therapeuticGuns and I will be there to help asap! I should have gotten all the proper tags in there, but please make sure you're included! I may have missed a name or two!

God it just keeps flaking off...how can one little badge have so much loose glitter!?This is probably not the best attire for something like bowling, but suits are really all he owns. At least he replaced his animal skull tie with a more appropriate plain black one.][Vaguely, he wonders if maybe his date is already here and maybe he just missed them. Should he maybe move and start looking for them instead of waiting? Then again, he is a little early, and staying in one spot is usually the better option when you're looking for someone, right? Hm...]

She arrives exactly on time, freshly showered and with her teeth brushed as per the Cerealia Times tips. The gold glitter, despite the fact that it flakes off and gets everywhere (though she couldn't find it in her to mind that at all because it made everything sparkle) makes it easy to find him, at least.]
Kuzuryuu? [She reads it from his badge before smiling at him.]
It is nice to meet you, I am Veronica.
[She'd chosen her own outfit based on comfort, wearing dark jeans, sensible shoes and a knit sweater with a hood against the cold, because the concept of people who could be impressed by clothes of all things was completely foreign to her (surely the person and the personality behind those clothes was much more important).]
no subject
Ah, yeah...that's me. [He inclines his head a little in a small, short bow.] Good to meet you, too.
[His eye roves over her for a moment. Despite how he's dressed, he doesn't actually seem bothered about what Veronica's wearing. After all, that's how a sensible person would dress for a date like this. However, that probably means she actually IS interested in bowling. Which means his chances of talking her into doing something else are fairly low. Damn. He was kind of hoping his partner would find Mabel's plan equally off putting.]
So uh...you have any idea how to play this game? I've never done it before.
no subject
She wasn't expecting him to be wearing a suit (since the tips had said casual dates meant casual clothes, right?) but she'd known someone who went to the shooting range in a suit. If he wanted to wear one, it wasn't her place to judge.]
I have never played, but I have read as much as I could about it. [She looks briefly towards the bowling alley before turning back to him and tilting her head.]
I can teach you, if you'd like.
no subject
Alright, sure. So what do we do first?
no subject
First, we must change our shoes, pick a ball and then find a lane. Then we can try bowling.
[In (or about) that order. This can't go terribly, she's sure of it.]
Come. [She starts leading the way to where there are shoes for rent.]
no subject
[He seems utterly perplexed by the idea, but follows her all the same. Though his worse fears are confirmed when they reach their destination. Wearing shoes that who knows who else has had their feet in? Ew. Still, he's already agreed to at least give this a shot, so he'll change his white slip-on dress shoes out for a pair of bowling shoes with only a very small grimace.]
no subject
[She flips her own shoes after she finishes changing into her own bowling shoes, looking at the grooved underside that she'd never really paid much attention to until now.]
-are not made to help you bowl. There is always the possibility that you may be injured by your shoes sticking to the floor.
[She notices the grimace.]
Is something the matter?
no subject
[Who knows what other person (or weird alien) has had their feet in those shoes? And who knows how well they disinfect between usages. He shakes his head.]
It's fine though, no big deal. [He stares out over the lanes.] So, any preference?
no subject
She's quiet as she looks down over the lanes, and she's not sure what it is she should be preferring. They all mostly look the same.]
Not really. I have no preference. Do you? Shall we ask them if they have one that is cleaner than the rest? [Since hygiene seemed important to him. She's so glad she had a bath before coming here.]
sorry about the late
N-No, it's fine, like I said. We don't have to do something like that, I can deal with it.
[He can't help but regret opening his mouth in the first place. Why is he so bad at talking to people. Why.]
Here, c'mon, this one should be fine, right?
[Desperate to give her something else to focus on, he starts moving towards the closest available lane.]
no worries!
[There was nothing on the floor behind her (she'd turned back to see what he was looking at) but her attention is successfully drawn away when he starts moving towards the empty lane. The shoes are slippery than she expects them to be so she's careful as she walks after him.]
And I would think it is better for you to be comfortable. I would like for you to enjoy yourself today, as well.
[She smiles at him before she starts looking over at the racks of balls. The book she'd read said that she should try to pick by weight so she hefts one with a lower number up, almost surprised by how heavy it is.]
