What: Blind dates galore!
Warnings/Rating: Pg-13 for at least language, I'm sure, and also bars/nightclubs are involved. Will be changed/updated as necessary. Please let me know if anything needs to be added here!

[You've got a location, you've got a time, you've got a mission: Date. It's as simple as that! Sure you have no idea who you're about to meet, but there is definitely no harm in trusting the expert skills of a 12 year old girl! [He doesn't want to be here, but that's no surprise. He can't dance to save his immortal life, that is not really music, the patrons are full of sin, and - most important - the prices are immoral. No, honestly, how is a mere florist supposed to pay for that Screwdriver? He can only hope, pray that the lady he is obliged to meet is not half into alcoholic stimulation as he is, otherwise he will have to bet whatever remains of his savings on the next horse race (for there must be horse races somewhere!), and young master would disapprove.

Young master would also disapprove if he stood up a poor innocent lady, who was most likely equally lured into this trap by the adorable little girl who thinks she is Emma Woodhouse. No, that would be just ungentlemanly. And so Kevin has showed up on his best behavior and - God help him - his good Sunday suit, all proper and respectful. His goal is to politely reassure the poor woman of his well kept chastity and spend just enough time with her so he will not offend her feminine sensibilities.

Given his previous experience - or lack of - with the fair sex, Kevin fears that will represent quite an ordeal.

It is only when his eyes locate the person wearing the indigo badge that he realizes this evening will pose an entirely different challenge.]

[Expectations unfortunately do terrible things sometimes--it takes Gongenzaka a fair amount of time to notice the other with the badge, and that fair amount of time means he's still scowling.

It drops when he does spot Ruca of course--but as his default expression was rather stern to begin with, that isn't much of an improvement. Gongenzaka's geta clank as he moves, and when he spots the spot of blue, he frowns questioningly. He...just wants to make sure he doesn't make a mistake after all, so...]

You are... ...Ruca, correct?

_{[Ruca stares at him with fear, tears showing in his eyes. And he nods quickly and then stutters:]}

Y-yes...

_{[Well, he can't hide anyway.

Somebody save him]}

[Another sigh, and he comes to walk closer.] Hmnnn... I, the man Gongenzaka, apologize then... However, I--

[And it is up close that he realizes there are. Tears. In Ruca's eyes. He looks rather like he's terrified in fact, and Gongenzaka very quickly goes from mildly irritated to flustered on the spot.] A-AAUUU!!

W-What's wrong..!? I, the man Gongenzaka, have barely even said anything..! [YOU COULDN'T HAVE ALREADY KNOWN HE WAS GOING TO POLITELY ASK TO JUST LEAVE. YOU COULDN'T HAVE,,,]

_{[Startled, Ruca takes a step back. No, no, no. Don't yell at him! This is definitely not making the situation any better.

Ruca panics and shakes his head.]}

N-no, I-I just... I-I'm sorry! I-I'm so sorry!

_{[He's never meant to make you angry!

Ruca really isn't good at dealing with people. Especially scary people...]}

S-Sorry!?

[AAAAAUUU-] You did nothing..!

If anything, I, the man Gongenzaka, feel as if I should be apologizing..!!

[ --if someone here knows his name, they know it through his brother. he knows that tenka has spent all of his time here being just as sunny, having just as much draw as he has back home. ...a lot of people really love him. ... ... as they should, though.

he's not quite sure where to begin, when they sit down. it's weird, to just bring up his brother, isn't it...? so -- he opts to turn his attention on the other shared detail. ]

You're a swordsman?

[Ruca blinks.]

Excuse me?

[Seriously, what's going on here??]

[ weiss, as usual, arrives early. incredibly early, actually, which — while prompt — leads to that awful moment of sitting at your table alone, watching as others around you arrive in pairs and cozy up.

it's a nice venue, at least. the low, cozy lighting helps accentuate the feel of privacy in the area, though in her white dress (along with the rest of her pale features), she stands out like a sore thumb.

she tries not to worry, to glance up at every person that walks into the building. but she does it anyway, because what was she thinking there's no way she can do this. ]

[A somewhat spiffed-up young man soon arrives in the establishment. Rock Lee has gotten a bit of a makeover. For once, his jumpsuit is at home. He is wearing a getup that somewhat resembles... the one on the right, maybe?. He's wearing a trendy-looking green button-down shirt with a white undershirt (he was convinced to leave the top few buttons unbuttoned), tucked into a pair of black slacks. He's also wearing sleek, street-chic vest and a red scarf. His hair has also been neatened up, shined and trimmed a little, but it is still very much a bowlcut.

This is it... This is the most trying moment of his youth... the blind date. He has already made all of the preparations that he could... He may have even hidden some surprises around the restuarant itself, shortly after learning that it would be the location.

Rock Lee may be unsure on how he feels about obtaining a new romance with Sakura gone, but he is determined to give this blind date challenge his all. He arrives very early to make sure everything is alright. And luckily, someone probably put the idea in his head that he shouldn't do anything too sweat-inducing like pre-date push-ups and sit-ups. Instead, he tries to stand as still as possible, practically vibrating with anticipation, and he tries to pass by the time by examining the fascinating tomato-based art. There is one mishap though, as he spends a good chunk of that time trying to figure out where he misplaced his badge. He will have probably found it and stuck it on his shirt by the appointed time that the blind date starts, however.]

[The first thing she thinks when she sees him is, 'Wow this guy's hair is really something else.' She wondered if he had to style it himself or if he was like Tim who had nanobots in his shampoo with his hair shape coded into them.

It was a mystery at this point.]

Hey!

[In contrast, Kaoru's greeting was bright and friendly. It's okay, Ryouga. She's dealt with her fair share of grumpy people over the years. She might have picked a fight over it when she was 10 but it doesn't even phase her now.]

I'm Kaoru. [Since her badge only says her last name.] You're [Checking out your badge.] Ryouga-kun, right?

[It's certainly not the worst environment for the occasion. Jade's not one who's wanted anything to do with romance. But once he found out that he had been signed up for this service by someone (he thinks he has some inkling as to who would want to prank him in such a way), he thought that to ignore this would be to let that prankster win. Instead, he's determined to be to deliver as satisfying a date experience as he can.

He arrives dressed in his usual outfit, which consists of his military regalia, his name badge now temporarily placed upon it. There is not much out of the ordinary, aside from the fact that he is wielding a very small bouquet of roses. There also seems to be some cologne on him, but that's actually an ordinary thing for him.

Jade arrives at the exact minute that the blind date has been scheduled for, and he scans the area curiously for someone with a matching badge. What is in store for him...?]

Yeah, Tadashi— [ he answers quickly, not wasting any time for any awkward moments. Even though that alone probably makes him over eager. Still, he wants to seem like a good guy! He even stands up when he sees Milla, and takes off his hat before sitting back down the same time she does. ]

These are for you, [ he says, offering the flowers to her. His smile is gentle and friendly, and he doesn't seem stiff or nervous at all. ] I'm not assuming anything or whatever, but I hope you like these, anyway, [ A beat. ] Milla.

I did say that right, didn't I?

[Souji still isn't very sure why he has been signed up for a thing like this, and honestly he's feeling a bit awkward and nervous about the whole thing. He certainly doesn't want to disappoint anyone, after all! If someone has signed themselves up in good faith, truly wanting someone to do romantic stuff with, then it would be pretty sad for them to end up with someone who isn't interested in that kind of thing.

Still, he has dressed himself up in clothes previously okayed by Kashuu as not completely embarrassing, put his hair up in a ponytail, and is now waiting patiently by the entrance to the club. He's bouncing a bit nervously onto the balls of his feet, fiddling a idly a bit with the badge as he waits. Occasionally he glances curiously through the door, not sure why the place has to be so very loud, and what exactly they're meant to do in there at all. At least the music is kind of catchy?]

[ Aura signed up for this because she had nothing better to do in her life, which meant signing up for blind dates. Suuuuure. She didn't have high expectations as she stood in the bar, not even changing out of her work clothes, sipping on some cocktail that was electric green.

... It could be worse. ]

I am going to get that girl back for this nonsense.

[He knew that the name he gave that day would bite him in the ass one day, but he never expected this.]

I guess that's why it's called a "prank".

[He sighs deeply but, what can he do. He certainly doesn't want to be here, but he also doesn't want to stand up whoever he got paired with. Whatever the case, at least he's a good story to tell when his date arrives.

He waits at the bar, nursing a glass of schnapps on the rocks as he searches for his date.]

[Lapis was initially, and still is, Very Unsure about this - she has never been on a date before, so she doesn't really know what to expect or what to do, and there was the worry that she would screw up massively somehow. At least she managed to get her ghost buddy to stay at the apartment, after much grumping and huffing from him. The last thing she wants to do is terrify someone.

At least this is a way to meet someone new, and that's always a good thing. Though she had arrived a bit earlier, she had spent a few minutes psyching herself up nearby the theatre, willing to herself not to be so nervous about this. She has at least made an effort to dress nicely and brought a box chocolates she made for them, so she shouldn't screw up too badly right? Right.

So once she's collected her nerves, and noticed that she's now actually late, she heads towards the front of the theater. Fidgeting with her badge almost nervously, before spotting someone with a similar badge.]

Um... Excuse me? [Luckily Lapis has mastered the art of lineface, so she doesn't look as nervous as she feels when she approaches him.] Are you here for the blind date?

[Well, he wasn't not alone. Labrador has never been on a date before either because a) he died when basically still a child (then there was the whole being sort of reborn/reanimated again by the god inside him) and b) bishops aren't supposed to date.

Labrador was rather surprised when he'd found out that someone had apparently signed him up for a blind date. He soon realized who must have done it though, what with Butch suddenly asking him out old he was out of the blue the other day... He'll have to deal with Butch later. Anyway, it was too late to turn this down now and it wouldn't be fair to the other person if he didn't show up...

Labrador quickly headed towards the arcade dressed in tailored black trousers paired with a matching ruffled black shirt, and his favourite knee length lace up black boots. (He just really likes dressing in black...) All of which showed off his slim figure. His short wavy hair was carelessly yet perfectly tousled as usual. Lab had pinned the badge to his shirt over his heart along with one of his silver roses.

He started scanning the crowd for the other person as soon as he got to the arcade...]

[ Kagemitsu did not sign up for this. He really didn't, and he does not really appreciate Hirari's doing it for him. Not that he minds meeting people, rather, he loves meeting people, but this blind date thing sounded weird. But he decided to go none the less, because not going would be impolite to this... date of his.

But he also doesn't know anything about game centers, and the unfamiliar location makes him nervous. And since he left Poko with Botan for the duration of this thing, he can't get reassurance from the tanuki, either. ]

[Kuzuryuu starts a little as the sound of his name snaps him out of his internal debate. Oh good. He was worried for nothing. They hadn't missed each other and he'd picked just the right place to wait.]

Ah, yeah...that's me. [He inclines his head a little in a small, short bow.] Good to meet you, too.

[His eye roves over her for a moment. Despite how he's dressed, he doesn't actually seem bothered about what Veronica's wearing. After all, that's how a sensible person would dress for a date like this. However, that probably means she actually IS interested in bowling. Which means his chances of talking her into doing something else are fairly low. Damn. He was kind of hoping his partner would find Mabel's plan equally off putting.]

So uh...you have any idea how to play this game? I've never done it before.

[ For dates you wore nice clothes, right? Which is why Butch is wearing completely whole and clean jeans and shirt, instead of his normal a little rugged outfits. The diner has a comfortable feel but then again, the outlaw can feel at home in most places, even if all the odd modernities has made it a bit harder to understand things in this world.

He comes a bit early, but waiting is not a problem for him, even if he sometimes is a bit of an impatient person. ]

[ Just like Lab, his own badge was pinned over his heart, but to his sweater instead. He didn't own anything fancy or tailored, so he hoped his date would find him presentable enough. And that it wasn't a girl, since the one setting it up never asked anything about things like that...

He fiddled with his badge, looking for someone with one of a similar colour. And... was that it? He looked up to see who it was pinned to.

That. Wasn't that someone he knew? His hand dropped to his side, and he bit his lip. Well, not he didn't exactly feel any less guilty. ]

H-hi.

Auh...

W-Well, you were crying..! I, the man Gongenzaka, being the only one standing here at that...

If there is anything that I, the man Gongenzaka, have unknowingly done, please, accept my apologies for it..! [............Not quite what he seems, this guy.]

[Cain Hargreaves does not turn down a challenge, however mortifying the challenge appears to be on description. He particularly does not turn down a challenge related to romance--he's got a reputation to rebuild.

So he dresses to the nines, in a scarlet poet shirt and a pair of skin-tight leather trousers tucked into calf-high boots with a three-inch sole. His hair is artfully mussed, and his eyes are lined with dark bronze powder that brings out the green in his eyes. It's rather genius, really, easily applied and inexpensive. He'll need to play around a bit to do more complex looks, but there's something exciting in the technological advancement that is an eyeshadow palette, even if the field of cosmetics isn't exactly world-changing stuff.

He's pretty. Any woman who doesn't swoon at the sight of him isn't looking closely enough, even a woman named--what was it again?--Gundam, apparently. What an odd name it is; he'll have to inquire as to the origin. Women love talking about themselves, don't they? He scans through the crowd, looking for his blind date, and doesn't find any women by themselves. Perhaps she's running late.

But then his eyes light on the name tag, forming letters he recognizes, affixed to what is decidedly not a woman's breast.

Oh.

Partly because he still can't back down from a challenge, and partly because it would make him the world's biggest hypocrite if he were to take offense, he makes his way over to the young man and raises a hand in greeting.]

In the interest of full disclosure, I've never been on the pursuing end of a same-sex liaison, nor have any of my gentlemen admirers ever followed through. [He smiles at his date, who could really use a bit of assistance on the fashion end of things; his clothing is casual and messy and it doesn't look deliberate. Oh, well. Perhaps he can be will be a positive influence.] You can call me Cain.

_{[Yuto leans on the nearest wall, arms crossed over his chest as he's watching people passing by. He doesn't know who decided to send him on this "blind date", but he'll find out sooner or later.

Right now, he's waiting. And the moment he sees the person he's supposed to meet here, he'll tell them that he has no intention to go on any dates with anyone. Simple as that. He doesn't want to be here, after all. Who knows, maybe the person he's supposed to meet will in the same situation. It would be even better that way.

But what if it's somebody he knows? Well, it doesn't matter. It'll still be the same. Even if it will be a bit embarrassing to him.]}
