[ Maybe this get together wasn't so terrible. Jaco always welcomed having common ground with others. Besides, this sort of social networking thing was exactly what he knew he had to do in order to gain some allies. ]

I'm a member of the super elite that roam the galaxy! We soar through space, fighting crime from planet to planet in an effort at maintaining peace. Stop bad guys from becoming space tyrants and that sort of thing.

[ He was thankful that there was no chance he could ask him about Frieza, given that this guy wasn't from Jaco's universe. But still the thought of that one particular tyrant rubbed him the wrong way. ]

Right now I- well I was stationed at Earth.

[ Judging from his expression, Jaco had... some opinions about earthlings. ]

[actlouder]

[ This was a learning experience. Nagasone wasn't very hot on the "date" idea, but getting to learn about someone else and where they came from was fascinating. As a sword that was only just learning things outside of his original time frame, there was so much to commit to memory.]

That's something like space police, right? I belonged to a police-like force myself. [ He smiled a little more. Having common grounds with such a creature was surprising. ]

Was there something wrong with Earth? [ the look gave him pause, thinking about it ] It's probably a very problematic planet for someone looking to maintain "peace".

[patroller]

You did? An admirable role! As for Earth?

[ That momentary smile of his fidgeted and curled into a tight frown. Jaco pointed at the picture of a large cheese burger for the server-droid that had approached. He thought about the simplest way to put his disdain for Earth's corruption. ]

Over my patrol I've learned that there are some good humans. Some. But so many are wicked and selfish! Still... Having the Earth, and the rest of the galaxy destroyed by whatever CERES said is a terrible thing to happen.

[actlouder]

Yes, Earth has a lot of people filled with wicked and selfish intentions. If they're smart, they're also the ones in charge.

[ There was a smile on his face, head tilting to one side. It was a hard truth. Still, he agreed. Things were harder with everything in shambles. ]

It's good you found the good ones. They aren't hard to find, but for some it's hard to look past the bad to find the good.

[patroller]

That's the definite truth! I'm surprised to see a human- Or a sword that is so observant of their kind!

[ Jaco nodded, folding his arms. ]

I was ready not to look past the bad and even eliminate all humans! But luckily I have such super elite control over my temper!

[ That may have been a lie. ]

Are the inhabitants of your world the same?

[actlouder]

[ He gave a little nod. ] I was active in a turning point of history, so I was told when I was summoned like I am now. You get to observe all kinds in this position. It's all you can really do.

[ He folded his arms, leaning back and thinking. ] Humans appear to be very similar all across the board. My ilk was made to be weapons to help them shape their futures and push their ideals. We accompany them through time and trial to create a time where we aren't necessary.

Humans continue to fight and continue to ruin each other, but they also surprise you too. They can be kind and caring and inspirational. They could destroy themselves or save themselves. It's a toss up-- or it was.

[patroller]

[ For once, the alien didn't radiate an aura of over-energetic justice and heroism. Accompanying humans to create a time where they weren't necessary. He was silent, contemplating, as the sword continued. ]

It's a conundrum, I think. Once galactic peace is achieved and maintained, I'm afraid the patrolmen would be disbanded. But in reality, I don't believe we will ever achieve that. There is too much villainy out there! Even if the bad guys won't ever win.

[ A plate was plopped down in front of Jaco by the previous android. A perfectly shaped cheeseburger, almost as if it had been digitally constructed as such. The patroller picked at it, frowning. ]

There will always be heroes and villains in space. Earthlings aren't any different I guess... I don't regret deciding to protect them!
