Valentines day hadn’t been anything that he had known about prior to this year. It wasn’t a thing that was celebrated in his own time, but when he found out about it, and how important it was to many couples, he wanted to do something. And there was something he had wanted to ask Botan for a long time.
He was going to propose.
Not the way he had asked her to marry him when she didn’t remember who he was, but properly. But he didn’t know what weddings looked like in a world like this. He had turned to his trusted books, reading up on what a modern proposal and wedding entailed. A ring, he figured out he needed pretty quickly. An engagement ring, it was called. Should they both have one each? And should they be matching? The books only talked about women and rings, and symbolization, but he wanted to show that he belonged to her and no one else. If the ring was a promise, he should be wearing one too. So he got both of them pretty rings, the same kind though it would possibly look a bit out of place on his own hand with how pretty it was, but it was chosen to suit Botan after all.
He had taken the day off from work to make everything perfect. It was nice weather outside, a sheet of snow on the ground. In a park where the snow decorated trees and benches, he cleaned off the snow from the bench and started to set out flowers. He had bought flowers of every kind and shade of pink and purple, He had set up candles, shielded from the wind in their glass lanterns, giving the area an additional glow aside from the street lights.
And come evening, he led Botan to toward the park, making sure she was dressed well enough not to get cold. And with her hand in his, he walked by her side in the guise of an evening stroll. And now that he’s about to ask her, he’s having a hard time keeping the question in until they get to the park. But then the lights and the flowers become visible, and he’s bursting with nerves.

"But you can still feed me one, right?"

"If you want." She smiles and grabs one from the box.

He wiggles around on the bench, scooting a little closer to her and taking her free hand before opening his mouth in expectation.

Chuckling at his actions she moved her hand closer to him before she placed the chocolate into his mouth. Really what was she going to do with this man. "Is it good?"
no subject
He blushes, , chews and swallows before nodding. "It's really good."

Her own blush shows as she pulled her hand back. "Oh, good. I didn't know how they might taste."
no subject
He smiles brightly. "I couldn't imagine you making anything bad."

"Oh...hush you." Botan blushes and moves her head to his chest.

He chuckles, and hugs her tightly before pressing a kiss to her hair. "I love you so much."

She blushed a little more before she hugged him back. "I love you too, Hirari." Gently she pulls back and looks around the park, they were alone. So it would be okay...
Botan placed a hand on his cheek as she moved and pressed her lips to his softly. He enjoyed this kind of thing, so did she, and it felt right.

He blushed, and happily kissed her back, running his hand up to comb through her hair. He loved it when Botan took the initiative. He didn't care if they were alone or not, but on their own it was much more private and intimate. Like they were the only ones in the world for those seconds.

The ways he pressed back only got her to hum, she really enjoyed his kisses. He was incredible in so many ways. Still she was curious to try something she heard about, though she wasn't sure if this would work. There was no hurt in trying it? Especially since they just made such a special promise. As they kiss she gently opens her mouth and presses her tongue to his, unsure if this works.

Hirari hadn't had much experience in kissing. Well, especially not in killing women, since the only woman he wanted to kiss was Botan, but it was enough to know a little bit about it. His cheeks tint another shade darker as he feels her tongue, and he responds by doing the same, not really sure how it worked either. But trying new things was good.

Kissing was still completely new for Botan, Hirari had been her first kiss. Still she did watch some of the images on the box, the tv, and looked in books. This kind of kissing was something couples did and it was supposed to be special. So when she felt his tongue against her own, Botan froze for a moment surprised. Then she begins to move hers over his now. It felt good, even if it was a little odd at first. There was something about tasting Hirari and then the chocolate from earlier.
............kissing, not killing, omg
these two....

Modern entertainment was strange, wasn't it?
When he felt her shiver he pulled away to stand up, offering her his hand. "Let's go and get something warm to eat."
no subject
It was the strangest in multiple ways. Like the moving picture box, they were no where near that back home.
She looked at his hand then placing her hand into his own. It was warm and the idea of going inside somewhere worked for her. "Yes."
no subject
He squeezed her hand, smiling lovingly at her before picking up a pink flower to place behind her ear.

Her eyes open when she felt the flower, looking to him she blushes before she smiled. "Thank you."
