems to do the trick! The blanks suit him much better, she thinks, and honestly? She could probably say the same about herself. With her doing most, if not all of the legwork on this project, though, it's tempting to be lazy.

Obviously, it's easier to be anonymous with stock meanings also--but that was never her style anyway.]

[Once he gets the jar and sheet, he offers his free hand for a handshake.]

[Art is totally a legit substitute right.

Larry nods, quite proudly too!]

Yup! CERES put me down as a Caricature Artist officially, but I do a lot more than just that. I can do regular portraits, sculpting, and a bit of acting too!

[She looks impressed!]

That's awesome! All that talent rolled into one. You should show me some of your work!

Oh, right now? Sure!

[He sets the jar and paper down for a moment so he can fish his Cerevice out of his back pocket.]

I thiiink I've got a couple photos of my latest pieces on here somewhere...

[He quickly flips through pages of junk apps before finding the photo storage, aaaand...]

Aha! Here we go!

[He hands Leia the device, instructing her to just swipe through to see more photos.

As for the content itself, it's a series of sketches and paintings. The photo quality isn't amazing- Larry's one artistic weakness, apparently- but the content comes across well enough. They're mostly portraits, some of them definitely cartoony as per his job, but there are quite a few realistically-drawn ones too. According to canon, his work is supposed to actually be pretty good, so Leia can view them however she likes.]

[Leia accepts the device and immediately her fingers slide across the screen, her eyes curious and eager for more. Sure, the quality isn't the best--pictures of pictures aren't exactly ideal--but the quality really is evident.

She's not sure what else she was expecting, but she's surprised.]

Wow! That's the garden...

[Her eyes widen at one picture in particular that she recognizes, and she looks up at him.]

These are gorgeous.

[As Larry remains on standby for potential questions or comments, have can't help but feel a small surge of pride from how Leia's reacting to the artwork. He doesn't often show off his work like this, since his best friends like to give him a hard time about it ever since the incident on that bridge... But this little moment right here? It gives him a reason to consider doing it more often.]

Yup! I did that one when I felt like brushing up on landscapes. This place has some super cool places- there's no way you can run out of inspiration!

[The cityscape is a different beast entirely though...he's not sure if he's ready for that amount of detail.

As for the compliment, well...he's not blushing!! Honest! Okay maybe he is a little. It still feels really nice though.]

Awwwww, you think so? I'm glad!

[Hmmm.]

So...totally hypothetical question since if you want something you don't have to pay, but could you see yourself paying for stuff like that? I really wanna try to do this for cash on the side, like with my caricature drawings.

[If Leia notices the blushing, she doesn't show it. She simply looks up from the screen with a smile, and then seems to look thoughtful as she peers back at the picture, considering his question.

Would she pay?]

Well, my walls do still have some room. I think I probably would!

[She doesn't want to promise... she has to start thinking about rent now, which totally stinks, but hey. She's all for supporting friends-to-be.]

Why not give it a shot?

[That's pretty much the best news Larry's heard all day! Aside from discovering this little stand in the first place, anyway. It's hard for him to hide a grin, so he doesn't really try.]

Really? Oh man, I'm happy to hear it! Maybe I'll give it a whirl when I do my caricature stand in a couple days. I can put "portraits and landscapes" as an option too! Thanks, Leia!

[Look at that, he's already coming up with all sorts of possibilities! Leia's definitely slaying it today with her customers.]
