Apparently, though, someone else thought about signing him up, and thus, he's here, looking pretty sour about the entire thing. He had to call out of work for this, and he's not happy about it...! Even less so now that he's arrived at the location and it's completely robotic. Zara's medieval. He doesn't really do robots.
In any case, when he arrives there, he'll be waiting near the entrance with his pin, glancing around for his date. The long ears laying back almost flat on his head indicate his bad mood pretty well. But he has to at least try to be polite. ]

Still, even though he'd gotten a haircut at a boutique after being basically pulled inside, that wasn't really on purpose. He will, though, put both his sleeves on and a blue haori with a wave pattern on the back that he'd gotten from one of the shops - who knows where it came from. As usual, he has his sword tucked into a thin black belt around his middle. When he walks into the resturaunt, he'll give a yawn, wiping at his eye a bit before tucking his hands back into the sleeves of his coat in front of him.
Right now, he's just looking around for someone; he's got his name-tag on, nice and visible. Two people who don't want to be here at all; this is going to be a great night.]

fortunately, eagle-eyed Zara spots the man coming in with a matching badge pretty quickly, and... wait, man? He stares at Gintoki for a few more seconds, as if making sure that's really the blind date badge and not a strange fashion statement, but there's really no mistaking it. Inwardly, he sighs. Well, it doesn't really matter that much, he supposes. The important thing is just getting this over with.
Straightening his collar slightly and trying to look a little less glum, Zara approaches him, forcing a smile onto his face. ]
Excuse me, sir. Are you here for the, ah... [ gesturing to his badge, although he hesitates for a moment before actually saying it: ] ... date?

Ah-aah. The date. . . I guess this is it. [He sounds so unimpressed, but suddenly he remembers manners, sort of. He'll read the other's nametag slowly.]
Za-ra. Zara? Hmm? I'm Gintoki. . . oh, my name-tag says that. . .

Yes, it's Zara. Nice to meet you, Mr. Gintoki. [ a beat. It doesn't look like this Gintoki fellow is going to move things along, so it falls upon him to keep this from being disastrously awkward. Good thing he's a gentleman. ] This is all rather strange, but let's try to make the best of it, I suppose. Shall we sit down?
[ because one of the robot waitresses is starting to give them the stink eye. ]
