He was really not expecting this, so his head slowly tilts despite himself, even as he vaguely arches an eyebrow. It's the mildest of surprised expressions on his face, but coming from him, it's basically total bemusement.
He accepts the chocolates, because he has no idea what else to do with them; he can't just leave Kevin standing there with heart-shaped chocolate box extended.

A few individuals who wander dark, deserted places in the middle of the night in search of clueless outsiders with deep pockets seem to share his curiosity. Kevin wonders why they are being surrounded by men wearing socks on their faces. He is about to inquire if they are overly concerned garden keepers when one of them points a gun at his face.

Okay, but Sousei doesn't actually connect the pieces; asking about what he does after he asked Kevin in turn is only natural, really. He's opening his mouth to respond when...well.
Are they really getting mugged here............... Like, people point weapons at Sousei all the time, but he can't remember the last time they were such nonentities as this. But also, he doesn't like being interrupted, and that's incredibly rude, pointing a gun at his date like that.
So it's with an aggravated sigh that Sousei moves, lifting his still-sheathed sword to neatly strike the gun out of the man's hand. A second precise blow puts the mugger on the ground as Sousei slams his sword into the pressure point at his jaw. He doesn't even bother to unsheathe his weapon, honestly, and the chocolates remain neatly tucked under his other arm.
A glance at the others, and he arches an eyebrow.]
Go away. We're busy, and don't have time for this.
[He'll beat them all up if he has to, but he'd really rather they just leave them alone... so they can get back to their date??? Well, okay, he's not in that much of a hurry, but it still seems rude to leave Kevin there watching while Sousei beats people up. Poor date etiquette or something.]
